notes from the SUPERVISOR’S OFFICE 5209 Western Ave, Guilderland • (518) 356-1980 • www.townofguilderland.org

Guilderland, NY- The change of seasons is upon us, although, thank goodness, not the way it has been upon our neighbors in Western New York, With winter weather arriving and the holiday season approaching, it’s all too easy to become distracted out on the road. I would like to give everyone a reminder that this is a time of year to be particularly cautious when driving or walking around here in Guilderland. Safety is a responsibility that is shared by all of us. One of the reasons it is so easy to get distracted at this time of year is the extremely large number of events and activities that folks here in Guilderland have available to them during the holiday season. I certainly am not going to try to list everything here, but I will mention that you can find notices about a range of Guilderland activities on our Town website, www. townofguilderland.org, as well as in various local media outlets such as Our Towne Guilderland. With all the things that will be going on in our very own community this season, I hope that your activity planning has some room in it for our own town. I encourage everyone to remember that Guilderland’s parks have plenty of cold-weather recreational opportunities available for our residents. If you are a dog owner, try bringing your pet out to the dog park at Nott Road Park for an off-leash romp.. Try a hike, with or without a four-legged friend, on the trail network in Tawasentha Park. When there is snow on the ground, that network will be available for snowshoeing or ungroomed-trail cross country skiing. Groomed trails are available in snowy weather at Western Turnpike Golf Course. You can reach our Parks and Recreation Department office at 456-3150 for information on activities available at any given time. Speaking of Western Turnpike, some of our local golfers will appreciate the fact that early-bird discounts for 2015 season memberships are available during December. Significant discounts off regular rates are available on both resident and non-resident memberships until December 31. 4

December 2014

OurTowneGUILDERLAND.com

Contact the Parks Office at 456-3150 for more information. Western Turnpike gift certificates in any amount will also be available at the Parks Office. The renovation of the historic Gothic Revival Schoolcraft House at 2299 Western Avenue is a long-term Guilderland project that is getting closer to completion. The Friends of the Schoolcraft Cultural Center will celebrate this progress, and the holiday season, with an open house from 1:00-4:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 13. The event will feature refreshments, tours of the house, which will be decorated for the holidays, and a performance by renowned chamber music ensemble Musicians of Ma’alwyck. The holiday season is also a time to think of those around us who are in need of one sort or another. We continue to see signs of slow improvement in the economy at the regional, state, and national levels, but that progress has been uneven, and many continue to be left behind. Our community has shown itself consistently over time to be a place where folks care about others. This is a time of year for the generosity to show itself by participation in one or more of the seasonal programs that are available to us. I encourage you to be aware of these opportunities, and to participate in them in a manner that you find appropriate in your own unique personal situation. Guilderland is a community that is home to people from a wide range of places and cultural traditions. Whatever way you may choose to celebrate the holiday season in your own household, I want to take this opportunity, on behalf of all of Guilderland’s elected officials and Town employees, to express to all our residents sincere best wishes for a safe and enjoyable holiday season, and for a New Year in 2015 that will offer an abundance of health and happiness for all. Ken Runion, Supervisor

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

2050 Western Ave, Suite 201, Guilderland, NY 12084 (518) 456-6611 • www.guilderlandchamber.com

Are you Guilderlocal? Around town you may be noticing the bright Green signs in some local shops saying “We Are Guilderlocal!” This is not just another Shop local campaign. This is us, as a business and community organization trying to rally everyone to use your local vendors and help build us up as a community. Times have been tough on local businesses the last few years and we want to make it a point to draw attention to the shops and businesses that you may pass by every day on your way to work, the doctor, or right down that road you may have never even set foot in before. We know that everyone says it is important to support small businesses, but does the average person truly do so? And if not, why not? I know many of us now do a lot of shopping online, but that is not supporting our own neighbors and it actually hurts small businesses. Are local businesses and their owners not the first to support a sports team, non-profit, or organization when they come knocking on the door for a sponsorship or donation? Are they not the first to support a family in need in the community? They are constantly bombarded with these requests on a daily basis. So why do we not support them more often and in turn, get something out of it by just using a service locally or getting an item made or sold locally?

These businesses are run by people right here in our community. They do back breaking work and long hours to just break even more often than not. Many of them will tell you that owning a small businesses and running one is a lifestyle, and very rarely the means to get rich. In fact, a lot of these owners at times will forgo paying themselves in order to be able to will employees or bills first if they are having a tough week or month. Many times any kind of money made will go right back into their business. I am challenging all of us this year and for the entire year of 2015 to support our local businesses and organizations. Take our challenge of visiting 3 local places from now until December 31st, and not only that, but when you go into a local place introduce yourself and ask the person at the counter their name also. You will be surprised at how quickly a community will start to feel like an actual community once we start to strike up little conversations. We are all so bombarded with the busyness of our lives, very rarely to we look up and just talk to a person anymore. This is our plea to you to now take a stance and support your own community by supporting the businesses who help support us and other organizations during the year. Small Business Saturday is November 29th, but let’s make Small Business Day all year round in 2015. Sincerely, Erika Gauthier, President Register for chamber events at www.guilderlandchamber.com/calendar.html

CHILD SUPPORT – WHAT CAN HAPPEN IF YOU DON’T PAY IT? Guilderland, NY - A local man made the news recently when he was picked up on a warrant due to outstanding child support owed of over $90,000.00! Child support is an obligation that a parent has to his or her child to provide for that child’s needs- food, clothing, shelter. Child support Orders can be issued either from the Family Court, or the Supreme Court in a matrimonial/divorce case. Paying child support is not only a moral responsibility to your children, but also a significant legal one. If child support is not paid, then either a violation or contempt of court proceeding can be brought. The proceeding is generally brought in the court that originated the Order, although Family Court has jurisdiction of both Family and Supreme Court support cases. There are two types of violations- willful and non-willful. A willful violation means you had the ability to meet your obligations, but didn’t. A non-willful means you did not have the ability, but still had the obligation. Even if the violation is non willful, it still has serious ramifications. The person alleged to be in violation of the support Order will be served with certain legal papers, and s/he has a right to appear and defend him/herself at a trial. If a non-willful violation is found, the court has the option to do any or all of the following: •

Enter a Money Judgment

Make an Income Deduction Order

Require an undertaking

Order a Sequestration

Suspend the payer’s driving privileges

Suspend the payer’s state professional or business license (i.e. doctor, lawyer, etc.)

Suspend a recreational license (i.e. hunting, fishing, etc.)

If the persons whom the payer has failed to support are on public assistance, the payer can be required to participate in “work activities”

Participate in job training, employment counseling, or other programs designed to lead to employment

If a willful violation is found, in addition to what is listed above, a court can:

Order counsel fees to the attorney for the recipient

Require the payer to participate in a rehabilitative program

Place the payer on probation

And most significantly: COMMIT THE PAYER TO JAIL FOR A TERM UP TO SIX (6) MONTHS! If you are the payer parent and cannot make payment due to loss of employment, illness, etc., you should consult an attorney and petition the court to modify your obligation. Simply ignoring it does not make it go away. The longer you wait the more money you owe. Keep in mind that a “handshake” agreement with the other parent is not binding, even if it lasts for years. You must modify the Order or you are responsible for it. You don’t want to come home one day to find legal paperwork that says you owe thousands of dollars. It is important to differentiate between ability to pay, and inability. With inability, there are steps you can take to adjust your support. With ability, the ultimate remedy may be the inside of a jail cell.

While standing under the Mistletoe, one gift we do not want to share is “Holiday Halitosis”. Halitosis, or bad breath, is caused by a number of factors. Your dentist can identify the cause and suggest the best treatment to end this embarrassing condition. Some causes of bad breath are: • Food - What you eat affects your breath. Healthy food such as garlic or onions produce unpleasant odors. Lack of brushing or flossing can allow the collection of bacteria to flourish. Dieters may develop unpleasant breath from eating infrequently. • Gum Disease - Bad breath can be an early sign of plaque gum disease. • Dry Mouth - Some medications can decrease the flow of saliva which help to wash away food particles. Your dentist can describe an artificial saliva. • Smoking & Tobacco Use - Both can lead to bad breath. Tobacco irritates gum tissue and increases the risk of oral cancer. • Medical Conditions - Sinus, lung infections, bronchitis, diabetes, liver and kidney diseases may be associated with bad breath. Bad breath can be a sign of a medical condition. If your dentist determines your mouth is healthy, he or she may recommend seeing your physician. Good, regular, oral hygiene can eliminate bad breath. Brush two times a day and brush your tongue as well. Mouthwashes might only temporarily mask the symptoms of a more serious condition. See your dentist regularly. Happy Halitosis-Free Holidays to all! Sincerely, With Oshins of Smiles, Dr. Steven Oshins

YEAR-END TAX STRATEGIES

E

arlier this year, we discussed the importance of making income tax planning a year-round activity. This month, we offer reminders of some strategies that have year-end deadlines as it relates to the 2014 personal income tax year.

• If you are not on pace to achieve your target level of contributions to your employer-sponsored retirement plan (up to a maximum $17,500 for 401k or similar accounts, plus an additional $5,500 ‘catch up’ for those who are age 50 or older), you may wish to contact your employer’s payroll department to increase your contributions for your UHPDLQLQJ SD\FKHFNV <RX PD\ HYHQ Ă€QG LW PDNHV VHQVH to contribute your entire paycheck (after other mandatory withholdings) so as to maximize your contribution for the year. • For tax year 2014, the standard deduction amounts are IRU PDUULHG Ă€OLQJ MRLQWO\ IRU KHDG RI KRXVHKROG DQG IRU LQGLYLGXDO WD[SD\HUV DQG PDUULHG Ă€OLQJ VHSDUDWHO\ ,I \RX Ă€QG WKDW \RXU LWHPL]HG GHGXFWLRQV (which may include, but are not limited to, medical expenses, property taxes, sales taxes, mortgage interest, state income tax payments, and charitable donations) are close to the standard deduction, you may wish to consider pre-paying some 20145expenses, such as property taxes or charitable donations. By “bunching deductionsâ€?, those who typically are eligible only for the standard deductions may be able to itemize deductions every other year, thereby realizing some income tax savings. • Certain high-deductible health insurance plans allow for the ability to make tax-deductible contributions to a Health 6DYLQJV $FFRXQW +6$ DV DQ DERYH WKH OLQH GHGXFWLRQ ZKLFK PHDQV RQH QHHG QRW LWHPL]H GHGXFWLRQV LQ RUGHU WR EHQHĂ€W For 2014, eligible persons may contribute as much as $3,300 for individual coverage or $6,550 for family coverage (plus an additional $1,000 for people age 55 or older). Please note that HSA contributions are not permitted if you are enrolled in Medicare Part A or Part B. • Depending on your personal tax situation, you may wish to realize capital gains (by selling appreciated securities) or capital losses (by selling securities which are worth less than what you paid for them). Q&A with Kathy Burbank, Executive Director Community Caregivers Q. What is Community Caregivers? A. Community Caregivers provides services that enable individuals of all ages to maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life within their homes and communities. We do this through volunteers, by offering non-medical assistance to local residents who might otherwise be hospitalized or institutionalized, and by helping home caregivers manage the physical, emotional and financial toll that continuous caregiving can take. Q. What year did your organization start? A. Community Caregivers began in 1994; we are celebrating 20 years this year! Q. Where are you located? A. Our office is at 2021 Western Ave, but we serve Guilderland, Altamont, and much of the surrounding western Albany county area, even into much of Bethlehem and the Hilltowns. Q. What is your phone number and website address? A. 518-456-2898 and www.communitycaregivers.org. We also have a Facebook page and a linked in page; go to the sites and search for us!

Community Caregivers 20th Anniversary Gala

Q. How and why did you get into the business? A. Community Caregivers was the idea of three Altamont residents: Joel Edwards, Vic Ross and Mary Therriault. Intrigued by the idea of parish nursing, they met during 1994 to figure out how to implement the parish nurse concept in their community. Joel, Vic and Mary established Altamont Community Caregivers as a not-for-profit organization in 1995, and a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant was awarded in that same year to support the project. Some generous time and money contributions from individuals and faith-based groups within the community allowed Altamont Community Caregivers to build a volunteer pool and begin continuing service.

Q. Do you have many regular customers/clients? What is your most requested service? A. We have hundreds of clients; many receive multiple services a week or month, and some only ask for help a few times a year. We also have about 200 volunteers who provide the services; and again, some do it 3 times per week! The most asked for service is transportation to medical appointments; often after release from an institution. It is the single most important thing we do, and can often reduce the chance of the client going into a nursing home or being re-admitted to a hospital. Q. Are you known for anything special? A. We are known for our “neighbors helping neighbors” philosophy and for our free services. Q. What hours are you open? A. The office is open 8:30 to 4, Monday thru Friday, but our volunteers perform services throughout the day and even on the weekends. Q. What do you love most about the business? A. We love this: “Recently, I fell and suffered two back fractures. I am still in awe of the kindness of others who came to my rescue. I was in pain and had to wear a back brace, and I could not lift, bend or drive.”

“Community Caregivers sent a sympathetic nurse who was full of helpful information, and provided transportation to my doctors and dentist. They even arranged a Spring cleanup of my yard. I felt more connected to my local community than I ever had before.” Q. What do you think is your biggest challenge with the business? A. As with any nonprofit, funding is always an issue. The services are free, but the more services we provide, the more staff need to work behind the scenes, recruiting and training volunteers and doing intakes on clients. And then for our agency in particular, we also have people living longer coupled with baby boomers aging, which has caused a massive number of seniors that need help to stay in their homes across the country. Q. What do you want the community to know about you? A. That although we serve any ages, we serve mostly seniors, and according to research, 89% of seniors want to stay in their homes as long as they can. We fill the gaps that neighbors and grown or distant children cannot, providing the caregiving serves these folks need to age in place.

WINTER SPORTS SAFETY By: Dr. Kim Leis-Keeling

Guilderland, NY - I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and survived the excitement of Black Friday shopping. With our fresh layer of snow, it sure got me in the Holiday Spirit and boosted my excitement to head out to go sledding and skiing with my family. I’m sure some of you were sharing your dislike of winter weather in the Northeast as you spent several hours shoveling. I would like to say just a quick word regarding back safety. Remember to take it easy when shoveling and when using your snow blower. Try to avoid twisting to throw the snow off your shovel and make sure you lift with your legs, not your back. Always keep your core (abdominal) muscles tight because this will protect your spine. If you feel pain in your back, then stop and ice your back (or just lie in the snow and make snow angels). J On a more serious note, I wanted to bring some attention to winter sport safety. We often think of concussions related to football and soccer but the fact is a concussion can happen in virtually any sport. Concussion can also happen as a result of direct impact to your head or indirectly where there may be a forceful bodily impact. Keep this in mind when your family is skiing, sledding, or the aggressive shopping during Black FridayJ. If you fall or collide with another person, a concussion could result. Here is a list of sign and symptoms of a concussion to look for according to the SCAT 3 concussion assessment.

SIGNS OF CONCUSSION If any of the following signs are observed after a direct or indirect blow to the head, the athlete should stop participation, be evaluated by a medical professional and should not be permitted to play sports the same day if any concussion is suspected. • • • • • •

Loss of consciousness Balance or motor incoordination (stumbles, slow/labored movements) Disorientation or confusion (inability to respond appropriately to questions) Loss of memory Blank or vacant look Visible facial injury in combination with any of the above

ADDITIONAL SYMPTOMS OF CONCUSSION These symptoms may develop over time after a direct or indirect blow to the head or high force impact to the body. • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

Headache “Pressure in the head” Neck Pain Nausea or vomiting Dizziness Blurred Vision Balance Problems Sensitivity to light Sensitivity to noise Feeling like “in a fog” “Don’t feel right” Difficulty concentrating Difficulty remembering Fatigue or low energy Confusion Drowsiness Trouble fall asleep More emotional Irritability Sadness Nervous or Anxious

Keep your kids and family safe this winter. If they have a crash/ collision on the sled hill or the terrain park and complain of any of the above symptoms, please treat this condition seriously and stop activity. It may not be the first concussion that is the most threatening, but the potential for the second impact is most devastating to the athlete. Follow up with a medical professional as soon as possible. If you have questions about this article or our practice please feel free to contact us at the Sports & Spinal Wellness Center at 518-869-3415 or visit our website at www.sportsandspinalwellness.com. Follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/sportsandspinalwellness HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM ALL OF US AT THE SPORTS & SPINAL WELLNESS CENTER

Dr. Kim Keeling resides in Guilderland with husband, Mark, and two children, Tristan and Taylor. She graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN. She has been a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician for eight years.

TEA’S POWERFUL HEALTH BENEFITS Guilderland, NY- Tea is the second most widely consumed beverage in the world, second only to water. In addition to its hydrating properties and the simple pleasure found in drinking a cup of tea, tea has many health benefits. These include reduction of heart attack and stroke risk, prevention of certain cancers, strengthened cardio-vascular system, improved digestion, reduced tooth decay, enhanced immune system, and reduced bacterial infections. Tea and its associated health benefits originated around 5,000 years ago. Modern medicine has been around 100 years. This means that tea has been regarded as a healthy drink for 4,900 years before modern medicine. Tea is well regarded as a healthy drink and is an enhancement to western preventative medicine. History shows that monks loved tea. They were the first to cultivate it and promote its growth throughout Southeast Asia. During long stints of meditation they needed caffeine to provide mental alertness and they loved the calmative effects of L-theanine (l-thee-a-neen). L-theanine interacts directly with the brain to provide a feeling of tranquility and reduced anxiety. Increased calmness and alertness is a magical combination.

Unless you are drinking decaffeinated tea, black tea contains about half the amount of caffeine found in coffee. It provides a more even energy boost without the crash sometimes experienced after the caffeine from your cup of coffee wears off. Green and white teas contain even less caffeine about 30mg and 15mg, respectfully. Other known stimulants (xanthines) present in tea are theophylline and theobromine. Theophylline (thee-off-lyn), the basis for asthma medications, is found in trace amounts in tea. It relaxes the bronchial tubes and helps decrease swelling in the lungs as well as increasing heart health with its anti-inflammatory properties. Theobromine is a vasodilator which opens up the blood vessels, aiding circulation, and may be responsible for lowered blood pressure. Tea is also high in antioxidants. Antioxidants are touted for neutralizing free radicals that damage cells. There are many antioxidants and tea has a particularly powerful one. It is called epigallocatechin 3-gallate or EGCG. EGCG is more present in green and white tea and less so in black tea. It is also found in chocolate, grapes and berries, but in lesser amounts. At Short and Stout we focus on fun and exciting tea blends. We believe that all tea is healthy as it all comes from the same tea plant, so the health benefits are very similar across different types. As we mentioned in a previous article, if the tea you’re drinking isn’t from the tea plant, then it’s a tisane. But don’t fret; there are a host of other health benefits associated with tisanes that we will discuss in a future article! Column by Joyce and Matt Zacharewicz of Short and Stout Tea Company where you can find over 120 premium teas and tisanes from around the world. The shop is located at 1736a Western Avenue, Guilderland and is a perfect place to meet up with friends or catch up on reading or homework. There are several cozy areas to sit while enjoying a pot of tea with a variety of sweet and savory pastries. The retail section offers convenient grab and go teas to make at home as well as a full line of accessories. At Short and Stout - It’s Time for Tea. OurTowneGUILDERLAND.com

REAL ESTATE EXPERT REVEALS INSIDE SECRET

TO PREVENTING EQUITY LOSS WHEN SELLING A HOME Guilderland, NY – The local real estate market is improving and many homeowners are considering selling their homes for the first time due to the increased market activity. It is important to take the correct steps when selling a home to maximize your return. While there are many mistakes that can be made, the number one most costly mistake in this market is PRICING. In a fast changing market, finding the correct price to list a home for the maximum return is difficult. Two recent examples of how pricing your home incorrectly could cost you literally tens of thousands of dollars, drive this point home. John is a client of mine that we closed 3 weeks ago. We sold his home in a week for $345,000 with multiple offers. After the closing he said to me “You know the other real estate agent told me I would be lucky to get $300,000.” This week we went contract on a home at $199,000 after 7 days on the market. Again the seller said to me “The other real estate agent I met with told me I should list at $189,000.” Imagine if these sellers had taken the first advice they received and listed at lower prices? They would have lost at least $55,000 in equity and not even known it. On top of that, they probably would have thanked their real estate agents for selling their homes so quickly. The agents likely would have bragged they received 100% of list price as well! So how does this happen? It happens because pricing a home in a volatile

market is difficult and not all real estate agents understand the changing dynamics involved. Home evaluation is a specialty, so why not have a home valuation specialist value your home before you put it up for sale? Currently, for me to obtain my real estate salesperson license requires me to take a 75 hour qualifying course of which only a small portion is devoted to home evaluation. Suddenly after this short class a real estate salesperson is qualified to provide homeowners with a “market analysis” of their home’s value. To become a real estate appraiser that specializes in valuations only is a little more rigorous. For me to obtain my general appraisal certification I had to take 180 hours of specialized valuation classes and spend 3,000 hours of specialized property valuation experience under the guidance of an experienced appraiser. There was also

a state audit and exam, before the state would grant me an appraisal license to value property. A specialist will always outperform a generalist. Putting the right price on your home can literally save you thousands of dollars. So be sure to hire an appraiser or make sure your real estate agent holds an appraisal license. With the changing market we have been inundated with property valuation requests. If you are thinking of selling the following site will provide a free instant home evaluation. Of course a more accurate in person appraisal should be completed as well, but this will give you an idea of your home’s value at www.albanyNYhomevalues. com For a more detailed update on current real estate market conditions or the value of your home in call or email us anytime.

GUILDERLAND PUBLIC LIBRARY 2228 Western Ave, Guilderland • (518) 456-2400 • www.guilpl.org

Guilderland, NY- This month, I’d like to look back on the community forum on heroin and opiates that we hosted on Tuesday, November 18th. Ninety concerned citizens and parents attended the forum, which was organized by Assemblymember Pat Fahy’s Office. The knowledgeable and concerned panel included Sheriff Craig Apple,

a little overwhelming. Any reference librarian can help you locate accurate and up-to-date medical and health information. We value health information so highly that we have three librarians who are Consumer Health Information Specialists, as certified by the Medical Library Association, who are available for confidential, one-on-one

Assemblymember Pat Fahy (left) and Sheriff Craig Apple (right) speak at the community forum on heroin and opiates GPD Chief Carol Lawlor, Dr. Don Doynow, emergency physician for the Town of Guilderland, Tom Lutsic, principal of GHS, Keith Stack, Director of the Addictions Care Center of Albany, and Lisa Wickens-Alteri, an R.N. and health executive whose family has confronted heroin addiction. Many concerned community leaders were also in attendance. Much information was shared, almost all of it difficult to hear—this is a real crisis not just in Guilderland, but as Sheriff Apple noted, it is a global problem. But sharing information is a great first step, and I for one left the forum with both a deeper awareness of the problem and a renewed sense of hope that our communities are fighting back. I was proud of the library that evening—as I am everyy day. Our purpose is to inform, educate, and entertain the people of Guilderland, as well as to serve as “Guilderland’s Gathering Place,” an important function which allows community groups to come together in our large meeting rooms. Whether the issues discussed are related to health, crime, safety, children, or any of the vast array of other subjects which people come here to share and communicate about. While I am new to the library, I am sure if you are reading this you have been to many speakers and events over the years at GPL—and we will keep up our efforts to keep you coming back.

We are fully EPA608 cer fied for Freon (refrigerant) recovery and removal from refrigerators, freezers, air condi oners, dehumidifiers and coolers. We are doing our part to help protect the environment both now and for the future. A compe tor once asked was I â€œâ€Śs ll going down into basements?â€? The answer is and always will be: YES! “Don’t Worry, We Can Take It!â€? isn’t just our company slogan, it is the back bone of what we do. FOR ADOPTION Ivy is a small very sweet active little girl. She is a beautiful DSH hair w/ green eyes. She was found starving in an inner-city back yard. She had a severe flea allergy with very little hair on her body and looked so very helpless. Although she would run up to the home owner begging for food he choose not to feed her. Ivy was rescued and she immediately thanked us by curling up in our lap and snuggling. Although Ivy is almost one year old she still has some kitten qualities. She has energy and loves to run around the house. She loves her toys!! She also likes to take time out from her playing to cuddle in your lap or help you with your office work. She will want to cuddle up and sleep w/ you every night with no exceptions! Ivy loves to look out windows and meet you at the door when you come in. She likes to be around the home activities. Although Ivy gets along very well w/ the other 5 cats in her foster home Ivy insists on being the only cat to sleep on the bed w/ her Dad at night. Ivy is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccines and has tested negative for FIV/ Felv. If you would like to know more, please contact Laurie at brightsky@nycap.rr.com or 518-461-0251
