It’s Beginning to Look a lot Like...Snowfest

B

etween trips to the shopping malls, holiday parties, and baking cookies and treats, it’s a festive, yet hectic time of the year. But we must remember that there a quite a few holiday happenings all around town that should not be missed. The most anticipated annual event is SnowFest. For the past four decades, thousands of all ages come out to the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way, to get in the holiday spirit. It doesn’t matter which holiday one celebrates as all are welcome to the free event hosted by the City of Pembroke Pines Recreation and Cultural Arts Department on December 4th from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. An abundance of activities will be featured including 75 tons of snow in which to play, a Polar Express slide, a Holiday Carousel, and a Gingerbread Bounce House. Children can make their own Santa Trail Mix, create and take art projects, and enjoy reindeer games. The air will also be filled with the sounds of the holidays with over 500 performers on the holiday stage. Food trucks will also be on-site selling a variety of goodies.
