NARANJA PARK EXPANSION PROJECT
Access more Oro Valley news, events and activities at our website: www.orovalleyaz.gov
With the wet weather Oro Valley saw this winter, the hydroseed at Naranja Park soaked up the moisture, resulting in a wonderful hillside of poppies! Meantime, the irrigation installation for Fields 5 and 6 is nearing competition. The contractor will be installing sprigs (small grass stems) in May so that the Bermuda Grass can begin to grow. We anticipate the fields opening in November. As part of the irrigation project, a “smart” water meter will be installed, which will allow for balancing the loads on the reclaimed system—a much-needed feature when Fields 5 and 6 are completed and open for play! With the warmer weather, this is a friendly reminder for those who visit Naranja Park that construction fencing and signage have been placed for your safety. Please do not enter construction areas.
