Our food truck story starts back in 2021.... Our family, who have lived in the local area of Surrey our whole lives, decided to embark on an adventure into creating our dream catering/food truck business. Food has always been loved in our home and is a great passion of ours. We would spend time as a family going out trying new foods, travelling to food markets and food festivals. At home we were always looking for excuses to cook for others and help cater for family and friends events & special occasions. We loved creating and designing our own family recipes and loved creating amazing memories centered around food.

CHRISTMAS WREATHS

Christmas WREATHS

The Christmas wreath is traditionally hung on doors and walls during the holiday season, representing warmth, festivity, and the spirit of celebration.

Creating a beautiful Christmas wreath is a festive and creative holiday activity. Here are some ideas to get you started: 1. Gather Materials: You’ll need a wreath base

(typically made of wire or foam), greenery (real or artificial), wire cutters, floral wire, and decorative elements like ornaments, ribbons, pinecones, and berries.

2. Choose a Theme: Decide on a theme or colour scheme for your wreath. Traditional red and green, rustic, modern, or even a specific theme like “winter wonderland.”

7. Add Ribbon: Weave a festive ribbon through the wreath or create a bow to hang at the top.

8. Personalise It: Consider adding personalised

touches like family initials, small photos, or even miniature stockings.

9. Securely Hang: Attach a wire or ribbon loop to the back for hanging.

10. Final Touches: Step back, assess your wreath,

and make any necessary adjustments to achieve the desired look.

3. Prepare the Greenery: Trim the greenery into

smaller sections, leaving enough stem to attach them securely to the wreath base.

11. Hang and Enjoy: Hang your wreath on your

to the wreath base using floral wire. Layer the branches, ensuring full coverage.

12. Maintenance: If using real greenery, mist your

front door, above the fireplace, or anywhere else you’d like to add a touch of festive cheer.

4. Attach the Greenery: Start attaching the greenery 5. Add Decorations: Incorporate ornaments,

pinecones, berries, or other decorative elements. Attach them securely using wire or hot glue.

6. Create a Focal Point: Place a larger ornament or bow in the centre of the wreath as a focal point.

BIRCHGROVE

BIRCHGROVE: A MANAGEABLE HOME THAT FITS AROUND YOU

Assisted living has been a popular lifestyle choice for many years, and it’s not hard to see why. Security, freedom, new friends and a fresh start are all enticing reasons to make the move. Although it can be a little daunting, there are numerous reasons why living in a self-contained assisted living apartment is such a positive experience for so many. A large family home with too many rooms unused, not to mention the garden to maintain. Space that isn’t really needed any more can be a big headache to keep up with, making a self-contained assisted living apartment option very appealing. Not only does it mean less hassle with maintenance, but it can free up some cash too. No worries about paying a cleaner or a gardener - just more time and money to enjoy the things you love. The specialist developer of contemporary retirement properties, Birchgrove, offers modern apartments in Kent and Surrey. All of the apartments are spacious, designed in a contemporary style with all the modcons you’d expect. Many also come with private patios and balconies. Location is a top priority too, with the communities built close to amenities and shops, as well as plenty of places to walk and with good transport links. Being part of a community

Loneliness and isolation can be devastating to our mental and physical health, especially as we get older. But when you move to a Birchgrove retirement

community there’s so many opportunities to make new friends and settle into community life. And with all sorts of stimulating activities on offer, including fitness and activity sessions, movie nights, guided walks, bridge and gardening clubs, singing and crafts there really is something for everyone. All Birchgrove retirement communities include an onsite restaurant, Club room, snug bar, wellness suite, landscaped gardens and much more. The chance to live somewhere new

Unlike most other assisted living developments, Birchgrove offers the benefits of independent living, whilst removing the complications of home ownership. Each apartment is individually designed to maximise space and light and has the Birchgrove trademark of high-quality finishes so that the apartments are distinctly elegant. For those needing a little extra assistance, tailored care or support is offered through its homecare partners, who have been carefully selected due for their commitment to providing high quality care and support. The possibilities are endless…

If you would like to find out more about living at a Birchgrove retirement community our helpful advisors will happily answer your questions. CHRISTMAS RECIPE

BRIE & CRANBERRY

Wreath

Golden, flaky pastry shaped into a wreath and filled with delicious brie cheese, tangy cranberry sauce and fresh basil leaves. INGREDIENTS

METHOD

• 125g brie, sliced

2. Place a large piece of baking paper on your worktop then place your sheet of puff pastry on top.

• 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed • 100g cranberry sauce • Handful of basil • 1 egg, whisked

NOTES

Pastry: To achieve the golden flakiness, puff pastry works best in this recipe. Gluten free puff pastry can be used! Brie: Most soft white cheeses will work in this recipe such as camembert. Basil: Fresh basil leaves offer a lovely contrast to the sweet cranberry sauce and creamy cheese.

1. Preheat oven to 180°C fan.

3. Take a small bowl and press it down in the centre of the pastry to make a mark. 4. Remove the bowl, then in the centre of the circle, make 4 cuts as if cutting a pizza into 8 pieces. 5. In a wreath shape, around this circle, spread the cranberry sauce. Layer up the sliced brie and basil on top of the sauce. 6. Take one piece of pastry from the centre, over the top of the filling and connect in with the edge of the wreath. Press down to seal. Repeat until the wreath is fully formed, cutting off corner pieces of pastry if necessary. 7. Brush the pastry with the whisked egg. 8. Place the wreath and baking paper on a baking tray then bake for 25 minutes or until golden and cooked through. 9. Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before cutting into pieces.

SEATON HOUSE SCHOOL

SEATON HOUSE SCHOOL

Seaton House is an incredibly special place with a family environment created by everyone working together with one single aim; to support our children and help them to become the very best version of themselves! Recently awarded the Wellbeing Award for Schools, our assessor reported “this is genuinely a community where everyone knows everyone else, cares about their wellbeing and notices when people need support and are willing to offer it”. Courtesy and kindness are expected as the norm and our exceptional team of staff encourage our girls to develop initiative, independence, resilience and confidence. Seaton House is currently ranked 2nd in the Sunday Times Top 100 Prep School in England and it is no coincidence that our girls leave us to attend the very best schools in the area with many girls receiving multiple school offers. Specialist teachers provide creative and innovative

teaching to students across the school and outstanding academic results are achieved yearon-year. Our most recent ISI inspection found us ‘Excellent’ across all areas.

Fees are very competitive as reported by £/ Schoolsmith Score, who stated that we “offer the best value for money” of Prep schools in Sutton. 15 hours Early Years funding can be accepted in Nursery. Being a small school with just 20 girls per class, our staff will get to know every child individually, learning their strengths and challenges to ensure every child thrives in all areas of school life. Wraparound care operates from 7.30am – 6pm and an in-house holiday club runs in the major holidays. A wide-ranging choice of extra-curricular clubs are offered on a daily basis. To best understand what a friendly, caring and vibrant school we are, come and meet us and let our pupils tell you themselves what makes us so special.

GIRLS’ PREPARATORY SCHOOL - SUTTON

Great News!

93% of our year 6 girls who sat the 11+ were offered a grammar school place, as well as receiving scholarships from leading independent schools. To book a tour of the school or for any other enquiries, call our Admissions Team on:
