The Strategic Communication: Entertainment Media option – offered exclusively at OSU-Tulsa – is designed for students who desire a career in public relations, advertising, brand management or related strategic roles in the entertainment media industry. OSU’s Strategic Communication major blends an integrated curriculum to teach you how to tell great stories to attract target audiences. You’ll learn how to work with the media across multiple platforms, and how to write, record and publish effectively. You will receive hands-on experience in researching, writing, designing and publishing digital and print advertisements, communication plans and strategic campaigns. You will build a professional digital portfolio that showcases your talent and skills and helps you stand out when seeking career opportunities. The exclusive Entertainment Media option builds on Strategic Communication major requirements and makes the most of OSU-Tulsa’s urban setting by providing students with networking opportunities, internships, guest speakers and industry tours in the Tulsa area. DEGREE REQUIREMENTS • At least 40 hours must be upper-division. • Minimum 2.50 GPA in all MC-MMJ-SC-SPM prefix courses and all grades must be a C or higher. • At least: 60 hours at a four-year institution; 30 hours completed at OSU; 15 of the final 30 or 50% of the upper-division hours in the major field completed at OSU.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST? OSU is one of the best values in the Big 12 and has lower tuition and fees than many Tulsaarea schools and online-only institutions. Students taking 15 credit hours (full time) will pay approximately $6,636 per semester in tuition and fees and an estimated $630 for books and supplies. (Estimates based on 2021-2022 tuition and fee charges. Books and supplies will vary based on classes taken each semester.) OSU-Tulsa offers financial aid, scholarships and tuition waivers, with several dedicated specifically to transfer students.
