Blir 20-talet lika glatt som det förra?

Det är ett nytt decennium. 20-talet står och stampar för att komma in. Men kommer detta 20-tal bli precis lika glatt som det förra? Och vad var egentligen det bästa som hände under 10-talet? Många av oss studenter började på KTh och började ta våra första stapplande steg in i vuxenlivet under det gångna decenniet. OL-redaktionen var nyfiken på vilka förhoppningar KTH:s studenter har om det kommande decenniet men också vad som var det bästa som hände dem själva under 10-talet. Vi gick ut på gatan/Nymble för att få svar på våra frågor.

1. Vilket program läser du? 2. Vilket år? 3. Vad har du för tankar om det nya decenniet? 4. Vad var det bästa som hände dig förra decenniet? 5. Början av 2020 har varit ganska dyster när det gäller nyhetsrapportering, har du några förhoppningar för året.

1. Jag läser Datateknik.

2. Jag läser mitt andra år.

3. Jag hoppas det blir bättre. Det har börjat dåligt men jag hoppas att det slutar bra.

4. Jag tog tag i mitt liv, började läsa in en massa saker på Komvux, och sedan började jag på KTH. Det var det bästa med det nya decenniet.

5. Jo, jag har hopp för 2020. Allt kan inte bli dåligt, sannolikt kan det inte bli det.

1. I study sustainable energy engineering.

2. This is my first year of my master studies. 3. I hope everything will be smooth in the next decade. I hope I settle down by the end of the next decade. I want to save money and start my family, maybe get a dog.

4. Moving to Stockholm was a big decision for me. This is my first time studying abroad and it’s a big change for me. It’s super cool!

5. When I see the news about the forest fires in Australia I get really sad. I study sustainability now and hopefully if I do my best I can use my knowledge in order to make the world more sustainable.

Adrien

1. I’m from France and study electromagnetism, fusion and space engineering. More precisely I’m a double degree student.

2. This is the second year of my master.

3. We need to reduce the emissions into the atmosphere. This is very important and I hope that our leaders really push for that. We can see that there is a motivation in the population, everybody is willing to do something but we need to help each other in order to take action.

4. In France we have something that’s called preparatory school. It’s two years of very intensive studying, and at the end you have final exams that everybody takes. You need to get great results in order to get accepted to a good university. I was very pleased with my score on the exam and felt that the two challenging years of school really paid off.

5. In 2020 the Olympic Games will be held in Japan. I’m excited and think that the Olympics can join everybody together and create links between countries. The games will make people share feelings and create happiness.

1. Jag läser Medieteknik

2. Andra året.

3. Nej det har jag inte. Jag tror det kommer vara likt det förra decenniet.

4. Oj, stor fråga. Men jag känner nog att jag hittade rätt program att studera. Det var nästa kliv i livet att börja plugga och det har jag gjort nu.

5. Jag hoppas på ett presidentval i USA som slutar med att Bernie Sanders blir president. Men sen vet jag inte riktigt. Det är svårt att svara på. Juste, jag hoppas få ett jobb under året som är kopplat till min utbildning.

1. I’m in the master program media management, and I’m from Germany.

2. I’m on my first year of the master. 3. I had a course here on sustainability and now when I’m in the land of Greta Thunberg I'm a little bit excited and a little bit afraid of what will happen in the next decade. Many people are speaking up and saying that something needs to be done about the environment, but don’t consider that they themselves must do something for the environment. I’m excited about what can be done to stop climate change and hopefully I will survive the next decade, haha.

4. Perhaps this is a little bit romantic, but I met my girlfriend and she’s with me here in Sweden. We met during our bachelors and we applied for the same master. The last decade was very cool.

5. I think globalism is such a nice thing and it’s great that I can study here in Sweden. There is a very toxic environment on Facebook right now and even though I study media management I would like to avoid using or delete the app but need it to communicate with my groups and be part of the media business. There’s a lot of hate on social media platforms and you can’t discuss news or climate change objectively. People aren’t open to listen to each other. I hope that in 2020 this will change and become better.
