This peak is the highest mountain in the Coastal Range at 4,097 feet. Take in the panoramic views of the Willamette Valley and the Cascade Range mountains from the summit and see one of the rare alpine meadows in the Coastal Range.

One of Oregon’s newest scenic and historic byways is the Marys Peak to Pacific Scenic Byway, which winds through the hills about seventy-two miles from Corvallis to Waldport. Meander up to the highest point in the Coast Range and then down to the breezy coastal town of Waldport. With so many options for pit stops on the drive, no two trips along the byway are quite the same. Here are some suggestions for fun stops on the way.
