Kether Donohue PHOTOGRAPHY MAARTEN DE BOER
Kether Donohue is the ultimate triple-threat. She can sing, she can act, and she's one of the funniest women in Hollywood. BELLO had the chance to catch up with Kether by phone where the 31-year-old entertainer: gives us a glimpse of what we can expect from her character Lindsay in the upcoming season of You're The Worst, tells us what she would do if she could create her own TV series, and recounts the story of one improv moment she had on stage with a tube of lipstick that changed her experience with performing forever. by Brent Lambert @FEELguide
"He would give these incredible speeches almost everyday during rehearsals," gushes Kether when we asked her what it was like to work with director Thomas Kail (Broadway's HAMILTON) on the Grease Live! TV special back in 2016. "The dedication and devotion he has to leadership is something I've never seen before, and he is always working hard to perfect his craft." She adds, "He genuinely cares about his whole team, and in one of his speeches, for example, he described us as being a garden which we water together each day. He really respects and trusts actors' instincts, and he's an excellent listener and collaborator." Collaborations are nothing new for Kether. After all, her impressive 20-year career has been filled with them. But it's her role as Lindsay on the FXX comedy, You're The Worst, that is closest to her heart right now. Lindsay has made fumble after fumble on her road to becoming a functioning adult, but is this brand new fourth season going to be the one that finally gets her on track? "Lindsay has an awesome journey this year," Kether tells us. "Just like in real life, sometimes it has to get worse before it gets better -- you have to reach the worst parts of yourself before you realize you need to change, and I think this is what's happening to Lindsay right now. She's realizing she doesn't want the life that she's created for herself. In season four she's really beginning to start her own life and experience autonomy for the first time. We've never seen her do this before, so things are on an upswing. She has a job, lives in her own place, and isn't dependent on Paul. I'm excited for her." Excitement is a big part of Kether's own life these days as well. We asked her if she has any pet projects of her own in the works, and that's when the conversation turned towards her dream of one day becoming a
19
director herself. Showrunner and YTW creator, Stephen Falk, may have inadvertently accelerated this dream for Kether a couple of years ago when he asked her to take part in his live storytelling show that he organizes at the Virgil, a 1920s saloon and and comedy club here in LA. For each show, Falk invites around seven or eight storytellers to perform a ten-minute story in front of the live audience, and Kether tells us when she performed her own, something unexpected happened.
logue. That lipstick moment completely took over and stole the show. I could never have planned it, and the audience loved it. I love those moments that you can't plan -- it's a gift to the scene, and it's an opportunity." To test her improv skills, BELLO put Kether through the 'Career Blender Challenge': take three of your favorite shows, mash them together, and come up with a brand new series where you would have the lead role. "Shark Tank is my favorite show -- I love it," she says. "I also love The Handmaid's Tale, and I love Big Little Lies, too. So I would call it The Handmaid's Big Little Tank." So who exactly would she play in this original new mashup series? "I would play Ann Dowd's character, and she would put these men in their place [Dowd portrays Aunt Lydia, the vicious instructor and guardian of the Handmaids]. We would throw men in a tank, punish them for their wrongdoings, sentence them, and bring justice [laughing]!"
"That night the theme was 'Bruised Pride, Out of Control Ego, and Tarnished Reputation.' So I told a story that was a very vulnerable one about myself that I had never shared with anyone before. The response from the audience was remarkable, and many of them came up to me afterwards to say they related to my experience." That reaction led Kether to the idea of turning the story into something much bigger. "It's a story that I loved telling out loud, and I think it could have a life of its own outside that experience. I think it could make an interesting short film, and I would love to Being a Hollywood veteran, yet still being direct it." so young herself, means Kether has many It's this kind of instinct that drives all great young girls out there watching her every performers. And with such a terrific career move, and dreaming of how they, too, can under her belt -- both on stage and in front make it in showbiz just like her. We asked of the camera -- I asked Kether if there Kether what advice she would give them. was any one moment in particular where "I'd tell them to be excited about the 'lipshe recalls feeling the most 'in the now' stick moments,' embrace the failures and as an actress. "I remember doing an off- rejections, and just enjoy this really wild off Broadway show in which I had a really ride. One night my lipstick broke off and it started rolling You're The Worst airs Wednesdays at 10pm everywhere." It was a moment that might ET on FXX. have sent some actors off the rails, but for Kether it was nothing off the sort. THE RED CARPET WAY TO GET READY AT HOME by Grace Phillips @grace_phillips
As a working makeup artist for celebrities I sometimes have to get my clients ready in a hurry. I might only have 20 or 30 minutes for a red carpet look. And part of that time I will always dedicate to skin prep. If the skin is looking amazing underneath, you might only need to apply some mascara, a red lip, a little concealer, or a winged liner to finish off a flawless look that people will love. I’ve been looking into products that work quickly but have active ingredients that will make the skin the perfect base for quick and easy makeup, but you look like you are walking on the glam carpet. Most women don’t have time to do a 2 hr makeup routine every day, and so here are some great finds that you can use while doing your morning routine and you don’t have to sacrifice your beauty sleep, or that cup of coffee that might ruin your perfectly applied lipstick.
Fiona Stiles Brow Sculpting Wax $16 Created by industry makeup artist Fiona Stiles, who has worked with such A-list clients as Halle Berry, Lilly Collins, Gabrielle Union, Elizabeth Banks, and Jennifer Garner. this amazing product will hold your brows in place but also add a touch of color that can fill in sparse spaces. If you need a brow fix, quickly run the spoolie thru your brows and there you go!
Caudalie Beauty Elixir $49
Legendary cult product that I’ve seen in just about every makeup artist’s kit, it’s the perfect beauty enhancing mist, a complexion treatment that instantly hydrates the skin and everyone loves the smell to boost. I double-team my routine by spraying this first, and then applying a serum or moisturizer immediately to absorb right into the damp skin. Equal Beauty Moisture Veil Face Mask $114.95 (pack of 5) Created by model Jessica Gomes, Equal Beauty was started with a focus on hydration and protection. It’s a fragrance-free line with only 5 products, but they are crafted with thought in mind to help improve the skin’s overall texture and appearance. The mask stands out to me because it’s thoughtful feature of including ear attachments allows the mask to fully absorb into the face and the benefits of the mask aren’t lost to the wearers impatience of their daily rituals. You can move around and take care of your morning or evening routines without having to sit still for 10-20 minutes and wait on your mask to dry.

Babor Glow Booster Ampoules $109 (pack of 14) This Glow Booster does just that. If you are looking for that extra push of radiance that also turns your skin baby booty soft, look no further. I’ve been obsessing over this product for clients on the red carpet because it has change my skincare routine for them. It instantly adds a glow and leaves the skin feeling smooth and velvety. I like using it after all my serums and moisturizers, and makes foundation apply like no other. It’s definitely a new kit staples of mine, for how quickly it changes the skin to look instantly amazing.
Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Cleansing Balm $34 And for those of you who like to take their makeup off at the end of the day with one fell swoop, and your face is left feeling supple and soft and hydrated. I can’t get over the Farmacy brand’s Green Clean. I can use it between jobs on looks or if my model gets irritated by harsh toners, it’s the best thing on the market. It also smells divine, and since it’s a balm, it can be travel friendly. Skincare doesn’t stop at putting things on the skin, you also need great products to remove all the makeup at the end as well.
Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel $52 May Lindstrom Blue Cocoon $180 It’s a little pricey, yes, but this blue balm that melts with body heat could be the only product you need to add to your face if you are very dry and dehydrated. Can be a little too greasy for anyone with combo skin, but if you plan on going out bare-faced, I highly recommend slathering on a tiny amount rubbing into your palms and letting the product just love your skin. Trust me.
I’m sure you’ve already heard about this brand, whether it be just for the catchy name, or one of your friends is raving about their skincare. And after finally getting to try a few products, I can say I want to thoroughly add B-Hydra to my kit. One of the quickest acting and best feeling moisturizers I have used in a long while. It doesn’t immediately evaporate into the face like some of those moisturizers out there, and it leaves behind the best feeling touch your face (but don’t touch your face) lushness to the skin. I’m also into their Babyfacial really hard, but it’s a good sit down and wait at least 20 minutes to let it work properly, so that doesn’t work for a quick “red carpet” type skincare routine. But this line is showing it’s not all hype and cute packaging, but products that are actually quite impactful in their effectiveness and quality.
I always recommend for any skincare product to go out, and get samples, try and see what works for you, because we are not all created equal and skin is definitely a picky beast. These products I feel hardcore love for because they took me by surprise for their quick work tendencies and effectiveness, and as a working makeup artist, I will always love what cuts my time in half without sacrificing quality. They may also be great for you, so you can get in one more snooze button, or even coming from that early morning workout class.

5 Fall/Winter 2017 Must-Haves for Men by Peter Minkoff @minkoffpeter In the face of the fashion recycling trend that seems to have been on steroids these last few years (yes, we are talking about the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘90s throwback), it is kind of expected that we’ll be seeing a lot of “old” vibes paired with the ultimate modern cuts and trends launched by some of the top brands. Really, even though this retro mania can sometimes be way over the top, in essence – it does make for a beautifully paired feeling of nostalgia and excitement for all that’s new. This fall/winter, trends are supporting the recycling fashion method, by showcasing pretty much all that’s gorgeous in the men’s department of winter-wear. From overcoats, suits and coats, to hats, turtlenecks and plush pants – there’s something for everyone, indeed.
THE EXPLORER JACKET Prada
Although fur and shearling aren’t actually everyone’s cup of tea, they tend to look incredible on a classic coat. The point of these accessories? To give a somewhat regular coat an extra pop. Usually, a true statement coat is done in tapestry-like fabrics and luxurious textures, in a range of inky colors you’ll adore. If you are not someone who can pull off an elaborate brocade, opt for a topcoat with one or two standout details (cool buttons, an interesting color, quirky lining, etc.) and wear it in style.
Although you may have an aptitude and appreciation for pieces that have a little retro feel to them, you are a modern man living a very fast life. With that in mind, your utility jacket must be as functional as it is stunning. Decorated (we’re using the term decorated loosely here) with as many pockets as possible, potentially lined with shearling, the Explorer Jacket is a beautiful piece of clothing that will serve you well this fall. These types of jackets are not only cozy and warm, they’ve got an attitude about them that will make a difference to your entire appearance. Plus, this type of jacket is very classic, but the modern version of it makes it very functional for the modern man; it’s made from high-tech fabrics resistant to the elements, but fashionable enough to make a difference. You may have heard them listed as Field Jackets or Territory Coats, so don’t be alarmed if our name for it didn’t ring a bell at first.
THE STATEMENT COAT John Varvatos

We know what you are thinking: Daniel Craig in his finest winter edition – and, we agree. A turtleneck has had a very powerful comeback with almost the entire male Hollywood populous going crazy over it – from young style icons like Zayn Malik to veterans like Bradley Cooper, Justin Timberlake, George Clooney and plenty of others, everyone seems to wear them. The modern twist? Paired with plain or multicolor, oversized or snug bottoms, whether they are a lightweight knit or a heavy texture. Oh, just a random hot tip: a fine, black Italian wool turtleneck paired with any of your custom suits will have women swooning!
THE TURTLENECK Robert Geller
If you are old enough to remember those extreme knits from the ‘80s, you know what your next thing to purchase is. The truth is, they don’t look good on everyone; a leaner physique is required for this slouchy thing to work and an attitude that kills the potentially “old” vibe of it. Opt for monochromatic tones with attractive details like oversized buttons or front “glove pockets” that should add some youth to it.
THE SLOUCHY SWEATER Ann Demeulemeester
THE PLEATED PANT
Yet another retro piece making a comeback, and once again – not a piece everyone can pull off. Still, as modernized as they are, they won’t trigger a grandpa moment in your head as the pant now has only a couple reverse pleats. Try to wear them with an ultra-modern top for a younger feel.

With season three of WAGS set to premiere on E! on November 1st, we wanted to touch base with one of its biggest stars. In the world of reality television, Nicole Williams is the ultimate triple threat. She has the beauty, the brains and the business acumen that make other reality stars pale in comparison. BELLO had the chance to talk with Nicole about her growing business empire of jewelry, swimwear, and body scrubs, as well as her recent marriage to former NFL player Larry English. by Brent Lambert @FEELguide
Congratulations on your wedding! As WAGS fans know very well, your proposal from Larry capped off the season finale of season two last fall. Now that the show is back for season three starting November 1st, will the wedding make up most of episode one, or will it appear later on in the season? Wedding planning will be playing a big part of season three most definitely, but it’s very spread out throughout the episodes! I can’t give too much away right now but you’ll have to just watch on Nov 1st! You're an accomplished jewelry designer with your company www. NiaLynnJewels.com (@nialynnjewels). Can you remember the first time you first fell in love with jewelry, and the very first piece in your life that meant the most to you? Honestly I’ve never been a fan of wearing heavy jewelry. I always loved small sleek pieces, like a few gold band rings, a Cartier love bracelet which Larry gave to me for my 27th birthday that I NEVER take off, and maybe a small pair of studs or hoops. What made me become interested in actually designing jewelry is my frustration with never finding jewelry that’s barely there pieces that I could wear all of the time and never take off. Subtle is what I think is most sexy. So when Seven 50 asked me if I wanted to create a capsule for them I jumped on it! Right away I already knew why I wanted to produce. I had visions in my mind of what I wanted already. I just needed someone who believed in my ideas to bring them to light! I’d say my Cartier Love Bracelet from Larry was the first piece of jewelry that I really felt a connection to and I never take it off. Tell us about your new Nia Lynn swimsuit collection, the inspiration behind it, and when you think we will see the first line? I started sketching swim suits about two years ago. At first they were just ideas that I didn’t know would ever really come to life. I could never find the perfect bathing suits. I’m tall and I have a longer torso. I’m skinny but I have a butt. I don’t have big boobs so I want to insinuate what I do have! It’s hard to find the right cuts to make me feel comfortable yet sexy in a bikini. I decided to make patterns and samples. Then, it just got more and more serious. I loved watching them come to life and trying them on. The rewarding feeling of seeing my designs brought to life was amazing. I have a small collection of 6 pieces that will be launching on my site very soon! Keep checking @nialynncollection and of course my Instagram @justtnic for launch details! Your exclusive line of body scrubs is available online at Forever 21. How did that part of your company come to be? I have a body scrub that I’ve designed with Body Blendz. They are a company based out of Australia. I created my own product with them and called it Mandarin Mist. It’s great for all skin types and it’s all organic and cruelty free! I'm very excited that we built a relationship with Forever 21 and now they are selling Mandarin Mist on Forever21.com to US customers only right now. All other customers can grab my scrub on www.bodyblendz.com.au. It's one of my favorite shower products that I swear by.

What kind of adventures and shenanigans can we expect from season three of WAGS? Well, we are not allowed to speak much about it, but I’m definitely taking the viewers on a wedding planning journey! And let’s just say it’s not all rainbows and bubble gum, LOL! I never thought that planning a wedding would be stressful for me, but -- well, you’ll have to watch! We also have some new girls on the show now. You know when you mix new girls in the bunch there’s gonna be some girl drama with all that estrogen in the air! You are a huge dog lover. Can you tell us the story of where you found your two pugs, and what words of wisdom would you give about what your pups have brought to your life? Well, if they heard you call them pugs they would be quite offended, LOL! They are French Bulldogs (i.e. pointed ears), but it’s ok, they get called pugs quite frequently. I’m obsessed with my babies! I don’t refer to them as dogs. I found Jasmine through a friend almost 5 years ago now. I got her when she was only 6 weeks old. She’s my side kick, she’s obsessed with me as well. I can’t go anywhere, not even the shower without putting a towel down for her to lay on and wait for me. That’s my girl. Ace, aka bulldozer, is a big baby. He is extremely jealous! Typical guy! Such a snuggle bug tho. I got him at 4-months old from the Chicago French Bulldog Rescue. It was brought to my attention at first by my best friend Shanina Shaik, who was asked if she was looking to adopt. Our good friend Jon, who is Manny The Frenchies daddy, sent a photo of Ace to Shanina and then she sent it to me since she knew I was looking for a brother for Jasmine! I fell in love with his big bat-like ears. He stole my heart! To make it even more perfect, he was in the same town where Larry grew up! So I immediately flew to Chicago to adopt him. I really stand by rescuing animals, not shopping for them. They really need help and loving families. A lot of abandoned dogs and cats don’t deserve the life that’s handed to them and it’s up to us to help give them the life they so much deserve. Animals just want to be loved. I feel a house without an animal is not a home. What are you most looking forward to in the year ahead? I'm looking forward to just being the best I can be. Building an empire with my husband, giving back to those in need, raising a family, and having success in all my business ventures. I’d also love to have a farm full of rescued animals.

NATHALIE EMMANUEL AVAILABLE IN ALL 7 KINGDOMS
PHOTOGRAPHY ARTHUR GALVAO
2017 is not even half finished, and it's already proven to be the year of a lifetime for Nathalie Emmanuel. In April, the 28-year-old British actress watched as her film The Fate of the Furious became the highest-grossing opening of all time -- even surpassing Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This July her blockbuster fantasy series, Game of Thrones, returns for its seventh season on HBO. And having recently returned home from shooting a cameo in Maze Runner: The Death Cure in dreamy South Africa, Nathalie is embarking on an exciting new chapter in her career. BELLO caught up with Nathalie by phone and she gave us an overview of what's coming up ...

Do you remember how you felt when you first heard the news that you got the part of Theo?
thing wholly and truthfully. I think that idea behind the art form is what inspired me to realize that acting is so much bigger than I had ever thought it was. It made I wish I could say it was an overwhelming feeling, but me realize the potential you have as an actor to inspire others and show them 'this is life -- now go out when I first auditioned for Theo, the character was and live it.' I also get to exercise my empathy muscle, supposed to be in-and-out in three episodes. My and put myself in somebody else's shoes to be able team and I went for it because it fit perfectly into my schedule. So when I first got the news, we celebrated to understand what separates us and what brings us of course -- you have to celebrate the little wins in an together. Being an actor has made navigating through life so much easier because it allows you to see so industry like this -- but then the character started to many different perspectives. blossom. Then three episodes turned into thirty, and two and a half years of my life. You're in amazing shape. Describe your attitude when it comes to your training and health regimen, What do you think it is about TEEN WOLF that and how you stay motivated. makes it resonate so strongly with its audience? I think when TEEN WOLF really started to hit, around season two and three, it really started to discover its own unique way of embracing the sense of humanity within its supernatural realm. Regardless of werewolves trying to kill each other, or a dark entity trying to take over the town, it still focuses on what everyone is really going through as developing adolescents. This is what allowed people to connect with the show on a deeper level because they saw a reflection of themselves within the show. And just as in life, we're all in a state of, not 'finding' ourselves, but discovering ourselves. The show puts its characters in situations where they are forced to make decisions about who they are. We see our alpha character become the leader that he is -- not the leader that he was destined to be -- but the leader that he needed to be. I'm very, very grateful to have been a part of this show. It means a lot to me, and I know for a fact that wherever I go from here, this show in particular will have a very special place in my heart. It opened me up to so much more in the industry, both personally and artistically. Talk about what acting means to you as an artist. I sincerely believe that acting is about the fine art of being alive. As an actor, through a performance I get to captivate an audience and allow them to feel some-

A healthy body is one of those things in life that you can't have without putting the work in. You can't buy a physique. If it's not a daily thing, you lose it. It's something you constantly have to be putting your energy, focus, dedication and time into. And once you start following a regimen like that, you start practicing this idea of making yourself accountable. If you want that, you have to do the work, you have to do the cardio, you have to stay on your diet. There's no way you can be training and eat anything you want and still get the physique you want to have. It doesn't work like that. The gym is my place to focus and grow mentally. In the gym, what you're able to do, is you're really able to face resistance. The goal is to endure this resistance so you can grow and be better. It's a constant state of being challenged, discovering your boundaries and then surpassing them. When you're not working, what is your #1 favorite pastime? I love gaming, especially first-person shooters. I'm very specific about what I like, but HALO is my favorite. It's the first game I played on my Xbox when I was eight-years-old, and I went through HALO 1, HALO 2, HALO 3, HALO Reach, HALO 4, HALO 5 -- I played all of them.

INSTAGRAM QUESTIONS FROM FANS @reallycodybr What was the most difficult moment of your career as an actor, and the most incredible moment? CODY: I would say the most challenging moment is happening right now. All this work, all this time, and all this energy is all coming together right here, right now. I feel like the next move is really a defining moment. It's a great feeling and an intimidating feeling at the same time. The best moment I haven't experienced yet, but if I had to pick one it would be getting nominated for a Teen Choice Award. Some people play it off like it's no big deal. It might not be a big deal to some, but to me it is, because I'm looking at everything that went in to getting me right here at this moment. But at the same time, I like to think the most incredible moment hasn't happened yet. @_pricebrendon If you could star in a movie remake what would it be? CODY: Fight Club, 100%. It's one of my favorite movies, and I'd play Brad Pitt's character. @claireaung If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? CODY: Greece. @annaranha In your career, who inspires you the most? CODY: My mom provided me this opportunity. I cannot wait for the day when I can go to her and say, "You never have to work again your entire life because without you I wouldn't be here. So now it's my turn to give you everything you want in life." I told her when I was twelve-years-old that I want to win and Oscar when I'm twenty-five. I believe that to be true, and nobody outside of me can tell me otherwise. I want to see the look in her eyes when my name is called. @reamylahey What is your go-to song when you workout? CODY: It depends on what kind of workout it is, but if it's a workout where I really need to dig deep and focus, I don't even listen to music -- I listen to speeches, motivational influencers, and bodybuilders. I close my eyes and I get in the zone where I hear the words and feel subjectively what those words mean. One of my idols is Kai Greene. I've met him before and we've talked. His approach to bodybuilding is very philosophical. It all starts with the mind. That's what I embrace. If you can be the master of your own mind, you can really achieve anything.

Photography ARTHUR GALVAO Styling LUKE FUNCHETA Grooming PATRICK CHAI Interview BRENT LAMBERT
When Anthony was just 14 years old he created a website called smosh. This was his passion project for a very long time and he and his partner Ian turned the brand into a comedy empire. Ready to fully immerse himself into a new project, Anthony will be returning to his love of creating content that he is passionate about on an individual level for his YouTube channel. With new videos launching every Monday and Friday, the channel will be filled with comedic content created, directed and produced by Anthony as an individual. Off the internet – Anthony is also busy on the traditional front, from on-camera acting to voiceover work, he is quickly making a name for himself in Hollywood. In 2016, Anthony was heard starring opposite Jason Sudeikis and Maya Rudolph in Columbia Picture’s “The Angry Birds Movie” and also voiced the role of Freddy in the Lionsgate animated film “Arctic Adventure: On Frozen Pond.” Anthony is regularly working on his acting chops and is currently in the process of writing his first television pilot. When is the last time you laughed so hard you couldn’t catch your breath? I was relaxing in a park with Miel. There was another couple laying down near u s and unbeknownst to them, Miel was imitating the leg positions of the other girl, down to every micro-movement. Miel said I was laughing so hard I sounded like a broken Tickle Me Elmo toy. This definitely doesn’t sound funny now so either I ate something I didn’t know I ate that day or I have a terrible sense of humor. What was the #1 best moment of your summer? I skinny dipped for the first time in a pond and now I never want to wear clothes in water again. It’s like you’re taking a bath in cold, dirty water. I would highly recommend it. FASHIONISTA'S GUIDE THROUGH NYC
You don’t have to be in NYC during Fashion Week to see fashion firsthand. In the Big Apple, fashion is everywhere around you – in amazing restaurants, cafés, galleries, or simply passing by you on the street. There’s a reason why New York belongs to the ‘Big Four’ in the category of fashion capitals of the world. According to The Balance, this majestic city “has over 5,000 fashion showrooms—more than any other city in the world— and hosts over 75 major fashion trade shows and market weeks (including Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week) each year.” There are very few people in the world, especially fashion-obsessed ones who aren’t enchanted by the city and have it on their bucket list. So, read on, soak in all the hotspots that are a must-see for every fashionista, and we promise, you’ll be purchasing a ticket for this destination within minutes. by Peter Minkoff THE ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME SHOPPING EXPERIENCE Once you’re in New York, it’s understandable that shopping will take up a huge point (and a time-consuming one) on your travel agenda. The first store you absolutely must visit is Bergdorf Goodman. To call this place an institution would not be an overstatement, as it is a beacon of old-school luxury and features not only high-end designer pieces (couture and bridal selection included). Barneys should also be on your list. There is, of course, the iconic line of luxury stores on Fifth Avenue that you at least must see even if you don’t intend on buying anything there. If you’re keen on taking a more avant-garde shopping experience, then the Dover Street Market will be your ‘house of worship’ as it is home to labels, such as Kawakubo's Comme des Garçons. Of course, we haven’t forgotten about the eco-conscious fashionistas. For you, the Holy Grail of the shopping universe will definitely be a place called In Support Of. You’ll find this eco-friendly nook in the Meatpacking District and be able to enjoy brands such as Apiece Apart, Nikki Chasin, and Tosia. The best part though is the fact that every time you shop here, you’re actually making a small difference in the world as this store is dedicated to helping a different charity every year – hence the name. Finally, there’s a little something for those who adore all things vintage. Your vintage shopping bucket list definitely must include Procell, Ritual Vintage (which we love for its uniqueness and the fact that they have pieces dating back to 1850s), as well as New York Vintage and the flamboyant and slightly quirky and eccentric Allan & Suzi. The list of places to shop in New York could take up an entire book, but these are virtually iconic places that you’ll be able to swing during the not-so-long visits.
COFFEE, WINING, DINING, LUNCHING AND BRUNCHING With so many incredible restaurants and cafés in this fashion capital, and new ones emerging every day, it’s difficult to narrow things down, but we’ll try. First of all, you must do everything in your power to score an invite to an event catered by Alchemiq, because when it comes to event planning in NYC, this service is the current talk of the town. The second place you must see is the Russian Tea Room, simply because it doesn’t get more New York than that. For a supreme brunch experience, turn to Bluestone Lane Collective Café. Now, everyone has been going nuts for matcha tea, and if you’re one of the avid fans of this powerful variation of green tea, Chalait is a place you don’t want to skip. As for wining and dining, make sure you check out the list of the 38 hottest restaurants du jour and take your pick. You won’t be able to visit them all – there are 38 after all, but make some cuts and go to those that appeal to your style and preferences.

SIGHTS AND ARTS When it comes to sights, everyone knows where to go – the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Central Park, the Brooklyn Bridge, Rockefeller Center. Now, for art and history, a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art is a once in a lifetime experience. There is, of course, the inevitable Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim but also small, indie galleries that are definitely worth your attention.
