GLOBAL VILLAGE PLUS ABOUT GLOBAL VILLAGE+ Why only hear or read about world needs and God’s mission when you can experience it for yourself? Global Village+ is an innovative and interactive project that allows teens and adults to go on a simulated mission trip.
Global Village+ is designed to motivate Christian’s of all ages to engage with the Great Commission.
Whilst encountering a broken world face-toface, participants discover more of God’s heart for people, challenging them to reflect Jesus in difficult places, local and global.
Together, you can Discover, Encounter and Explore how your fellowship can get involved in mission.

Everyone*, aged 13+ is welcome, and you will participate in groups of up to 10. Invite your congregation, home group or youth group and experience mission without leaving the UK.

YOUR JOURNEY STARTS HERE DISCOVER At your designated departure time, you will check-in at OM’s departure lounge prior to boarding your simulated journey to a broken world. As your journey begins you will Discover more of God’s mission and heart for people.

BEFORE YOU DEPART EXPLORE
On arrival at your destination, your eyes will be opened, and you will Encounter a Broken World. What breaks God’s heart, breaks ours. Here, participants will identify and be challenged with sinful things that ail this world, from Alcholishm and Poverty to Western Greed. How else can we heal this Broken World except by sharing our hearts for Jesus?
Prior to making the onward journey to your next destination, Explore ways to get involved and make a difference. Process your experience with our trained debriefing team and discern what God might be saying to you. Since 1957, over a hundred thousand people have been called to serve God with OM. Many thousands more have been called to minister here in the UK. Through prayer and perseverence, how can we see on Earth what already awaits us in Heaven?
FAQs WHAT IS GLOBAL VILLAGE+? Global Village+ is a ministry of OM. However, we firmly believe it’s not just an OM thing, but a God thing. And we’re excited about how this project is transforming the Church across Europe. Engaging all your senses, Global Village+ is an interactive simulation that allows Christians to experience mission without having to leave the UK. The aim is to motivate the Church into action. Whilst the simulation itself is TOP SECRET, you can expect to be challenged.
WHO CAN COME? IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE? Global Village+ is not exclusively a youth event, anyone aged 13+ can come. The recommended minimum age is 13 however; some allowances could be made with parental permission. Please contact us ahead of time if you would like to bring a child aged 11-13. I WANT TO HELP OUT AT THIS EVENT, DO YOU NEED VOLUNTEERS? We always need volunteers. We need handy people to help build the experience, but also actors, café volunteers, make up artists and creative folk to help run it. Email globalvillage.uk@om.org for information.
IS THIS AN EVANGELISTIC OUTREACH? No. This is a project designed to mobilise Christians into action. However, across Europe hundreds of Christians have been motivated to participate in local and global mission as a direct result. Whilst not directly evangelistic, the domino effect certainly is! NB. Whilst not intended as an evangelistic event, Global Village+ is suitable for those exploring their faith and with an interest in Christianity. We have witnessed many nominal Christians discover a true relationship with Jesus as a result of Global Village+. However, be advised that encouragement of these individuals to attend should be made with discretion to allow appropriate follow up within the individuals regular fellowship.
