The Role of CSOs in OGP Anano Tsintsabadze

Mechanisms of Working with Government for inclusive Service Delivery In partnership with other CSOs, OSGF come up with the idea to implement the mechanism of co creation and co implementation on subnational level, similar to the one existing on the national level -the multi stakeholder Forum.

Standout examples of initiated reforms

• OSGF intensely advocated for inclusion of creation of the participatory budgeting mechanism in subnational action plan; • After it was assumed as the star commitment to be implemented by Tbilisi city hall, OSGF provided expertise support to the municipality; • The biggest benefit of the support is its sustainability, as in case of relevant political will, Tbilisi municipality will be able to use the instrument in the future and keep on with implementing the budgeting, oriented on basic needs of the society, strengthening the process of public participation.

Role of CSOs in continuity of the reforms OSGF is implementing external initiatives to make sure OGP is up and running for Tbilisi municipality during political changes.

Contribution to Enhancing SDGs

• OSGF is committed to practice the globally engaged discourse of “localizing global agendas” in OGP; • For new action plans, OSGF advocates for expansion of forums with more grass root participants; • OSGF has hosted the study tour for SDG 16+ forum participants, where our representatives where able to cover their plans to integrate SDGs in OGP through going beyond SDG 16; • OSGF is also part of national council, created to implement SDGs in different policy documentation.
