She has contributed the Desert Fox pattern to this issue.

RENEE HALL Fat Red Bird Designs www.fatredbirddesigns.com.au Formerly dabbling in an array of marketing and graphical design work, Renee’s two kiddies came into the picture and the switch to full time mum opened the crafty flood gates. With sewing skills learned from her mum as a child, a stash of vintage dress making books, bulk amounts of butchers paper & a bit of geeky love for her computer, Renee’s passion is evident in all her patterns. She has contributed the Fat Red Bird Fedora to this issue.

PATTERN BY LAUREN OF MOLLY AND MAMA

Coco Flower Crown This is such a fun project to create and it’s so versatile! Make up a whole bunch of flowers and succulents and let your imagination take over! You could create a hair wreath with just tiny flowers, or make a statement piece with just one large flower and some pretty leaves. It’s all up to you. I like to make a number of felt pieces first, and then play around with the different combinations to see what colours and styles work best together.

The Jackalope Tee is a great pattern for combining knit and woven fabrics! The side stripes are perfect for using up small amounts - even scraps - of a favorite woven print while the knit fabric keeps all the comfort of a tee shirt. The sleeves are cuffed and the bottom can be cuffed or hemmed which means it comes together quickly. Long and short sleeve options will make it a year-long staple.
