Paul Luimes, researcher at the University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus. This course will provide new and existing producers with a foundation of knowledge in sheep nutrition, giving them the basic tools to be able to optimize the balance between feed, meat quality and profitability. Linking nutrition with the cost of production, producers will be made more aware of the relationship between nutrition, management and profitability. Topics covered in the course include: Feed Types; Nutrients; Digestive Physiology; Nutrient Requirements; Ration Formulation; Feed Management. The new standards May 29 August 21 will help sheep and goat producers improve the health of their flocks and July 10 October 9 strengthen their on‐farm biosecurity activities. The National Sheep On‐Farm Biosecurity Standard is available at www.inspection.gc.ca. It was developed over two years through a partnership with the Canadian Sheep Federation and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), in
