2 Global Outreach Day
The vision of the Global Outreach Day is to share the Gospel around the world in great unity - on one day!
I
t´s not about an organization, a church or a preacher - it´s about Jesus! Imagine if the entire population of China, some 1.4 billion people, were to jump off a chair at the same time. Could that maybe even kick the Earth out of orbit? So what would happen if millions of Christians shared the Gospel in unity?
But you will receive power, when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth

any churches and ministries were active on 2nd June and reached people with the Gospel. We can only guess what happened on that day in the whole world. But above all, we want to make it clear that God is not interested in numbers and statistics, but in people. On this day, a number of leaders mobilized their congregations and members to share the Gospel: A.E. The Vision
The VISION In October 2010, God gave me the vision for the Global Outreach Day. I was at an outreach event in Pakistan, which is one of the most dangerous countries in the world. My hotel was almost a fortress and you had to go through lots of security checks before they even let you enter the building. It was there, near Faisalabad, where I experienced God‘s presence and within a few moments, the vision was born. Pakistan Security in Pakistan
• Share the Gospel • on one day • in unity • everywhere in the world. I was totally amazed by this and imagined what it would be like if millions of Christians shared the Gospel on one day, everywhere in the world. What an amazing thought! For two days I experienced God‘s presence so clearly and deeply. Obviously I asked myself whether I´m the right person for this vision. In prayer I said: “Lord, I‘m not Loren Cunningham, the founder of Youth With A Mission, who has lots of employees all around the world“

God‘s answer wasn‘t an apology for not having worn his glasses. God doesn´t need glasses. He called Moses and Jeremiah although they weren‘t good speakers; and he also called Peter, who didn´t even feel worthy enough to untie Jesus‘ shoelaces. After two days in prayer, I gave in. With tears in my eyes I offered myself fully to God. Back then I didn´t believe it would be possible to put this vision into reality in such a short time.
Acts 29 G
od‘s story goes on, and Peter and Paul are no longer there to carry on writing Acts. But we can! The Global Outreach Day is a new chapter. The day was absolutely unique! There has never been a worldwide wave of evangelism like this in the entire history of Christianity. In November 1989 I lived in Berlin and I was there when the Wall came down. I know how it feels to live in a history book. People were standing on the wall with tears in their eyes and everyone knew that this was a historic moment. Only a few hours later, I was standing and celebrating on the wall as well, and I knew how amazing all of this was. 9th November 1938 was the darkest day in German history, when the Nazis started to chase and murder Jews in the so-called Night of Broken Glass. And 51 years later on
The fall of the Berlin Wall on 9th November 1989.
this same date, the wall between East and West opened up. This was no coincidence. God, who is full of love and mercy, is sovereign and He is writing history. It‘s the same with the Global Outreach Day. God is writing His unique story here as well and we all get to be a part of it. There is nothing better than being there when the 29th chapter of Acts is being written. You can be a part of this chapter as well. God uses ordinary Christians for His plans. The vision was extraordinary and it was only by God‘s grace that so much happened. But it also cost me a great deal to put this vision into reality. In one year I flew around the world ten times.
Seoul in South Korea. In China I almost got arrested by the state security service. But at the end of the day, all this hard work was more than worth it!

Before the Global Outreach Day
Before the Global Outreach Day ide Many people dec ith to follow Jesus, w people God using young healings. for extraordinary
It was the autumn of 2007 when our ministry got totally changed. We were at a conference with Cindy Jacobs who had a prophetic word for us. “This is a summer to go. God will use teenagers to share the Gospel in Germany and you will see many healings. Forget your other plans!“ It was about ordinary Christians who were going to experience God‘s extraordinary works. So we started the first tour through Germany and experienced something which we‘d never seen happen before. Many people made a decision to follow Christ and God used teenagers and even children to bring about extraordinary healings. A 15 year old girl prayed for a blind man who could see again after receiving the prayer. A young man prayed for a woman in a wheelchair who then got up and started walking. In the evening she came to our event and danced for joy. In Frankfurt we were in the City Center for just one hour. Within this short time, 74 people gave their lives to Christ. Among them were even some Muslims. A girl talked to a homeless woman who could speak neither German nor English. The girl was so desperate to reach her with the Gospel and started praying in tongues. To her surprise, the woman understood her and even answered. Her eyes were sparkling even though the young evangelist didn‘t know what she was saying. All of this grew to become a strong movement in different parts of the world. It doesn‘t revolve around a big event or a famous preacher – it‘s about normal Christians standing up and sharing their faith. Since we started, over 400,000 people in Germany alone have prayed to give their life to Jesus.

Interview
Fruit that Lasts! Susi Wespi: Susi Wespi from the City Church in Zürich tells us how summer2go changed her church. Summer2go was in Zürich for 2 days and that really inspired and changed our church. It started a dynamic wave of evangelism in our church so that several months later, people were still coming to accept Jesus as their Lord.
Here are some examples: • A prostitute decided to follow
Jesus and left the red light scene immediately.
• A homeless drug addict is now
free of drugs and has even found a job.
• A world-class athlete, who
used to be a diver at the Olympics, became a Christian.
Susi Wespi from the City Church and YWAM, Zürich
People gave their lives to Jesus at McDonald‘s, on public transport, in red light districts and even under the shower at a public swimming pool. We reached people from across the whole social spectrum, from the homeless to the rich, engineers and waitresses, police officers, murderers, prostitutes, drug addicts, teenagers, children, old people, Muslims, people in the New Age scene... It just kept getting better and better, and out of this dynamic the evangelistic event “winter2go“ was born. In just a few years, it has spread to 5 continents. A few weeks before Christmas, Christians dress up as Santa Claus and go out to tell people about Jesus.
This way, we were able to reach people in Australia, Vietnam, Pakistan, Kenya, Brazil, the United States and many countries in Europe. Before the first worldwide winter2go, I was in Portugal and God gave me a vision of a wave of evangelism going around the world. Boldly, I prayed that we would mobilize 500,000 Christians for evangelism within the next couple of years. Today, I like to imagine how God must have been grinning when I prayed that prayer. Far too often, we think so small. But when we‘re talking about people‘s eternal salvation, we cannot think big enough.

When I came back from Pakistan with this extraordinary vision, I told it to the people who are most important to me. Everyone was touched by it and encouraged me to move forward.
Some time later he said something to me, which has become so important to me and helped me in situations where doubt and frustration came in. He said:
A few weeks later I met up with Reinhard Bonnke and with my friend Stephan Gängel, who is with me in the G.O.D. team. Reinhard is one of the most influential evangelists in the world, reaching millions of people with the Gospel in Africa. In Nigeria he once organized an event to which 1.6 million people came. Reinhard was totally excited about the G.O.D. vision and offered us his support.
This conversation with Reinhard really encouraged me to move forward.
“This is your calling“
Our impossibilities God‘s possibilities At the start of our ministry, I made a joke by saying that our office is the same size as a room in which a big American ministry stores the toilet paper for their employees. Our possibilities were really limited but God‘s possibilities are unlimited. Now we have a second office in Germany as well as 20 regional offices around the world. Immediately people were willing to work for this vision and to mobilize people in their country. People started telling me that they were praying for something like this to happen for years.

Reinhard Bonnke‘s events in the last 20 years have been visited by 105 million people. His books and brochures have been published in 143 languages with a total circulation of 190 million copies.
The same thing happened in the United States, Mongolia, China, Indonesia and countless other countries. God had prepared everything. Our organizer Gerhard Kehl told me that we‘d need to prepare for at least two years.
But everything happened differently than we‘d expected.

“Global Outreach Day is both a prophetic word to the body of Christ and a catalyst for Christians everywhere to rise up in a new fresh anointing with new strategies and vision for reaching every person with the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. I believe this Global Outreach Day on June 2nd 2012 is just the first. The vision I am presenting to our own mission is that by 2013 we want to be evangelizing on that day in every nation of the world and by the following year in every omega zone of the world which includes 4,000 plus locations.“ Loren Cunningham
God opens doors worldwide I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. Revelation 3:8
Our meeting with Youth With A Mission was a historic occasion. Stephan Gängel and I went to Hawaii to meet Loren Cunningham and some key leaders of YWAM. Loren founded YWAM over 50 years ago. Today, they have bases in every country on the Earth and have 40,000 employees. Although Loren was very ill at the time, it still didn‘t take long until we got to meet with him. A few days later, his secretary called us and told us that he wanted to meet us again, even though he was still sick.
Loren was really excited about the vision. Before the meeting, we had planned to have the first G.O.D. in 2013, but Loren recommended that we start in 2012. This seemed impossible to us, but we really felt God moving in this, so we decided to follow his advice and start in 2012. Back then, we thought it would be a relatively quiet start and that we probably wouldn‘t be able to mobilize millions of Christians. We also met up with Mark Anderson (Call2All) and David Hamilton (an important YWAM Leader) in a restaurant to talk about the vision. This restaurant had been flooded in the tsunami that had hit Japan so badly. And on that evening, it became clear to me that the wave of evangelism starting with the
G.O.D. was more powerful than any tsunami.
I could feel God starting a wave of evangelism. During that conversation, David Hamilton said that they had been preparing the resources for global evangelism. “And then along come two Germans with the idea we‘d been waiting 25 years for!“

Prayer and Evangelism When I was in Cape Town for an evangelistic outreach, I also visited the office of “Global Day of Prayer“. Every year, at Pentecost, they have a global day of prayer and mobilize millions of Christians to pray. In some countries, they even filled soccer stadiums as they came together to pray. They have a prayer network of more than 350 million Christians, and I got to share my vision with them. After the meeting, one of the staff told me that lots of organizations approach them, wanting to use this huge network to promote their own goals. They were used to this and as a rule, they don‘t open up their network to 18 Global Outreach Day

other projects. I didn‘t even know that the network was so big until a few minutes before the meeting. All I knew is that prayer and evangelism belong together. Only a few weeks later, I had a conversation with Graham Power, the man who is responsible for the Global Day of Prayer. I told him the vision of the G.O.D and immediately he asked me to pray about whether the Global Day of Prayer and the Global Outreach Day should work together. Some time later, we sat down with Graham Power and Mark Anderson in Florida and talked about the strategy. Graham said that he never shared his network with any other organization but that he would do it for the first time in order
to work together with the G.O.D. Mark Anderson said that he had also never shared his network with anyone before, but that he would mobilize his network of 1200 mission organizations as well. I felt like a little ant between two giant elephants. But anything is possible when God opens the door. Then we decided on the exact date. The first ever Global Outreach Day would take place on 2nd June 2012. Part of me was frustrated because this was already the 3rd time that we had moved the date. But it made complete sense to me that we would use the Global Day of Prayer to pray for the power of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, and then go out to share the Gospel one week later.
One evening, I was sitting in my hotel room and I was thinking about the biggest church in the world in Lagos, Nigeria. They own a building that is almost a mile long and half a mile wide. I had heard that hundreds of thousands of Christians gather there monthly for a night of prayer and hoped that this could work together with the G.O.D. I just didn´t know when this night was. Some time later I was in Korea at a prayer conference. At dinner, I met a pastor from the RCCG Church in Nigeria, which has this gigantic church building. He told me that the prayer night always takes place on the first Friday of the month, and that around half a million Christians come along. It was like someone had let off fireworks when I heard this news. 2nd June 2012 was a Saturday, so we knew that this prayer night would take place directly before the Global Outreach Day. No human being could think up such perfect timing! It is so amazing and unbelievably fascinating to see how God puts the pieces of the puzzle together. Shortly after that I got to speak to Dr. Yonggi Cho personally.

The Megachurch
The Megachurch
The megachurch Mee ting up with the pastor of the biggest church in the world I had been told that it is absolutely impossible to meet Pastor Adeboye. His church movement, the RCCG, has 30,000 churches in 161 countries. He is the only pastor who has the official status of a diplomat. In the American magazine “Newsweek“, he was listed among the “50 most important people in the world“. The president of Nigeria meets with him to ask for advice. Who am I that I should be able to meet such a man? Just think how hard it is to meet up with the pastor of a church that has “only“ 500 people.
In October 2011, I was at a conference in Indonesia. While I was there, I couldn‘t stop thinking about how Pastor Adeboye was in London right now and that I might be able to meet him there. I had no idea why God had chosen me for this vision. There are so many people who are more talented or have more resources than I do. But I have one great strength: I am like a pit-bull. Once I bite into something, I won´t let go! So we managed to change our plans and flights within a very short time. On the flight to London I was really nervous and couldn´t sleep at all. Hundreds of thousands of people praying in the night before the G.O.D. - I found this idea absolutely fascinating. But even more than this, I was excited about the idea of sending this number of people into the city on the next day to evangelize.
The evening event “Festival of Life“ lasted until 5 in the morning. I was sitting on the stage with some other pastors, and this was my second night in a row without sleep. I didn‘t get to see him until after the meeting, and even though I was really tired, I was totally on fire. Then came the big moment. I met Pastor Adeboye and told him about the vision for the Global Outreach Day. He said that he would pray about it. Obviously I had hoped for more. So I told him that I would come to Lagos for his big conference in December. His answer to that excited me: “Come and then we will finalize things“. He didn´t say that we would talk about it some more, but that we would finalize the plans. A couple of weeks later Stephan Gängel and I flew to the conference in Nigeria. What we saw there surpassed everything that we had ever imagined.
The building is just unbelievable. Once we walked from one end to the other and it took us 20 minutes. In the first conversation with Adeboye I told him that we had organized a really famous speaker for 2nd June and that a large Christian TV channel would broadcast it live. But when I was in Nigeria, both the speaker and the TV channel cancelled on us. That didn‘t bode well for the conversation I was about to have with Adeboye. But I still had a sense of confidence, as Reinhard Bonnke‘s words kept coming back to me: “This is your calling.“ We stayed on the church‘s territory for a week. For one entire week, we waited for the conversation that would probably only last for 5 minutes. More than 40,000 Christians live in the church‘s grounds. It´s the only place in the world where you can´t evangelize. Waiting, waiting, waiting for this one short meeting. We were supposed to meet Pastor Adeboye on Wednesday. Before this, I was reading a daily devotional for the day and it said “Say yes to G.O.D.!“ I had to smile when I read this...
But my smile faded when we didn´t actually get to meet him. On Thursday, a pastor came up to us and told me that it wouldn‘t be possible to talk to Adeboye anymore. I was really disappointed. We flew to Nigeria, waited for days, and now they tell us it was all for nothing? But we didn´t give up and talked to an influential pastor from the RCCG Movement in the hope that he could help us. My mood was beginning to get worse by then. Right at that moment, someone came and told us that Adeboye was waiting for us right now. Excited, we walked in, but I was still nervous about the bad news from the famous speaker and the TV channel. In the meeting, Adeboye didn‘t mention either of them. He was interested in something else. He told us that he had prayed about it and not only did he want to participate with his church in Lagos, but he also wanted to mobilize all of the 30,000 RCCG churches around the world. 5 minutes earlier, my mood was somewhat subdued, but now I felt like jumping for joy. It also reminded me that this whole thing is not about
getting a famous speaker, but about individual people in different churches getting involved. Only a few months later, he invited me to speak to 10,000 pastors at his pastors‘ conference. He came on stage and I was really surprised that the first thing he did was to talk about the Global Outreach Day and introduce me. After that, they took me to their TV studio and made a promotional clip for the G.O.D. We had now spoken to him a few times, and in our fourth conversation he invited us to speak at the Holy Ghost Service on 1st June in front of 500,000 people. He then also told me that this day was only the beginning and the Global Outreach Day would become an annual event.

Around the world In the year before the Global Outreach Day, I visited every continent and was constantly flying around the world. After spending 2 weeks in Argentina, I came home to Berlin for one day and then flew on to Moscow. When I was there, I got to know lots of key leaders and was able to convince them to take part. From there, I continued on to South Korea. In August I flew to Brazil, without knowing anybody there. I was in Sao Paulo and Rio but not much happened. It was the same thing in Hong Kong, where I had hoped to meet leaders for 3 days. It was very difficult but again and again, I experienced how God kept opening doors.
In Jerusalem I met important leaders from around the world at a conference. Marcio Valadao was there from Brazil, as well as others from Brazil and China. Marcio has one of the biggest churches there and his daughter Ana Paula is a wellknown worship leader. Her worship events are attended by up to a million people. Marcio Valadao was totally excited and said that the Global Outreach Day is like the Soccer World Cup - everyone needs to be part of it. If a Brazilian starts talking about the World Cup, it is almost like the second coming of the Lord. Straight away, he invited me to preach in his church and introduce the vision.

In the right place at the right time I also met someone in Jerusalem who wanted to mobilize the Christians in China and be our partner there. A few months later I was in China, where our office had organized a meeting. 35 Pastors and leaders from all over China came to find out more. Some travelled more than 2000 kilometers to get there. Although the first time in China had been rather difficult, this time round it was great. One leader told me that he has a network of half a million people and would share the vision with all of them. At the end of the meeting, I asked our local contact if he thought we could mobilize a million Christians, and was surprised by his answer: “If we only manage to get one million, we would have done a bad job!“ On Sunday I got to preach in a large church. At the end of the service, someone came and told me that the police were there. At first I didn´t realize the seriousness of the situation so I went ahead and gave an invitation for people to give their lives to Christ. I was then escorted out of the room and up to the 17th floor. To be honest, I was more afraid on the way up because of my fear of heights than I was of the state security.
I was led into a room in which four men were waiting for me. The atmosphere was really tense and I got told right at the beginning that I wasn‘t allowed to preach in China. You can end up in prison if you preach the Gospel, and they even have special prisons for people from the West. In hindsight, I wonder what exactly they have in these “special“ Western prisons? Maybe I‘d be able to play Wii and order a pizza while behind bars... But the situation wasn‘t funny at all. The four men were smoking and talking very seriously. Of course it was all in Chinese, and I only had parts of their conversation translated for me. All I could think about was that I didn´t have time to go to prison because I had a flight booked to Africa for the next week. But to my relief, they let me go after an hour. Jesus never promised us that everything would work out fine all the time and that we would never have any problems. But he did promise to be with us. I was able to experience this in so many situations.
When we were at the call2all conference in Los Angeles, we got to speak to many key leaders. While reading through the event brochure, we found out that Dave Hannah was going to be there. Dave had previously raised 1 billion Dollars for “Campus for Christ“. We are good with mobilizing people, but when it comes to fundraising we don‘t have much experience. So obviously we wanted to talk to Dave. While we were waiting for Loren Cunningham, all of a sudden he was standing right behind us and we got to tell him about the G.O.D. He was totally excited about it and then joined us in our conversation with Loren. This meeting turned out to be another one of those historic moments that gave me goose bumps. Dave said to Loren that he should involve all the YWAM bases, because on a day like this, everybody should be participating. He also told us that he wants to get Global Media Outreach to join. GMO is the world‘s biggest online evangelistic ministry. Every day they reach 300,000 people over the Internet. Only a few weeks later, Dave called me to let me know that GMO was on board and wanted to reach 15 million people on the G.O.D. and
in the two weeks prior to it. Again and again I experienced that I was in the right place at the right time. We can choose to let the time slip away, or to be involved in God‘s rescue plan. When writing to the Ephesians, Paul said that God had prepared good works for them in advance, but they still had to act and actually do these good works. So instead of waiting for something to happen around us, we should continually walk in obedience to God‘s prepared works. Many Christians are waiting for something really special, and so many prophecies about great revivals have been given. Many people were then disappointed because they had been waiting for a long time but no revival had taken place. I know of a church that received a prophecy about a revival coming to them on a specific date. They were really excited about it and the whole church waited with great anticipation. Finally, the day came and everyone gathered together. But nothing happened. Because nothing will ever happen if all we do is wait. When God calls us to do something, we need to start today! TODAY is the day of salvation! Jesus called us the light of the world and he wants every Christian to win people for Him. So why do we end up just having big meetings with lots of lamps in a lamp shop? Our light needs to shine in the darkness. That‘s why we go to New Age fairs, rock festivals and brothels.
Meeting with Loren Cunningham
Loren Cunningham (born in 1936 in Taft, California) is the founder of the international Christian organization Youth With A Mission. He is also the founder and President of the University of the Nations (U of N), a pastor and an author. God‘s VIP's Pierce Brosnan 007
God isn‘t so much interested in statistics as in individual people. This is why we don´t count numbers; we count people. Because every person counts! Every single human being on the planet is important - so important, in fact, that God gave His Son for them.
Rick Warren
In Los Angeles I met Matthew Barnet, Pastor of the L.A. Dreamcenter. He said he will participate in the G.O.D. as well. After that I drove to
Saddleback Church where I met with Rick Warren. In the afternoon I had some free time so I took a walk down Malibu Beach. By chance, I happened to meet Pierce Brosnan there and started talking to him. In the evening I got to give an evangelistic brochure to La Toya Jackson in Hollywood. One week later we were back in Germany to share the Gospel. We had an Open Air event and I spoke to Mike, a homeless alcoholic.
Right at the start, he screamed at me: “I am worth nothing in this society.“ Then I told him how important he is to God and prayed with him that Jesus would come into his life. After that I led an unemployed woman and a blind woman to Jesus. I was thrilled and posted on Facebook that I had met VIPs a week ago. I met people that matter in this world. Then a few days later I met people who don´t matter in this world but are VIPs to God. For God, every person counts.
This is what the Global Outreach Day is all about. It‘s not about numbers or statistics but about people. Because people matter.
For God, every person is a VIP!
“I am worth nothing in this society.“

Prayer for the global outreach day Global Day of Prayer on 27th May 2012 At Pentecost millions of Christians around the world were praying. In Mexico alone, they estimated 5 million people in different cities. The partnership with Global Day of Prayer is something that God really prepared for us. On the day of Pentecost the disciples prayed and they received the Holy Spirit. After that 3000 people gave their lives to Christ and changed the world. In the same way, we were now praying with people around the globe for the power of the Holy Spirit. After this, what would make more sense than a Global Outreach? It was clear to see how the Global Outreach Day was covered by a canopy of prayer. In Africa (which 28 Global Outreach Day 28 Global Outreach Day
Media/GOD TV you can read about on the following pages) we prayed for God‘s blessing on the beginning of the G.O.D. Then China joined in the prayer for the G.O.D. This is where the biggest revival of our time is currently happening.
A vision for 2nd June by Susi Wespi: While praying for the Global Outreach Day God showed me what is happening in the spiritual world. Early in the morning I saw the Earth from above. In the east of Asia I saw a burning fire of the Holy Spirit. It spread out like a forest fire towards the West. This fire burned across the whole world until the evening. I saw that it was the fire of the revelation of Jesus Christ, God‘s Son.
Everyone who came into contact with Christians received the fire of this revelation. Some gave their lives to Jesus; others heard the message and carried on living in the natural. But I saw that the message was still burning in their hearts and will continue to burn there, even though they haven‘t yet come to the realization that Jesus is God‘s Son. And I heard a voice that cried out: “All of these people are part of the harvest. I will give them this revelation and they will know who I truly am. They will give their lives to me and I will be their God.“
TV Studio RCCG
The media had an important role to play in the preparation as well. During the World Prayer Assembly we made a TV production about the Global Outreach Day for GOD TV. They showed our clip and Graham Power interviewed me in front of the beautiful background of the soccer stadium in Jakarta. The RCCG‘s own TV station in Nigeria reaches almost the whole of Africa, and we recorded a promotional video in their studio. Even the Russian channel CNL advertized the G.O.D. America‘s biggest Christian magazine, charisma, offered to report about the G.O.D. before it took place and the German version of charisma had several articles about it as well. Our office in Brazil produced two amazing articles and because of that we could use YouTube and Facebook as well.

The Opening
The Opening
2nd June really was a day of salvation around the world.
The Opening in Nigeria
Global Outreach Day in Nigeria
500,000 Christians in Lagos
More than 500,000 Christians came on 1st June to the Holy Ghost Service. It was just an indescribable feeling to pray with that many believers in the biggest church building in the world. This was an amazing opening for the Global Outreach Day.
At 10pm the Global Outreach Day started in Samoa. I was allowed to preach at this time. Then we prayed for the opening in Samoa and for a worldwide breakthrough. This was broadcast live on TV almost everywhere in Africa, and more than 1 million viewers joined in on the internet. The atmosphere was unique and full of energy. At the end of the prayer time I challenged the 500,000 Christians to evangelize in Lagos and the area around it, and we prayed that God would give them strength to do this. Every one of them received a tract to reach someone with the Gospel. In total, we gave away 2.5 million booklets on that day. The Holy Ghost Service in Lagos, Nigeria was the official start of the Global Outreach Day (G.O.D.). Everybody here was talking about the Global Outreach Day: it was in all the newspapers,
on commercial banners and on the internet. So I felt the excitement and the great expectation in the 1.6 kilometer-long church hall as soon as I started talking about the first day of global evangelism.. When Samoa started with the first outreach of the G.O.D., we were praying with about 500,000 people in Africa for this day. Then the wave of evangelism went around the world. It was shortly after midnight in Nigeria when I made an altar call and about 1000 people gave their lives to Christ. 2nd June really was a day of salvation around the world. It reminds me of the words of St. John at the end of his Gospel that if you were to write down all the testimonies, the world could not contain the books that would be written. There were also many people on the streets in countries which we are not allowed to report about such as Morocco, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Libya and many more. We will probably only hear most of these stories when we are in Eternity. But we‘d like to share some of them with you right now.

Salomon Islands
Samoa is the place in the world where the new day begins and so obviously the G.O.D started here as well.
The Salomon Islands are made up of nearly 50% Christians. The goal of the church was to reach the rest of the people there.
At this time, they were celebrating 50 years of independence and the entire island came together at Apia. Our organizer Gerhard Kehl was there with a small team from YWAM to share the good news of God‘s love. The Samoan dancers were especially popular and got the crowd really excited. There was great interest in our tract “The greatest story“, which we were giving away. While we were still praying in Nigeria the first young Samoan man came forward and gave his life to Christ.
Australia In Australia the president of the Pentecostal churches mobilized churches all over the country. A team was having their outreach on the sunshine coast and led more people to Jesus on that one day than they had in the entire year so far. One of the participants was so on fire that in the following days 5 more people gave their lives to Christ through him. On an airplane a woman got to lead the person sitting next to her to Jesus.
Indonesia Here, the Christians were mainly mobilized via Facebook and twitter, and
this helped motivate many young Christians to reach out. A well-known worship leader (with 2 million Facebook friends) and a well-known actor advertized this day, posting and tweeting about it. Many people invited friends over to dinner or helped them practically, using the opportunity to tell them about Jesus.
Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia The regional leader of YWAM was in these countries with many other Christians. In Myanmar alone, more than 80 churches were active. An interview was broadcast on TV although as a rule, they never show anything Christian. Even though it was raining heavily, many groups were reaching out and gave away around 10,000 tracts.
YWAM dance team
China Philippines Here we worked with Jesus Revolution, YWAM and other churches. They walked from house to house or invited people over for meals. They had an open air evangelistic event in a mountain town. Many people gave their lives to Jesus; among them a young man whose family was just about to fall apart.
We can´t tell you too much about China for obvious reasons. What we can tell you, though, is that more than 1 million Christians were reaching out in parks, nursing homes and in their neighborhoods.

A day after the prayer her mother called us totally excited and reported that her daughter is conscious again. Shortly after that she could leave the hospital. The doctors were speechless.
During the preparation for the G.O.D. the minister of defense made a decision to follow Jesus. He ordered that soldiers set up tents in cities and small towns where the Gospel could be preached. In the capital Ulan Bator, 2500 Christians met for a large event. Among them was a criminal who is wellknown in the entire country for cheating the President out of 300,000 dollars. He was in jail for 15 years and he gave his life to Christ while behind bars. Because the rain was pouring they couldn‘t carry out their big event and instead met in small groups, going into shopping malls, hospitals, prisons and poor districts. Here the people were so surprised that someone would come and help them and care about them that 99% of them opened up for God and gave their lives to Christ. Since there are many mountain villages where you can´t go by car, 150 horseback riders went there in teams and evangelized.
A man who had given his life to Christ was so overwhelmed that he gave parts of his house to the church which didn´t have a building to meet in until then. On one day, this church grew from 28 to 113 people.

Bangladesh, Nepal In Nepal alone, 180 churches were active.
India Two big church movements participated. One reached out with a group of 200,000 people and the other with 3500 churches in 1500 towns. They reported that a new fire has been lit among the Christians just like in the beginning. Especially in the North of the country, many people were reached. A Christian from India sold his land, bought 13,000 New Testaments and gave them away.

Tens of thousands of Christians evangelized in schools and universities, invited Muslim friends over for dinner, and organized meetings and open air events. Drug addicts were reached, threw away their drugs and accepted Jesus as their Savior. Muslims everywhere were asking what Christianity is all about because they had never experienced Christians being so keen and united. Churches reported that the G.O.D. gave them a new fire for evangelism. Young people even went into police stations and drove around in cars with loudspeakers. Some pastors said that they‘d like to see a G.O.D every month.
A team from JEWS FOR JESUS was active in Tel Aviv and shared the Gospel.
Here the Good News was shared from Moscow to Siberia. All of the big Pentecostal and charismatic movements were active with more than 3000 churches. In Pskov a church reached 700 children and their parents. With games, theater and other activities they were able to share the Gospel in a creative way. More than 100 Eskimos went out on sleds or by foot to reach people with the Gospel.

One of our organizers from the Netherlands is a former boss in the red light district in Amsterdam. He sold hard drugs there, even to Mick Jigger and other stars, and also to the prostitutes. Then he became a drug addict himself for 10 years and didn´t see any way out of it. When he heard of Jesus he became free of drugs immediately and has been clean ever since. More than 1000 Christians evangelized near the red light district. When the organizer gave his testimony many people decided to follow Christ. Pastors reported that the G.O.D. brought great unity to the churches in Holland.

In many places Christians gathered to hand out tracts and to talk and pray with people. In ZĂźrich around 200 people walked across the city praying and singing and could talk to several thousand people about God. 120 Christians organized a flash mob and afterwards expe-
rienced several healings. A woman in Winterthur who was virtually blind could see clearly again after prayer. 9 people (among them 1 child) were evangelizing for one hour in in Downtown Langenthal and led 21 people to Jesus.
Belgium In Brussels a small team walked through the city and talked to people about their views on church and about their relationship with God. An immigrant came begging for money but instead he received the good news of Jesus and the team prayed for him.. After the prayer his eyes, which had previously been empty and hopeless, were shining and full of joy. He said he wants to read the Gospel to really understand it.
In Budapest, an evangelistic event took place with Franklin Graham and 10,000 Christians. The organizers decided that all participants should go into the city to evangelize and 2700 people made a decision for Christ on that day.

Outreaches took place in front of supermarkets, in the city center and even across the border into Poland. At night they also went into clubs to share the Gospel. They were able to pray for people and have many good conversations. In Zittau they invited asylum-seekers (almost all of them
Muslims) to worship, prayer and fellowship.
Darmstadt A number of Christians were active here, using music, theater, sermons and a soccer goal wall to help them start conversations. They got to pray for people and talk to a group of Salafists.
Berlin Several activities took place in Berlin. One big event was with an illusionist from the United States and 650 people came, among them many unbelievers. After a Hip-Hop event, one man gave his life to Christ. The European Initiative organized an event together with Gateway Church from Southlake (Texas), completely filling a club with 650 people. 37 people gave their lives to Christ.
Karlsruhe While praying before the outreach, some of the participants received very clear directions from God on where to go and who they should talk to. When they arrived, they found everything like God had said and were able to share the Gospel with those people. They also got to encourage other Christians during this day.
Frankfurt As far as we know, Frankfurt put on at least 11 different evangelistic events. Various street outreaches,
outreaches in retirement homes and hospitals, a children‘s event and an evangelistic movie night. A special team also went into the red-light district and the drug scene. One of the teams was the 2goteam Frankfurt. Around 50 Christians gave their testimony on the main shopping street and got to pray for many people. They used dramas, music, theater and dance to make it easier to talk to people. One person had committed a serious crime a few years previously, and he was in tears when he received forgiveness. Others saw a supernatural light and felt the power of God while being prayed for. At least 6 people gave their lives to Christ during this outreach. Even a taxi driver made the decision while one of the team was on their way home. The team in the red-light district experienced something amazing: A drug dealer experienced the power of God after having been very hostile towards us, and a person who had been beaten up by people from the drug scene shortly before we met him was healed from all his pain while we prayed for him.
Lüdenscheid Here, they were also able to share the Gospel in a creative way. They put on a kids‘ party and talent show in the center of Lüdenscheid for the whole afternoon. Children, teenagers and adults heard the Gospel, some of them for the first time. People came
and went throughout the course of the day, having great conversations and receiving prayer. Some of them were deeply moved by the message of the cross but no one dared to stand up and come forward. Fortunately, people from the FCJG church were spread out all across the area, and so were able to approach the people and talk to them. Some of them admitted that they were even waiting until someone would come up and start a conversation with them. For some of them, 2nd June 2012 became the start of a new life with Jesus.
Dortmund People walking along in the city were struck by a poster that said “Healing, Prophecy, Prayer“. An older man who had had problems with his left ear was healed on the spot. Some people really opened up to our team, some even cried. They were healed on the inside.

The first reports had just come in from Samoa when we headed out with 9 buses. Some people went to a beach in Lagos where many poor people, drug-addicts and prostitutes live, handing out food, offering medical help and sharing the Gospel. Teams went to the people who live in wooden boxes or cardboard boxes and many made a decision to follow Jesus. We built a stage and set up tents right in the middle of thousands of homeless people and refugees, and were able to share the Gospel. here. Although it was raining, the outreach carried on as normal. The Africans danced in the rain, served the poor and you could feel how the atmosphere was filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit. On the next day, the church put on an event in a soccer stadium and handed out food to 100,000 poor people. When Pastor Adeboye came on the stage, he reported how he had used the G.O.D. He phoned an old friend who became a communist 30 years ago and hadn‘t seen him since then. He talked to him about Jesus. Furthermore, his housekeeper went to a small town on 2nd June. When she came back she reported that 20 people there had decided to follow Jesus.

It used to be a farm, but is now called “Pink Paradise“ due to the large number of pink apartment blocks and flats. First they went around and tidied up some of the most disgusting things you could imagine. They had to be very careful not to touch any needles. After that they went from door to door and offered prayer. At the end of the outreach, they put on an open air event at one of main central areas, reaching people through dance and theater and explaining the Gospel to them. Around 1 million people evangelized in all of Brazil‘s 26 States. It started at midnight on Facebook. Masses of people posted the message “Jesus loves you“ as their status, meaning that all of their friends would see the message. At the same time, banners with the same message were hung up in front of nightclubs. In the morning, a group talked to 700 people about Jesus. Thousands went into the Favelas, the ghettos, helping them with practical things and preaching the Gospel at the same time. All over the country, there were flash mobs, dances, concerts, drum sessions, pizza meetings, free hugs, prayer offerings, book giveaways, blood donations, free BBQs, free soap, free water, free carwashes, jugglers and a theater in front of 3000 children. Big banners that said “Jesus misses you“ and “Jesus loves you“ were hung up. In the most criminal part of the city they put on an evangelistic event. Every place you could imagine was turned into an evangelistic outreach opportunity: Supermarkets, shopping malls, parks, taxis, buses and trains, at the hairdresser. Some people even used Skype to reach out and share the Gospel. There were church services on the
streets and they were able to preach to a very influential mayor. Meeting places for drug addicts and prostitutes were invaded by the love of Jesus. Addictions were broken through prayer, and great numbers of people gave their lives to Christ all over the country. A man was just about to commit suicide but accepted Jesus just before it was too late. In all the places we know of, the rain stopped just when their outreaches started. It had rained for 14 days non-stop and was really cold. But on this day it was warm and sunny with a bright blue sky - on the next day the weather was bad again. The churches were united through the G.O.D. and pastors talked about revivals everywhere.

In the United States many churches in more than 100 cities were active. By chance, we met Christians from Saddleback Church (pastored by Rick Warren), who knew about the G.O.D and told us that they would be part of it. The L.A. Dreamcenter was one of our partners in L.A. Che Ahn joined in as well. He has a network of 10,000 churches and even though he only found out about the G.O.D. quite late, he was still able to mobilize his entire network at short notice. In his mail to us he wrote the following: “I see the Global Outreach Day as an historic opportunity for the body of Christ; and I trust the Lord that on this day millions will be reached with the Gospel“.
In this communist country, a church with 2000 Christians was active in sharing the Gospel.
Our organizer in the United States is Joe Oden, an evangelist who has worked with Steve Hill. Only a couple of days earlier, his wife almost died in hospital and it is a miracle that she is still alive today. Bill Wilson‘s Metro Ministries was also involved in the G.O.D. In New York alone, they reached out to 3200 children. Many children were reached in other countries as well: Philippines (20,000), Kenya (20,000), India (3000), South Africa (2500) and Romania (2000).
We‘ve received reports from all around the world that the G.O.D. didn‘t only result in people giving their lives to Christ and being healed; it also brought a great unity between churches and leaders, and gave many Christians a new fire to reach people with God‘s love. Lots of Christians went out for the first time and want to continue now.

The Global Outreach Day continues 25 May 2013
Invest in Eternity The biggest investments we make aren‘t in stocks, properties or savings accounts. We invest in eternity. There is nothing more important than rescuing people. Jesus said that whoever believes in him has eternal live. But in the same way that there is an eternity with God, there is also an eternity that is separated from Him.
Together we can reach the world We need to work together if we are going to reach this world. In order for this day to take place, where millions of people will hear the Gospel and many people receive practical help, we need partners that stand with us and support us.
46 Global Outreach Day 46 Global Outreach Day
At the first G.O.D., we gave away 1.25 million evangelistic tracts and reached more than 20 million people with the Gospel. Our goal for 2013 is to mobilize and train up millions of Christians to share the Gospel effectively. Help us to realize this great vision!

The vision of the G.O.D. is really simple. You don‘t need money, you don‘t need a big stadium or big event locations. It‘s not about getting in a great preacher, but about mobilizing the whole church. Every Christian can reach at least one person with the Gospel on this day. For many, the very fact that millions of others are doing it at the same time can be a real motivator. Here are some ideas on how you can get involved.
1) Personal evangelismOne on One Every single Christian can easily reach one to two people and have at least one longer conversation about the Gospel! Invite someone over for a meal, a coffee, some ice cream or even watch
a movie together and then steer the conversation over to the Gospel and maybe even a prayer. Make sure you pray for them in the weeks leading up to the Global Outreach Day.
• Feed the poor
2) 2 by 2
• Help people with grocery shopping or transport. Offer help about the house or in the garden, wash cars and find new things to help with
Meet up with another Christian or split your church into teams of two. Go out into public places, knock on people‘s doors, visit people in hospitals, orphanages, retirement homes and prisons. Or maybe you can reach out to drug addicts, homeless people and others in need of help.
3) Care and share As a church, small group or even just a group of friends, you can help people in your neighborhood very practically. The possibilities are endless.
• Visit the sick, the lonely and the orphans - and pray for them • Help single mums with the house work
You can then explain to them why you are helping and tell them the good news of Jesus Christ. Ask if you can pray for them while you are there.
4) Big events You can also organize a street outreach in a public place if this is possible where you live.
These numbers are based on average values from the Global Outreach Day 2012.
47 Global Outreach Day 47
This year, the first ever Global Outreach Day (G.O.D.) took place. Over 8 million Christians preached the good news of Jesus Christ across the whole world. There were no famous preachers, but ordinary Christians from ordinary churches went out on to the streets, into hospitals, schools and universities, into red light districts and to the poor people living in slums. The G.O.D. was a day of salvation for the whole world.
