r. Marcela Torres and Dr. Miguel Torres recently opened Modern OBGYN Care with one goal in mind: to provide women with the highest level of care possible by combining evidence-based treatments with state-of-the-art technology. The husband and wife recently opened their practice. Both doctors bring impressive backgrounds to the practice. Dr. Miguel Torres is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He was born in Havana, Cuba. Dr. Torres earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology & Cell Science at the University of Florida and graduated, with Honors, from Ross University School of Medicine. He then earned Highest Honors while completing his OBGYN Residency at Mercer University School of Medicine in 2013. Dr. Marcela Torres was Born in Cali, Colombia. She earned her Bachelor’s in Biology at Kean University in New Jersey and graduated from Ross University School of Medicine with honors. She then completed a General Surgery Internship at the University of Maryland. In 2017, Dr. Torres graduated from OBGYN Residency at Mercer University School of Medicine. She is Board Eligible from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Tell us about Modern OBGYN Care. We are committed to providing modern personalized Obstetrical and Gynecological care for women of all ages in our community. Our approach is to combine evidence-based medicine, the latest technology, and top-of-the-line treatments for the health of our patients.
Sounds great. Why did you decide on OBGYN as your specialty? Dr. Miguel Torres - I am passionate about helping women bring a new life into this world. It is inspiring. I treat every patient with respect, compassion and truly care for their well-being. Dr. Marcela Torres - I enjoy practicing in the field of obstetrics because having a baby is the most memorable moment of a women’s life. I strive to make this moment special and perfect for each of my patients.
Tell us about the incredible new technology at the practice. We offer “mommy makeovers” using Inmode’s Votiva. The platform can benefit women’s sexual health and treat indications like urinary incontinence, dyspareunia, vaginal dryness, or perineal scarring from childbirth. This is not a laser, it uses radio frequency technology (RF). There is zero downtime following the procedure. We also have state-of-theart imaging for our pregnant patients. Moms have the ability to see their baby in 3-D from the comfort of our office. It is truly an incredible experience.
