Welcome I’m so lucky to have been involved with this wonderful event since it started. Back in 2012 Open House was a global success, but how would the people of Perth respond? The answer: With the kind of warm embrace usually reserved for a treasured friend or family member. Indeed since then, OHP and its destinations have become part of the Perth family - a gloriously harmonious, rapidly expanding family! For our 5th birthday there are more than 90 destinations, making this our biggest and best event yet. If you’re a lover of Perth, architecture, design, history, or simply having an old-fashioned sticky beak inside buildings and homes which are normally off limits, this weekend is for you. As an inner city resident and passionate promoter of Perth, I’m extremely proud to be the event’s Foundation Ambassador. Useful Information What’s this Open House Perth business? We are a not-for-profit organisation that LOVES local design and want to share it with you - completely for free during our event weekend November 12-13. Read the Event Guide and Website Carefully. While Open House Perth would love to unlock all our destinations over the whole event weekend, unfortunately this is not possible. Please look up each destination for the dates and times of their opening hours, so that you don’t miss out. How do I get inside? Look out for an Open House Perth banner, poster or one of our friendly volunteers. If you want to visit a destination that requires booking (or ballot) this must be done through our website or email cbarrett@openhouseperth.net - you will receive confirmation a few days prior to the event. Some like it hot! Remember it can get pretty hot in November, so if you are out and about don’t forget to slip, slop, slap, and drink plenty of water. So many destinations, so little time... We recommend you plan ahead of time - with over 95 spaces to see and do it’s a good idea to make a list of your favourite destinations and when they are open. You can create your own itinerary by registering through the website. Limited capacity Unfortunately some destinations simply can’t fit everyone.
