In last month’s publication, we discussed about Czech Republic inching closer to embracing iGaming when the nation’s Senate voted 42-0 in favor of the proposed new gambling bill. If passed into law, the nation will grant online gambling licenses from international operators from the European Union and the European Economic Area. • Poland 波兰 Efforts to regulate iGaming in Poland were made recently. Jaroslaw Gowin, the Deputy Prime Minister and also the Minister of Science and Higher Education, came up with a proposal to legalize and regulate online poker in the country. Currently, Internet poker, as well as tournaments held in the privacy of homes, are strictly not allowed, with violators being subjected to heavy fines and even imprisonment. Responsible for invoking liquidity sharing for online poker, it gives authority to secure partnership agreements with other members within the European Union (EU) and other jurisdictions within the European Economic Area (EEA). • Greece 希腊 Changes in taxes, especially with respect to gaming regulations, often create controversy.
