KYLIE GERSEKOWSKI Little Moo Designs www.littlemoodesigns.com.au
Jenn has been sewing since she was a young girl. As an adult she combined her analytical and creative sides into designing patterns and launched her label Jennuine Design in 2014. Her aesthetic is simple patterns with interesting details. With two daughters, her designs lean towards girls, but she also offers unisex designs for children and plans to expand to women’s patterns. She has contributed the Pixel Pullover to this issue.
JENNIFER GOLDSMITH Frazzy Dazzles www.frazzydazzles.com
Sarah is the British-Australian designer behind Made by Jack’s Mum. Her aim is to make sewing accessible to all, whilst creating simple and stylish clothing designs. Having two gorgeous boys to inspire her means that MBJM has developed a definite boy bias! Sarah has contributed the Beep Beep Raglan Sweater to this issue.
Kylie is the designer behind Little Moo Designs. Etched with a bohemian vibe, Little Moo Designs patterns are created for levels from beginners to intermediate. With a love of textile blends, they gear towards mixing leather and cork fabrics with woven fabrics. She believes a new outfit is an excuse for a new handbag, and what better way to personalise your outfit than sewing your own unique bag or clutch. Kylie has contributed the Pinky Promise bag to this issue.
CANDICE MASON My Felt Lady www.myfeltlady.com
Jenny began making toys when her son was a toddler. She started with sewing chickens using an op shop pattern and from there taught herself to draft so she could make her other toys come to life! She is passionate about encouraging people to try their hand at sewing and give to their children, family and friends handmade treasures that they have stitched together. Jenny has contributed Dixie the Silkie to this issue.
BERNADETTE REINECKE Duchess and Hare www.duchessandhare.com
Candice owns My Felt Lady, an Australian craft store supplying premium wool products and good old country customer service straight from her home in Chinchilla, Queensland, Australia. Over the past four years, she has found herself designing patterns to share how versatile wool felt can be. Candice has contributed the Felt Activity Board to this issue.
SARAH SCOTT Piccolo Studio www.piccolostudio.com.au
Bernadette’s love of vintage style marries a modern fit in Duchess & Hare patterns. Creative and meticulous, she pairs a practical tone with clear tutorials, and delivers a no nonsense approach to sewing that is sure to please anyone with a vintage aesthetic. Bernadette has contributed the Monster Mash Pinny to this issue.
KYLIE O’MAHONY Kaela’s Patch www.kaelaspatch.com.au Kylie’s had a love for sewing and quilting from a very young age, after being taught by her grandfather. In August 2016 she was able to live a dream and open a fabric and haberdashery business plus classroom, with her husband Tom. She has a love of making and creating items and being able to share this love with her customers everyday. Kylie has contributed the Take and Play Wall Hanging to this issue
LAUREN WERNLI Sew by Pattern Pieces www.etsy.com/shop/SewbyPatternPieces
Sarah is a mum to three from South Australia. She has a passion for handmade and the value of shopping small. For four years she has been selling quilts and other home décor pieces under the name Piccolo Studio and is now venturing into pattern making, something she is finding both challenging and rewarding. Sarah has contributed the Piccolo Traffic Cushions to this issue.
Help us keep making magic ... Please don’t share our dreams away.
Lauren began freelance patternmaking in the Year 2000. It is rare that she sees the finished result of her freelance work as it is made and shipped off straight from the factory. The decision to create her PDF pattern brand, Sew by Pattern Pieces, came about because she wanted to learn new skills and see things made by happy home sewers around the world with her patterns. Lauren has contributed the Playtime Dress to this issue.
