JENNIFER DESHAZER Jennuine Design www.ajennuinelife.com

LIZ ELLIOTT Thread Faction Studio www.threadfaction.com

MAEGEN FOSTER Paraplu www.maeandk.com

Jill learned to sew as a child but it was when she began working for Ann Taylor she took her skills to another level. She began altering patterns to create the kind of clothing she was selling at Ann Taylor. When her first girl was born she began making her own patterns and with her husband’s encouragement & help they started JillyAtanta Patterns. Jill has contributed the Melbourne Romper to this issue.

Jenn has been sewing since she was a young girl. As an adult she combined her analytical and creative sides to designing patterns and launched her label Jennuine Design in 2014. Her aesthetic is simple patterns with interesting details. With two daughters, her designs lean towards girls, but also offers unisex designs for children and plans to expand to women’s patterns. She has contributed the Calla Lilly Crop Top Pattern to this issue.

Liz is a mum of 2 girls from Brisbane Australia. She has been sewing since she was six years old and now believes she is the luckiest girl in the world to be making her way as the designer behind Thread Faction Studios. She loves the challenge of designing clothes that are as easy to make as they are to wear. She has contributed Thread Faction #111 dress to this issue.

Maegen may have been called a “tie snob,” but that hasn’t stopped her from watching Doctor Who or eating all the Kit Kats she wants. An average American mother of 2.5 children, Maegen loves sewing, reading, and winning games. Since she hasn’t gotten around to writing a novel (and never did get her letter to Hogwarts), Maegen is super excited to present the Oswald, Pond and Williams Bow Ties to this issue.

JEN KENNEDY Ainslee Fox Boutique Patterns www.ainsleefox.com.au

JILL MILLER Orange Daisy Patterns www.orangedaisypatterns.com

SUZANNE WINTER Winter Wear Designs www.winterweardesigns.com

LAUREN WRIGHT Molly and Mama www.mollyandmama.com.au

Jen Kennedy is the designer behind Ainslee Fox Boutique Patterns and the editor of One Thimble. She’s passionate about inspiring self-taught sewists and helping build their confidence and skills. Sewing changed her life and now she’s on a mission to help sewing change the lives of others. Jen has contributed the Azure Party Dress to this issue.

Jill loves to create, and went to school to become an illustrator. After finding it hard to paint with children’s hands wanting to help, she shifted her creativity to clothing sewing and then pattern designing. As a designer, her creative passion comes through in making beautiful clothing with quality techniques. She has contributed the ladies and girls Brook Blossom Skirt to this issue.

Suzanne studied costume design in college, but first learned to sew from her mom. She designs clothes that her active kids can play in, that make them feel special, and that are finished in ways that will keep them comfortable. She also designs for women, because as a curvy gal, shopping in stores can be frustrating. She has contributed the Cozumel Shirt to this issue.

Feeling the urge to get creative but not sure where to start? Lauren from Molly and Mama has a passion for encouraging beginners on their creative journey. Her patterns and tutorials are perfect for all sewing levels, lots of fun to make, and great to get the creative juices flowing! Lauren has contributed the Flutterby Kite and Darling Daisy Girl’s handbag pattern to this issue.
