“We swore we weren’t ready for senior living. Then we saw The Palace.”

Jack & Evelyn Miller

“We were stunned. We stayed in the Four Seasons in Paris once, and The Palace in Weston looked better. Ten minutes after we walked in the door, we realized we had never seen senior living like this. Everything you can think of is at your fingertips. Chef-prepared meals in the dining room. A social director who makes cruise ships look dull. A staff trained to deliver such a high level of care and comfort they’ve been named #1 in America. Everywhere you look, it’s 5-star all the way. But you need good friends to share it with. Our crowd at The Palace are some of the best new friends we’ve ever met, and every single one of us will tell you: ‘We wish we had found The Palace sooner.’ ”

The Palace at Weston is taking reservations. Now is the time to visit our spectacular Weston Leasing Center at 15951 SW 41st St., Suite 500, Davie, FL 33331.

The Best Valentine’s Day Gift

F

ebruary is typically the month we shower those we love with gifts of chocolates and flowers, and maybe a piece of jewelry. This Valentine’s Day, why not give your loved one a gift that truly shows how much you care about them – the gift of life. February is American Heart Month and it’s the perfect time to help your family adopt a heart-healthy lifestyle and learn lifesaving CPR. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States. According to the American Heart Association (AHA), someone in this country suffers a heart attack every 34 seconds. This is when blood flow to the heart is blocked. During a heart attack, seconds count. It is critical to keep the blood flowing until paramedics arrive. That’s why the AHA is encouraging everyone, even children, to learn hands-only CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). Throughout the month of February, local municipalities, fire departments, and other agencies and health care providers will be offering hands-only CPR classes. It consists of two simple steps – call 9-1-1 and then push hard and fast until help arrives. Immediate CPR can double or triple a person’s chances of survival after cardiac arrest. Take the time to learn this lifesaving technique, because the life you save will likely be that of someone you know. This is also the month to adopt a heart healthy lifestyle, if you haven’t already. That means eating nutrient-rich foods, exercising more (with at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity each week), and living a tobacco-free life. So, this Valentine’s Day, show your loved ones how much you really care – take the time to learn or refresh your CPR skills and commit to living a heart-healthy life. Sincerely,

Christy & Terry Jaillet

N

ow in its 37th year, the Southeast Florida Scottish Festival and Highland Games will be held at Plantation Heritage Park on March 7th, 2020. The centrally located premier venue will be transformed into an exciting exhibition of Scottish culture. As always, The Scottish American Society of South Florida (SASSF) will sponsor the anticipated annual festival which has become well-known around the country for its high-quality organization and featured entertainment celebrating Scottish Culture and Heritage. Besides a fun time, The Scottish Festival is an educational event which includes a wide variety of Scottish cultural activities coupled with a Highland Games. These games are comprised of competitions in bagpiping, drumming, and Scottish athletics with participation by people of all ages, ethnicities, and sexes and is not

restricted to those of Scottish heritage. The colorful cultural event will provide two performance stages, as well as feature pipe band performances on the field. The Main Stage will host the Canadian Celtic rock band, The Mudmen, and the City of Dunedin Pipe Band both return as headlining music acts. New to the festival this year is The Piper Jones Band, a high-energy trio of Highland bagpipes accompanied by the unique percussive chords of the bouzouki and drum will perform both traditional songs and tunes from Scotland, Ireland, and Appalachia along with their original compositions. The Palm Beach Sword School joins for the first time to demonstrate historically accurate broadsword and targe fighting. Audience members may be able to “Have A Go” and try it for themselves. Another festival favorite is storytelling where Scottish and Celtic myths, fairytales and history are told through vivid detail. Living history and artisan craft demonstrations will be back along with herding demos, dance traditions, children’s games, and so much more.

The vendor area will feature Scottish/Celtic artisan merchandise, such as pottery, jewelry, fabric arts, and leatherwork, including works by local and other Florida-based artisans. Traditional Scottish foods and plenty of foods from other cultural traditions will be available to purchase. “Bring your own ‘clan’ of family and friends to hear the bagpipes, fiddles, and drums, witness caber-tossing, stone-throwing men and women athletes, wash down your Scotch egg, bangers and mash, and shortbread with some fine Scottish ale and Irn Bru – the most popular drink in Scotland, research your family connections, and shop for Scottish goods all in one beautiful location. Remember, everyone looks good in a kilt,” exclaimed Cheryl Gowing, SASSF President. Hours are 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM., rain or shine, no refunds. Admittance is $15 at ticket outlets in advance & online and $20 at the gate. Children 6-14, $3. Under 6 free. Ticket price includes park entry fee and parking. Climb Aboard the New G

etting to and from Miami just got easier and faster thanks to the new 75 Express Bus. It provides direct service from the park and ride lots at the BB&T Center in Sunrise and Miami Gardens Drive (@ I-75) to the Miami Airport Station, where you can transfer to local rail or bus to destinations throughout MiamiDade County. This premium bus service has started, and readers can get a FREE 3-DAY PASS to try South Florida’s nationally recognized transit service today. Western Broward and Miami-Dade County residents can now easily join the thousands of South Floridians who use Express Buses each day to get to work. For more information on how to get your FREE 3-DAY PASS, go to www.TryTransitFree.com. The 75 Express Bus is funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and operated by Broward County Transit. It builds upon the success of the 95 Express Bus and 595 Express Bus services, which continually receive rave reviews. Riders who use those bus services rate them satisfactory or above satisfactory.

Fast, Comfortable, Convenient

The Express Buses are used primarily by riders who own their own cars, but welcome the convenience, comfort and cost savings of commuting in the coach-style buses. One-way fares on the 75 Express Bus are available for as little as $1.30 and monthly passes cost less than $100. The 75 Express Bus will offer free Wi-Fi, air-conditioned comfort, comfortable seating and will travel in the express lanes for faster more reliable travel times. Service will be provided every 30 minutes during the peak morning and afternoon commute times. Commuters can take com-

fort in knowing that life’s little emergencies are not an issue thanks to FDOT’s Guaranteed Ride Home program. This government-funded program will cover the cost of Lyft or taxi rides home if the Express Bus is unavailable and you need to leave work early for an emergency or have to stay late for an unscheduled overtime.

A Better Way to Commute

This new, premium transit service is designed to get commuters from western Broward

The afternoon commute begins at 3:45pm with the last bus leaving the Miami Airport Station at 7:20pm and scheduled to arrive at the BB&T Center by 8:24pm. “The new 75 Express Service demonstrates continual growth of our commitment to residents to continue making it easier and

more convenient to use public transit. The 75 Express will offer better connectivity to Miami and give commuters an economical and stress-free option for traveling to their destination, especially those who live and work along the I-75 corridor,” said Transportation Director Chris Walton. The Express Bus system is a core component of the express lanes along I-75, I-595 and I-95. The express lanes are multi-modal facilities designed

An Officer and A Gentleman BY BEVERLY PERKINS

U

pon returning to school after the holidays, the students at Peters Elementary had another celebration. They took pride in participating in “Law Enforcement Appreciation Day” and honoring their very own “Panda Protector” aka School Resource Officer (SRO) Jeffrey Young. “Having an officer as dedicated and professional as Officer Young is truly a blessing. His experience and ‘law enforcement eyes’ add a layer of safety that help us to maintain a safe campus each and every day. The children respect him and see him as a person they can

trust and count on an that is priceless!” explained Principal Deutsch. Students decorated posters and wrote cards expressing

their gratitude to the dedicated SRO. Additionally, a large banner was created to welcome Young, parents, and students at drop-off to let everyone know how appreciative they are of having someone so special on campus keeping them safe. With code drills so often, the children remember very well why Officer Young’s job is so important. “The banner is just a perfect way to greet the man who greets our kids first thing every morning. He is standing in the rain, or in the cold, or in the sweltering heat waving to children in almost every car while making sure that traffic is moving in the safest possible manner,” said PTA President and Parent Jessica Valenzuela. “He’s a nice guy, sure, but don’t be confused, he’ll pull you over and ticket you in a heartbeat if you’re speeding or staring down at your phone. The guy means business!” The students were not the only ones showing their appreciation,

parents took time to decorate Young’s office. Many parents have had the privilege of also developing a relationship with the compassionate officer. Children love when he knows their names, walks with them in the hallways, and raises the flag each morning. “Officer Young is a tremendous asset to Peters Elementary School. He is a great source of comfort for every parent and every child. It’s gotten harder to send our babies into schools daily. With Officer Young on campus, we all can breathe a bit easier as we drive away in the morning, or as we wave goodbye to the bus. There is no way that a man who has served 29 years here in Plantation will not know how he is so deeply appreciated. For his many years of service, along with his tremendous impact on our children, this is the very least we can do. We really have the best of the best in Officer Young,” added Valenzuela.

All Was Calm, All Was Bright at Peters Elementary BY BEVERLY PERKINS

ust before the winter break, Peters Elementary had a surprise guest visitor at their first “Family Night” which was perfectly coordinated and hosted by the school’s PTA. Luminaries lined a path into the Media Center where all the attendees were greeted by Santa and his elves at the “Holiday Gift Shoppe”. Each year the students can shop in the gift-filled store to purchase items for the special people in their lives. An abundance of adorable options are offered with exceptionally good pricing so everyone can afford to buy a present. PTA volunteers assist the youngsters with budgeting their money and selecting presents so that everyone leaves with something for everyone on their “Nice List”. However, this year, all families were invited to participate in the festivities during the inaugural event. “Elves” from Peters Elementary PTA, American Heritage High School, and South Plantation High School were also in attendance to

facilitate the many activities. “Working on the holiday shoppe was a unique experience. Every child was excited to be playing the Santa role for their family. The smiles they had was something that I will take with me forever. It was a priceless moment made possible by volunteers and PTA members that care and love our school and our children,” expressed Parent Volunteer Janet Recio-Dzoba. The little Pandas were told to come dressed in their pajamas so they could enjoy hot cocoa and cookies with the man in the big red suit. Principal Deutsch and Assistant Principal Temple served up the hot winter beverage and helped the students write letters to Santa while their families enjoyed

sweet treats all night provided by the local Publix supermarket. “The children were proud to show off their English and Language Arts (ELA) skills to their new principal before mailing them to Mrs. Claus at the North Pole,” noted PTA President Jessica Valenzuela. The media center was filled with excitement as parents conversed with each other and children lined up for their special turn to speak with St. Nick. “Our first family night was a blast! The PTA wasn’t sure how many families and children to expect. We estimate that we had somewhere near 85 families. It was so much fun putting on this event. Jerry Arbelaez was a phenomenal Santa. We can hardly wait until next year,” added Valenzuela.

CAN DO KID

Game, Set, Match – Local Teen Hits Big BY BEVERLY PERKINS

L

ast September, Elvina Kalieva from Sunrise played in the US Open Junior Championship. Although she fell in the second round of the singles and doubles draw, the tournament was the perfect way for the determined teen to prepare for the 2019 Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships. Orange Bowl International is widely recognized as the oldest and most prestigious international junior tennis tournament in the world. This past December it celebrated its 73rd year of competition at the Frank Veltri Tennis Center in Plantation. “The rites of passage in junior tennis include a pilgrimage to the Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships,” said Lew Brewer, USTA Director Junior Competition. “With few exceptions, the world’s best juniors test their skills at the Orange Bowl. We’re happy to be back at the Veltri Tennis Center in Plantation, Florida and look forward to hosting the future greats of tennis.” The three-day competition featured singles and doubles play for boys and girls in the 18-andunder and 16-and-under divisions, the Orange Bowl is the last International Tennis Federation (ITF) Grade A event of the year. Grade A events are the highestranking ITF junior events after the Grand Slams.

Elvina started playing tennis at a young age but started competing at age eleven. Fast forward five years and the now sixteen-year-old played in the renowned tournament but fell in the third round to eventual champion Robin Montgomery. “That was fun! It was my second time playing and was better this year because I qualified into the main draw and won a round. It was one of the best tournaments that I’ve ever played. The experience from it has helped me a lot. There was a big crowd there, so I got used to playing around a lot of people, the level is higher, and it showed me where I need to be,” exclaimed Elvina. Over the past half-century, the event has become a barometer for judging pro potential, as champions are touted as the players most likely to succeed on the professional tours. Past champions include John McEnroe, Chris Evert, Roger Federer, Bjorn Borg, Ivan Lendl, Jim Courier, Andy Roddick, Mary Joe Fernandez, Caroline Wozniacki and Bianca Andreescu. The list of other participants is equally as impressive as current and former tennis greats such as Novak Djokovic, Maria Sharapova, Ana Ivanovic, Jelena Jankovic, and Gael Monfils, among others, have competed in the prestigious event. “I love competing, especially when I’m playing close matches. It’s really fun especially when you win and it’s a great feeling,” added Elvina.

The Buck Stops Here! BY BEVERLY PERKINS

A

lmost a decade ago, the GFWC Plantation Woman’s Club (PWC) partnered with Plantation Elementary to create an initiative to motivate their students to maintain and receive good grades. Back in 2012, the encouraging program was called “Frost Bucks” in honor of Tonya Frost who was the principal at that time. But three years ago, the name was changed to “Tiger Bucks” by Principal Judith Pitter to reflect the school’s mascot. “Tiger Bucks” are an award teachers and administrators use to reward good attendance, good behavior, and

good grades. For example, following school rules and showing outstanding effort can earn eager students the Monopoly-like money to use in the school store which is operated by volunteers from the PWC. Of course, the store stocks some basic school supplies such as pencils and glue bottles. But they also have small toys, treats, snacks, and plenty of other fun items that fill the shelves. Usually, two PWC volunteers escort the students around the store to assist them with their purchase. This little store offers up some big decisions when these young students are shopping. Those who don’t see anything

that catches their eye can bank their money for another visit. PWC volunteer Judy McLeod serves as the store banker. She keeps a small book with each student’s name and the amount of “bucks” they have earned. In addition to purchasing items, students also learn the value of saving their “bucks” wisely. The club stocks the store monthly. The biggest collection came after the Club’s holiday lunch where members contributed many items to the local elementary school. Vinson Jones, magnet coordinator at Plantation Elementary, notes that the school, about one block west of State Road 7, is in a low-income neighborhood and students’ families often don’t have much to spend on

discretionary items such as those offered in the school store. “One child bought a small Christmas tree,” Jones said. “He said that would be the main tree for his family’s holiday season.” Donations of gift cards to Dollar Tree or Target, or checks payable to GFWC Plantation Woman’s Club, are greatly appreciated and would help stock the store. Donations can be sent to GFWC Plantation Woman’s Club, PO Box 16845, Plantation, FL 33318-6845. n For additional information about the “Tiger Bucks” store, please contact Project Chair Judy McLeod at 954-439-1492. For membership information about GFWC Plantation Woman’s Club, please contact Membership Chair Helen Ackerman at 954-791-6373.

Impingement Syndromes in Dancers BY DR. JOHN GOODNER

P

ain in the front or back of the ankle can occur from a dancer standing “en point” or “demi point.” Pain behind the ankle is due to a bone prominence that pinches the soft tissue or due to a fractured bone or cartilage in the back of the ankle (Os Trigonum). A deep pain in the back of the ankle is felt and is made worse if the foot points down. Treatment includes rest, physical therapy and anti-inflammatory medication. If the pain does not improve, a Cortisone injection is given to decrease inflammation and scar tissue. Unresolved pain may be treated surgically, thus allowing a full return to dance. The back of the ankle is cleaned out and a small piece of bone may be removed with arthroscopic surgery to allow the dancer to return to full activity. Rarely an open procedure is needed. Pain in the front of the ankle is usually caused by thickening of the ankle joint lining and can cause pain while moving the leg forward on the foot. This impingement syndrome is usually associated with an ankle ligament injury and can become very painful, especially the first thing in the morning when getting out of bed to walk or after sitting for a short period of time and getting up to walk. The inflammation and soreness usually lessen with activity but return later on in the day. Physical therapy and a short course of anti-inflammatory medication may be necessary to reduce the inflammation in the ankle joint. If that does not improve, a Fluoroscopic Guided Cortisone injection may be necessary to reduce the thickening of the soft tissue. If conservative measures fail, a Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injection can be given into the joint to improve

healing potential. In some cases, the impingement in the front part of the ankle does not improve and arthroscopic surgery may be necessary to completely regain ankle mobility without discomfort. In some cases, a small spur is present on the front part of the lower leg bone. This can cause chronic pain and stiffness in the ankle. If present, arthroscopic removal of the bone spur is also performed to allow the dancer to resume activity. Prognosis is excellent with full return to dancing with proper treatment. LEGALLY SPEAKING

Yours, Mine and Ours BY BRUCE IDEN, ESQUIRE sad fact is that the average marriage lasts only seven years, with one out of two marriages ending in divorce. As over seventy-five percent of divorced individuals eventually choose to remarry, blended families now outnumber traditional nuclear families. And while this family dynamic has become the new normal, it’s a far cry from what was portrayed on the classic television series, “The Brady Bunch.” If you are part of a blended family, you face some unique estate planning challenges. These include providing for your current spouse if he or she survives you, and making sure that when your spouse dies your children will be taken care of. Family relationships may change dramatically after the first spouse dies and what the surviving spouse does with his or her assets can often be unpredictable. Let’s review just a few possible estate planning options. Your spouse. A simple, albeit not wise, approach would be to leave everything to your spouse. As your spouse adores your children, you have no doubt that he/ she will always take care of your children, right? Realistically, this approach might end up totally disinheriting your own children! Consider this. If your spouse becomes incapacitated it is very likely that your spouse’s children will take over the financial affairs of the family. You don’t need a vivid imagination

A

to see how that might turn into a disaster. What happens when your spouse dies? Or remarries? Your assets may ultimately be inherited by your stepchildren, or even by the person who marries your spouse. Proper legal planning can avoid these pitfalls. Your children. Another solution is to leave assets to your children. Of course, this guarantees that your children will not be disinherited, but this path may also lead to unintended consequences. Leaving assets outright to your children opens up a wide range of concerns, including the possibility that they may squander their inheritance by spending or investing unwisely, or lose most or all in a nasty divorce, an untimely lawsuit, or through bankruptcy. Even if your children are adults, shouldn’t you still consider protecting them from future creditors and predators? Your ex-spouse. You probably don’t consider your ex, but your former spouse does play a role in your estate planning. Think about it. If you leave money to your minor children, it is likely that your ex-spouse will be appointed by the probate court to manage your children’s property. What happens if a child dies while single and childless? Who would inherit their assets? As the next-of-kin of your children, that individual can be your ex-wife or ex-husband! Planning effectively for a blended family requires creativity and experience. Consult with an estate planning professional to formulate a plan that is right for you and your family. Life can change in an instant. What are you waiting for? Bruce Iden earned his J.D. from George Washington University National Law Center and his L.L.M in taxation from the University of Miami School of Law. MAYOR’S MESSAGE

So Much Love in Plantation BY MAYOR LYNN STONER hen we think of February, we think of chocolates, roses, and romantic dates with your loved ones. But there is so much more to celebrate and honor in the second month of the year. It is also Black History Month, an annual celebration recognizing the central role played by African Americans in US History. It began in 1925 as a weeklong event to raise awareness of African Americans’ contributions to civilization. The observance was expanded to a month by President Gerald R. Ford in 1976, as part of the Country’s bicentennial celebration. Ever since, every US President has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month, and several other countries, including Canada and the United Kingdom, have followed suit. For more information, visit Africanamericanhistorymonth.gov. Love thy neighbor! One of the best things about the City of Plantation is the hometown feel it’s been able to retain despite its growth and expansion. Neighbors helping neighbors – a large volunteer base that complements the governmental structure – has been a contributing factor to Plantation’s success. The City’s PAL athletic league is made of up hundreds of volunteers who come together to ensure our children have a safe, well-organized, and fun place to play their favorite sport. And the Plantation Fire Department is the largest volunteer fire department in the State of Florida and with its ISO Rating of 2, ranks among the top departments which means your neighbors and your friends are there when you need them the most! Civic organizations, businesses, and individuals dedicate a considerable amount of time and energy to community activities and programs such as youth athletic leagues, charity events, neighborhood improvement initiatives, and protective services. It’s this spirit of cooperation and generosity toward our neighbor that has made Plantation a premier City in Broward County, and all of South Florida. And a place we all love to call home! The Census is Coming! Make Plantation Count Since 1790, the U.S. Census Bureau has conducted a census every ten years to determine the number of people living in the United States, as required by the U.S. Constitution. The City has officially kicked off the 2020 Census campaign, in which all Plantation residents are strongly encouraged to participate. We need your help to achieve a complete count in Plantation for Census 2020. It is not only our civic duty and required by law, but your participation affects the amount of funding our community receives and our representation in government. Participating in the Census is easy, safe and confidential, and only takes a few minutes. You can complete it via mail, phone, or – for the first time ever – online at Census.gov. By law, the information cannot be shared with anyone, including law enforcement, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, or the Internal Revenue Service. ASK THE EXPERT

What is the Pap Smear Test? BY CAMIL MARRERO MD, MPH, FACOG he Pap smear or Pap test is a procedure to screen for cervical cancer in women older than 21 years old. The procedure is typically quick and painless as a patient will be instructed to lay down on a gynecological bed in the physician’s office. An instrument called a speculum will be used to view the cervix and then the Pap smear is done by using a small brush to collect cells from the cervix. Detecting early cervical cancer with a Pap smear gives a patient a greater chance of cure. A Pap smear can detect changes in the cervical cells that may suggest that cancer can develop in the future or it can detect cancer cells. Detecting these abnormal cells early with a Pap smear is the first step to prevent the possible development of cervical cancer. In women older than 30 years old, the Pap smear may be combined with a test to detect for human papillomavirus (HPV) which is a common sexually transmitted infection that can cause cervical cancer. In some cases, the HPV test may be done instead of a Pap smear. The American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP) generally recommends repeating Pap testing every three years for women ages 21 to 65 if results are normal. In patients 30 years and older in which the pap smear was normal the Pap smear test can be done every five years if the procedure is combined with testing for HPV. It is important to understand that if you have certain risk factors, your doctor may recommend more frequent Pap smears, regardless of your age. These risk factors include a diagnosis of cervical cancer or a Pap smear that showed precancerous cells, exposure to diethylstilbestrol (DES) before birth, HIV infection, a weakened immune system due to an organ transplant, chemotherapy or chronic corticosteroid use, or a history of smoking. The pap smear test can be discontinued in some patients depending on the clinical situation. These would include patients after a total hysterectomy for a noncancerous condition, such as uterine fibroids, also in patients older than 65 years old if previous tests for cervical cancer with HPV have been always negative. It is important to understand that if your hysterectomy was for a precancerous or cancerous condition of the cervix, your doctor may recommend continuing routine Pap smear testing. The patient and her physician should discuss the options and together it can be decided what’s best based on each individual’s risk factors. If it’s time for your pap smear test, call your doctor’s office to schedule your appointment.

Less invasive option for valve disease treatment offers benefit with fewer risks Aortic valve stenosis is one of the most common and serious conditions affecting the heart’s valves. It Robert J. Cubeddu, MD is a narrowing of the aortic valve opening, which is the passage for oxygen-rich blood to leave the heart and go out into the body. When the valve opening is narrowed, the flow of this blood is blocked or reduced. This condition is most common in people 65 or older, severely affecting nearly 500,000 people in the United States each year. It can cause shortness of breath, chest pain, congestive heart failure, and, ultimately, death if left untreated. A revolutionary approach to treatment Replacing the diseased valve is the standard treatment for most patients with aortic stenosis. Until recently, however, the replacement had to be done through a surgical procedure in which the patient’s chest was opened in order to access the heart. In recent years, the transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) procedure has revolutionized treatment for aortic stenosis. It is minimally invasive, allowing the surgeon to replace the valve through a catheter placed in the femoral

artery, which runs up the thigh, through the abdomen and to the heart. A multitude of studies have shown TAVR to be a safe and effective alternative to traditional valve replacement, offering patients minimal risk and discomfort, a shorter hospital stay (usually only one or two days vs. five to seven days with the open procedure), and a prompt recovery. “Aortic stenosis is a condition that offers a malignant course. As with open heart surgery, this procedure cures the condition,” says Robert J. Cubeddu, MD, Chairman of Cardiovascular Medicine and Section Head for Structural Heart Disease at Cleveland Clinic Florida’s Tomsich Heart and Vascular Center, “Many centers offer TAVR but our team has tremendous expertise and experience in this type of treatment.” Specialists in Cleveland Clinic Florida’s Heart and Vascular Center have more than 10 years of experience with TAVR procedures and the center performs among the highest volume of implants in the state of Florida. Our experience in TAVR and our expertise in structural heart disease translate to the best possible outcomes for our patients.
