Taryn Watt and Iain Fullelove met through Uni friends on a night out, two weeks before Taryn moved to Sydney. “We did long distance dating for a year before I moved back to Brisbane to be with Iain.”

“The proposal happened when Iain decided we should have a mini-vacation in Byron Bay. We booked an adorable Airbnb, packed the car and our dog and took off. Halfway there, our Airbnb messaged us to say some pipes had burst and we could no longer stay. Knowing he wanted to propose, Iain hastily booked us somewhere new, which ended up being even nicer than the original place we booked. He lit the fireplace, set out loads of little candles, cooked my favourite meal, popped the champagne and then got down on one knee. It was perfect.”

“Our wedding inspiration was a mix of a royal wedding and a fairytale. I’ve always had a big imagination and wanted a big, dream wedding in a cathedral and a big long veil.”

“Our advice for others is with all the stress that comes with planning a wedding, especially as the day draws closer, remember why you’re doing it - to be married to the love of your life! When you remember that, all the little details you’re worrying about become far less important.
