Interview by AIESEC member
• Can I choose certain country so I can travel around? The aim of joining the Global Youth Ambassador Program is to develop one’s leadership potential and generate positive impact to individuals and the society around him/her. Therefore country destinations would not be the main focus as experience is instead. You can travel around only after the internship ended. • Can I ask for sponsorship to cover the expenses? AIESEC does not provide any sponsorship and is not responsible for departure cancellation due to sponsorship matters. Once you have committed to go for Global Youth Ambassador Program you can not cancel the plan or else you will have to pay for break match fee.
• Is it possible for me to go for the same project with my bestfriend/ cousin, etc? There are many projects available in most AIESEC countries, & a project may require several interns from different countries. While there might be room for more than one intern in one project, it is still a large competition among applicants to get internships. So we encourage applicants to be as open-minded as possible in choosing their preferred internships. • Can I have my administration fee refunded? AIESEC administration fee are not refundable. If you have paid for the fee and you cancel your plan to go exchange, the fee will not be refunded but you are still be able to go exchange within 12 months. If you’re not departing within 12 months your exchange contract will be terminated.
Dhea Nazmi Rifa “I went to Poland as an exchange participant for international kindergarten project. The project is about teaching and showing diversity to kindergarten students. One of the best part of this exchange is friendship. I’ve never imagined I can build great friendship with people from all over the world. I met people with different cultures and region. This 6 weeks is a life changing experience for me”
Ninis Wulandari “ I got to teach primary school students in China and it was wonderful. The kids really appreciated my lessons and actually learned from it. I’m also blessed to be given such opportunity to meet and teach them. Going abroad through AIESEC really gave me the best time ever. I got new experiences, new friends, and the chancce to give impact to society.”
