After barely a year has passed, Europe’s premier cinematography exhibition is back with a bang. The annual celebration of technological innovation, BSC Expo, returns. The rhythm of the filmmaking world has settled – it’s business as usual.

It is always a great privilege to share the exhibition space, to meet and greet old friends, to forge new relationships and to be introduced to new equipment and technologies that will soon be ubiquitous on film sets across the world.

In addition to this preview guide - profiling the exhibitors that will grace the halls with their innovation, craft, and dogged dedication to cinematographic excellence - the latest edition of British Cinematographer takes an advanced look at the event. The human element behind the industry is also celebrated alongside the technology. Join us at the Talent Bar to engage with the future generation of filmmakers, or the seminar room where our panels discuss the cinematographic issues of the day and pick up a copy of the BSC book in which Phil Méheux BSC and James Friend ASC BSC celebrate the 74 years of BSC cinematic output.

For anyone unable to attend in-person, the seminar room will be live-streamed straight into your synapses (or via an internet provider), and equipment overviews will be available on the British Cinematographer video portal, BCinePlayer, as well as being covered in future issues. The media partnership that connects the BSC, the BSC Expo and British Cinematographer magazine is a creative alliance that aims to inspire, inform, and educate at every level of the cinematographic craft.
