CONTENT of BOOKLET This Visa Booklet was made based on the initiative of oGCDP AIESEC Indonesia 1415 in order to help the upcoming EPs, EP Managers, VPs and all related party in terms of visa making. The content is made based on the task given to the LCs, so it’s quite reliable. (Thanks to all LCs that help a lot in the process) AP Visa Booklet is the second version of the Visa Booklet, after CEE Visa Booklet and soon MENA Visa Booklet. The Booklet is consist of the type of Visa that the EPs usually make for AIESEC Programs, the flow, process also useful tips and trick from EP Returnees. VISA PROCESS 1. The F Visa in China is extremely hard to get, you need to make sure that the AIESEC have a proper Invitation Letter and need to be sent to Indonesia. And it needs a long time, beside they said that making F Visa for an EP AIESEC is almost impossible . In my case, I make an L visa cause its more easier, didn’t need many documents, and very convenient. You just need • round trip plane ticket • hotel booking, passport • fill the form (they handed to you.) Because the L Visa only provided 30 days max. per each visit, so I need to get a visa for a multiple times entries and each entry will give me 30 days of staying permit.
and I need to go out from Mainland China such as to Hong Kong or Macau then coming back again and my Visa will be extended automatically. 2. They will checked all your documents. Each Visa has a different price based on how much entry you want and how long the Visa will be done (they have an express one, only one day and done, and the normal one 4-7 days) 3. They will contact you once the visa is ready.

Tips & Tricks 1. Prepare visa 2 months before departure. So you can also buy ticket long before you leave to get cheaper one. 2. List all documents needed 3. Go to travel agent for faster and easier visa process. I even pay less (visa making fee) than my friend who went to embassy.

VISA F PROCESS 1. Make sure you have all the documents needed. Go to the Chinese Visa Centre. It’s not the embassy because a lot of people are applying for Chinese visas. 2. For an F visa, you need proof of accommodation and invitation letter (sent via post or something with real stamps from the organization or school), and also your itinerary, 4x6 colored photos with white background. 3. For China, you can only apply for a 30-day visa unless you have a duly(?) from China government.
4. It takes 4 working days to get the visa. 5. If it’s not accepted, you still need to pay for the service fee for IDR 240.000. 6. The visa itself costs IDR 300.000. Check your visa thoroughly before leaving the Visa Centre

VISA Extenstion PROCESS 1. Make sure you have copies of all your documents (invitation letter, proof of accommodation). It’s better if you scan it to your computer and print out a few copies. 2. Go to a visa-applying centre with the school officers. Fill a form for visa extension. 3. When we were trying to extend our visa in Hangzhou, the forms were not accepted because they said that the school officers were needed. 4. Then the school agreed to help us extend our visas after the project was done.
5. You need to fill the form and take a photo. And submit all of the documents needed. We took hours because we needed to wait for a teacher in charge to bring a kind of legal proof of the school. 6. We need to wait 7 working days to get the visa. 7. Before you take your visa, you have to pay CNY 160 per person. And you can get the visa.

Apply it online first and attach it with the documents needed. After that, you have to go to TETO to give all the documents needed and make sure that you bring your original documents. • Online Visa Application Form • TN AN and EP AN • Passport • Family Card (Kartu Keluarga) • Identity Card • Letter of recommendation from the Dean of your university • Prepare Rp 600.000,- to apply for the visa If your LC is not located in your origin university, then you have to bring letter of recommendation from the Dean of your faculty, and also don’t forget to bring your TN AN After all the documents are ready, then you have to give it to TETO, and wait at least 4 days of work until your visa is done.

ASEAN Countries
DESCRIPTION Basically as the part of ASEAN community, we has a free pass entry to any country in ASEAN for 30 days. But since our program required minimum duration for the program is 6 weeks (+/- 42 days), mean that we had to make specific visa for our special purpose which is doing social/cultural project. Here in this booklet, shared the various experience from the EP Returnees that have gone to the ASEAN countries. Some make the proper visa (based on the purpose), some make visa on arrival, and there are also some of them that just get into one country and go out for some days so that they could extend the visa. Just choose any ways that comfortable for you. From AIESEC Indonesia side, we suggest you to have official permit for staying minimum 6 weeks based on the project durations. 27
The Philippines
VISA PROCEDURE Visa Type: tourist VISA

Fill the application form type A2 on the website (http://philembjkt.com) and check the documents needed before going to embassy • Passport • copied of passport • flight tickets • EPPA • acceptance note or Invitation Letter 2. After you have finished completing the application form, then you need to make a call to General Consulate Office addressing that you want to apply for Philippine VISA and make appointment. 3. Go to the General Consulate for submission, interview and payment (Rp 390.000,-). The interview questions are just common question to ensure your purpose. 4. It will take about 3 days until your visa is ready

Tips & Tricks Prepare you visa at least 3 weeks before you go to Philippines. Check the open hours and the rest time of the consulate. Prepare all the things you need (check in http://philembjkt.com). You can’t make visa if you don’t have fllight ticket for round trip. Make sure you have your flight ticket to get back to Indonesia.

Make sure you keep the visa booking script and submit with your documents and check the documents needed before your departure: • copied of passport • photo • acceptance note or Invitation Letter 4. The visa booking script will ready in 2-3 days 5. Keep your visa script and find the visa on arrival booth on Vietnam airport. Show your visa booking script and documents to get visa stamp. 6 32

First of all, you need to go to the Vietnam Embassy in Jakarta and bring these documents: a) Passport; b) 2 Passport-Size Photos. After that, you need to tell the officer that you’re going to apply for Vietnam VISA. Before they can proceed your VISA, you need to pay for about US$ 90 to the officer. But the fee might be higher or lower depending on the changing policy so you need to make a call to embassy office. After you have paid the money, they will be working on your VISA. It will take for about 4-5 working days until you can get your Vietnam VISA. 6 34

Before you applying for Thailand VISA, you need to fill in an application form. Make sure that you have written the right information and please check your application form one more time. Go to Thailand Embassy and bring all documents that are needed to apply for Thailand VISA (passport, 3 copies of application form, invitation letter, 3 photos size 4x6). Ask the officer that you want to apply for Thailand VISA. The fee for the VISA making process is around IDR 1,200,000.- It might be lower or higher according to the current currency so please call the embassy before you applying for this VISA. After that, you need to wait for about 3 days for your VISA to be granted. And then, you can get your Thailand VISA.

Tips & Tricks 1. Please prepare all the documents needed before you going to the embassy. This to prevent future problem regarding invalid documents. 2. If Jakarta is too far for you, there’s another alternative: You can go to General Consulate of Thailand office in Surabaya. You can search on the internet.

Then, you have to fill and complete the form that provided by the embassy. If all of your documents are accepted, you have to pay the fee, and wait at least 1-3 working days for the process. They will give you a receipt as for the payment prove. Then keep the receipt, and show it when you want to take your visa.
