Brentford Festival 2019 You can forget the geographic boundaries; you need not ask why the Brentford Festival takes place in an Ealing park but be assured that after two years since the last event the organising committee of volunteers are excited to be planning for Brentfest22 which will take place on Sunday 4th September from 12 to 6pm in Blondin Park. The layout of the event will look different this year, particularly because in 2018 we started fundraising for a community building in the central sports area and in 2021 we were able to deliver the promise. Although the building has been open for a year as a venue for parties, exercise classes and a café run by volunteers, on the day of the festival it will be the must-go-to refreshment hut. CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) will have their own space. Next to them the Blondin Consortium will be selling canned drinks including beers and lager and there will also be a table selling Pimms. The café will be working their way through the coffee beans and serving home-made cakes and sandwiches. The live bands, selected in 2020 only to be disappointed by lockdown, will now have their chance to perform. The music mix will include The Thrillers, Republic of Brentford, W3 DTour, The Bats of Ealing, Near Death Experience and Angela Richardson. Also in the pavilion local community groups will be showing off what they have learnt in classes. As in previous year the organisers are planning a dog show, with Kennel Club rules, stalls and activities for children.
