THE COURSE GETTING LOST
YETI TIP
Every year thousands of visitors get on a bike and make it to Abingdon. This is a rails to trails. Trains don’t make lefts or rights and neither should you. Don’t be the first person to ever get lost on the Creeper Trail.
Please pick up your feet for the first 9.8 miles especially coming into Taylors Valley. The creeper train used to burn a lot of coal getting up the mountain and discarded a lot of large chunks of spent coal . These spent coals are extremely sharp and a fall usually results in stitches or having coal buried under your skin forever. Keep your race feet high and moving.
DON’T BE THE FIRST
PAY ATTENTION
FIRST 9.8 MILES
Pay attention at all road crossing and trail junctions.
RESTROOMS MEDICAL
Restrooms are located along the course. So many.
We will have medical staff located at the FINISH inside The Finish Tent.
