ollywood FL • As an interactive program of the Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Hollywood facilitates opportunities for community involvement, develops personal and professional leadership styles, and provides insight into all major components of our City, County and State.
What does Leadership Hollywood offer? As one of the state’s longest-running leadership programs, Leadership Hollywood (LH) is a nine month comprehensive approach to professional development. The LH program is intended for community and business leaders to: (1) Sharpen their leadership skills (2) Increase community involvement (3) Learn about resources and opportunities . LH programming encourages critical and creative thinking and problem solving skills. Participants engage in various leadership, extracurricular and community activities which impact our business climate and serve greater Hollywood. The LH class engages with current leaders and numerous industry experts, which increase their community involvement. What is the Leadership Hollywood format? The LH cohort takes a hands-on approach to leadership. LH consists of nine

program days designed to develop an individual’s leadership style and understanding of available resources unique to Hollywood, Broward County and the State of Florida. Program days lead the class through interactive activities which provide insight into the inner workings of our community. The LH curriculum includes: Health and Human Services, Public Safety, Education, Art & Culture, Environmental Issues, Criminal Justice, Broward County Government, Media, City Government, Business Development and Tourism. In addition, the class will be divided into sub-groups and assigned a community service project to be completed before the end of the program. Each sub-group will partner with an organization seeking to strengthen their community positioning. Through their service projects, participants will leverage their leadership skills to serve and better our community.

LH cohorts become lifelong friends who continue to support each other in personal and business endeavors. Leadership Hollywood Alumni include: Mayor Josh Levy, Vice Mayor Linda Sherwood, Commissioners Caryl Shuham and Kevin Biederman, as well as, our Chief of Police Chris O’ Brien and many others. Be a part of Class 45. Leadership Hollywood Class 45 is now accepting applicants! The deadline to apply is set for September 22nd, 2021. LH Kick-Off is scheduled for October 8th, 2021.
