JUNE 2018 I would like to introduce you all to Alexandra Bonet our intern, that wowed us all by her smarts, and dedication. We have invited her to write the letter from the Editor in this issue (as we know that one day she will become an amazing editor). Ciao, Alek -------------------------Here at BELLO, we are one big melting pot of a family. The beauty of it is that everyone has a unique perspective and personality to bring to the table just as the rest of the world does. Our differences should be celebrated rather than belittled and that is one of BELLO’s main goals: promote uniqueness and the inner/outer beauty of people. Unfortunately, this compassion and desire to promote equality and people’s differences is not always shared by everyone. The mistreatment of immigrants in the US has worsened and something has to change. It seems that we need to remind others that this country would not exist without immigrants. More than that, how can one be treated so poorly for their background? After all, we are all human and should be treated with as much care no matter where we come from, what we believe in and how we see things. Our beautifully mixed family here at BELLO will continue to pursue this notion of equality and admiring others for their differences through the cover stories, editorials and more. Come be part of this movement and let’s take a stand for those who can’t! In this issue, we are happy to present the beautiful Charlotte Mckinney as our cover story as well as Lilimar our IT Girl, our handsome It Guys Tulio & Gustavo, Andrea Denver as model of the month and our Christopher Meyer in the SPOTLIGHT. Also enjoy the top 10 summer products by Mariana Saad and amazing fashion editorials that will have you pumped up for summer. “Those who were seen dancing, were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music” Alexandra Bonet

and finish with a sushi dinner. When people get to know me, they are frequently surprised by my sense of humor and easy going attitude. I’m a real goof and I really don’t take life too seriously. Did you expect to rise so quickly in the entertainment industry? How different did your life change overnight? I never think of my career as an overnight success since I’ve been working hard at a young age. I try my best to stay humble and to never forgot to continue to work hard every day. I don’t feel like I’ve reached my peak yet, hopefully the best is yet to come. As a model, I am sure you have been asked to dress in different styles. Can you tell us YOUR go to style? For me, it’s all about understanding my body shape. I love to find the perfect combination between comfort and sexy. I’m not into being overdressed, I prefer an effortless and chic look. I’ve been working with a new stylist this year – Siena. She has really helped to build my overall style and vision. She really understands me so I’m super lucky to have her in my life. She is probably who I text with the most. We literally are texting back and forth about outfit ideas and opinions. It’s a really good relationship.

I am sure over the recent years you have met interesting people, can you tell us about some of your role models? I’ve been very fortunate with who I’ve crossed paths with in the industry. The people I tend to idolize the most are those who have long successful careers. A lot of people don’t understand the ups and downs, and the hard work it takes to maintain longevity. I praise anyone who can do this, not just in my industry but universally.
You started a full-time career as a model when you were 17 when you became the lead model for Guess. On that very day, can you tell us about your feelings and where you saw yourself heading in your professional career? Booking such a prestigious job at a young age set the bar high in terms of my career. I remember telling myself to take this as serious as possible, and that the hard work is yet to come. How did you envision your future while you were growing up? Is it any different or similar to your life today? Who has been your biggest support in your life? As a child, my parents would always bring me to California for vacation and I’ve loved Malibu since I was young. It’s like Florida (where I grew up) but 10x better! I’m living my dream by being in Malibu and I get to live a fun and healthy lifestyle. It’s the perfect place for me! As for my biggest support in my life, without a doubt, it’s my parents. They are always there for me professionally and personally. I wouldn’t be anywhere near where I am today without their support, guidance and love. As an actress and model you’ve lived your life in front of the camera. Describe an ideal day when you are not working on a show or shooting a campaign. What is something most people may not know about you? An ideal day is definitely getting in a good workout - health and fitness is a very important part of my daily routine, followed by a healthy lunch and a full body massage. Then I spend the afternoon by the beach with friends

You have been labeled as “International Model Of The Year”, “Sexiest Women” and “one of the most beautiful women in the world”: describe what you think is beautiful. To me, beauty is being confident! It doesn’t come easy to a lot of us, I struggle and work on it every day. We are our own worst critics, so I’m trying to practice what I preach, and I’m still learning and finding what makes me my most confident self-whilst understanding my life is a work in progress. In today’s world of making sure to give back to the community, how do you see yourself using your celebrity to help others? I’ve been involved with Best Buddies since high school. It’s really rewarding working with their team and the Best Buddies. We have been collaborating on a lot of fun events, and it’s nice to use my platform for a greater good. I also have a really soft spot for kids and spend some of my time working with the LA Children’s Hospital too. What is one of the biggest lessons you have learned throughout your career and in life? Do you have a motto that gets you through the ups and downs?
Always be the easiest to work with. There are plenty of people just waiting for the opportunity to jump into your shoes. And secondly, be kind to everyone. From the assistant to producer, everyone! Those are the two lessons I take with me everyday when I go to work; be easy and pleasant to be around and treat everyone equal. And don’t forget to put in the hard work!

CHRISTOPHER MEYER You play a key role in the Emmy nominated series “the Affair,” which recently premiered: tell me more about this role and how it has pushed in your acting career. I play the role of Anton Gatewood. A brilliant, young high school student from Compton Academy who was held back a grade for plagiarizing by his own mother who is the principal of the school. Torn between growing up and making his own decisions and trying to please his parents at the same time, while being profiled in society, he’s just another kid trying to figure everything out. It has tremendously upped my game, acting with great actors always makes me better. 15

You’ve been successful in portraying many characters these past few years. In being pushed as an actor, what would you say makes you “better” in your craft. like I said in the previous answer, the best way for me is to act with people who i think are better than me. It automatically pushes me to perform at a higher level. With any art, you have your instrument, mines our emotions… So almost every day or every other day either watch movies, from black and whites, to animated work, to going down the list of my favorite actors. And I try and use my instrument as much as possible. Anton is the name of your character who represents a “defiant but brilliant high school student”: could you say you were the same growing up? Did you feel connected to this character in any way? That is definitely how my mother would connect me lol I would say I was smart, mostly because my mother push me very hard. I was definitely defiant haha. Me and Anton relay on many levels. He is me, I am him. Especially in the way we choose to share our emotions with others. How did you know you wanted to become an actor when you were just 10 years old? Which was your favorite show at that age? I know this doesn’t make for the best answer, but I really just did. I came off stage from doing my first play at church, (Winners Church, palm beach Florida) walked right up to my mother, and said “ I know what I want to do for the rest of my life.” She laughed, and I proceeded to tell her acting was my passion. My favorite show indefinitely, was the fresh Prince of Bel Air. I could remember myself hearing him say something funny, pausing the TV, then running to the mirror to rehearse the line over and over and over again until I felt like I got it just like him. He is still who I am chasing till this day.
let the environment of the new city that I’m in and do the job, sometimes I write a whole biography for the character to help me in his shoes, sometimes I walk the streets of LA with a different mindset, sometimes I have conversation, or hang around certain people who his energies I feel like are similar to the character i’m playing. I don’t have an exact method, I just do what I feel is right, so that I can give the character the right texture. Bello Magazine is a style and lifestyle outlet: can you tell me about your personal style? I’m an actor, with the soul of a rapper. Although I’m not as flashy, I definitely do like my street wear, my hoodies, my bombers, my rockstar pattered trousers, my rockstar rings and jewelry, my tattoos are definitely a big part of my style. It might be a boot day, it might be Airmax 90 day. The main answer would probably just be streetwear. Pharrell, A$AP Rocky, Virgil, Yeezus, Big Sean are all my fashion influences.
Describe to me in five words or less the feeling you get when you step into character and in front of the camera: GO. God. Passion. Adrenaline. Bliss. Pressure. What are some long-term goals for yourself? I not only want to be one of the greatest actors of my generation. I want to become a very established movie and TV producer, to make sure no good art goes unseen & and the artist like myself and my peers always have a platform to show the beautiful things that they are working on. I also want to, at some point be a part of creating a Japanese anime. Big dream of mine... Biggest goal... is to make sure my mom and dad & my friends are taken care of Forever. Love
What is something you like to do when you’re not acting / preparing for a role. As cookie cutter as this sounds, I really love going and enjoying a movie by myself or with someone I really rock with. Movies are my passion, even as an actor, they suck me in for about two hours and I don’t think about anything else. I also love to play basketball almost every other day. Catch me at your local LA fitness, taking ankles home with me . I also box almost every day. I really just love to be around my friends, good energy and people inspire me. If you could create or produce any TV show, what would it be about and what would you name it?
Oh my goodness. OK... Here goes, it would be just like Game of Thrones, but instead of the white walkers it was a group of wildlings that turned into werewolves, and in the end you find out that the werewolves were the Many of your roles are of a young adult, good guys, then they join forces with humans from your characters in “The Fosters” to “NCIS: New Orleans”: how do you prepare to fight a greater evil. I’m still working on the yourself before getting on set? Do you have name, I just made that up on the spot. Nobody steal my idea :) a “ritual” of some kind? Definitely varies for every role. Sometimes I

Bello SUMMER TREND BEAUTY PRODUCTS by BEAUTY AFICIONADO MARIANA SAAD
Liquid Lipstick Matte PAYOT by Mariana Saad Of course I could not leave out of this list my line of lipsticks designed with so much love and affection in partnership with Payot a brand with more than
80 years of tradition. All colors are beautiful, have great fixing and powerful moisturizing factor with Matte finish. The color that I suggest for this summer is SENSUALITY that has micro particles of brightness that appears with the rub of the lips. Any woman will feel more powerful and sensual with him.
For those who do not know me yet, I am Mariana Saad, a Brazilian Beauty Influencer who loves to discover, know and test new products. Besides traveling a lot and sharing all my experiences with my audience. I live between Brazil and the USA air bridge and whenever I can, I take my bag and I travel the world. Unlike Brazil, where the climate is humid and tropical, California, especially Los Angeles the weather is much drier and for that reason I have separated for you some products that I love. They work really well for the summer in both Brazil and the US! Here is my list that I tried and tested:
Caudalie Beauty Elixir I love to splash on my face before and after the makeup because it closes the pores, helps to fix the make, brings an immediate luminosity and is the darling product of the princesses and celebrities. It feels very refreshing on the face and you may even feel a little princess. Lol
Beyoung Booster This is my little secret for the summer. This powerful multifunctional serum in addition to controlling the oiliness of the skin, which at this time of year may seem like an impossible task, it is also anti-aging and works as a primer. I've never seen anything that holds the make for so long as this Booster. It's a MUST!
Velvet NARS Matte Base with 30 fps filter In addition to leaving the skin with a velvety and matte touch, it still has fps 30 which is perfect for the summer. So it's easy to look beautiful and protected at the same time. Test and tell me.
Bello
Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Moisturizing the skin is critical, especially in the summer. Keeping the skin hydrated is a rule to achieve a more natural and luminous effect on the make. Another tip is to drink lots of water girl, follow my tip and you will look gorgeous for sure!

The Balm Bahama Mama Bronzer, Shadow and Contour Powder With summer everything changes even the tone of our skin. I love this bronzer that works for all skin tones. My tip is to sweep the contour not only on the face, but on the lap, breasts and legs. GO GIRL!!
KKW X 10 Mario Pan Eyeshadow Palette Kim and Mario together what more could we expect, a great product with great fixation, sophisticated and with colors that highlight any look. I LOVED this collab.
Maybelline Makeup Volum 'Express The Colossal Waterproof Mascara
NARSissist Wanted Cheek Palette
This item will guarantee that beautiful look all day long, even under the water. Who does not love a beach or a pool to cool off in the summer. With this item you can dive, swim and still look like a mermaid. BEAUTIFUL
My friends already called me a red cheek and it was not a coincidence, because I love blush and I love to put it on without fear, because I think blush brings that air of health to the skin. I feel more beautiful and ready for summer with the blushest cheekbones and you?
Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter Palette I confess that I am a fan of this beautiful and entrepreneur woman, but what impresses me most is the quality of her products. This pallet is a MUST HAVE, works for all skin tones and brings that GLOW we love so much, is not it girls?

LILIMAR
Photography SARAH KRICK
LILIMAR interview by Brent Lambert @FEELguide FROM HER RISE IN THE WORLD OF BEAUTY, TO HER SEAMLESS TRANSITION TO THE EXCITING WORLD OF TELEVISION, MODEL AND ACTRESS, LILIMAR HERNANDEZ, IS NOW POISED TO BE AMERICA'S NEWEST SWEETHEART. HAVING JUST CELEBRATED HER 18TH BIRTHDAY, LILIMAR SAT DOWN WITH BELLO DURING HER RECENT IT GIRL PHOTO SHOOT TO TALK ABOUT HER INSTAGRAM-HOSTED PROM, HER FUTURE CAREER AS A DIRECTOR, AND HER PASSION FOR ALL THINGS POETRY AND JAPAN.
You play Sage on the brand new Nickelodeon show 'Knight Squad'. Can you remember the moment you first found out you got the role? How did you celebrate? If I remember right, I got the phone call while my family and I were all in the car. So I had the phone on speaker and we all just started cheering along with my manager! Congratulations on your high school graduation! Do you see yourself continuing your education or would you rather jump straight into your professional career full-time? Thank you! While I would rather just jump into my professional career full-time, acting is not exactly a stable job 24/7. One day you could get chosen for a show that ends up with eight seasons & another you could end up a whole year without a job. So I’ll be starting some online college classes soon for directing! I’m pretty excited about it, as well as getting to learn with the directors I’ve worked with on 'Knight Squad' and precious projects. You also went to your prom last month. What was the greatest moment of the night, and the craziest moment of the night? So, Instagram held a prom to promote kindness & it was honestly a very sweet night. It was really cool walking into that school gym and feeling as if I was in one of those quintessential high school proms from the movies (laughing)! The best part was definitely getting to spend the whole night with my cast mates and best friends and share the experience with them. Summer has officially arrived. What are some of the biggest things on your summer bucket list? Staying inside (laughing). I hate hot weather and tons of sun. I’m honestly more of a stormy aesthetic kind of girl! I might put in the effort to have a beach day or bonfire with my friends though -- we’ll see how adventurous I get this summer! If a genie blessed you and your closest friends with a 24-hour fantasy trip to anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? Jeez, that’s so hard, there are SO many places I want to visit! Maybe Tokyo! I’d love to explore the city & learn more about Japanese culture! Also, let’s not forget how much my friends and I would go crazy for the fashion. What are some of your favorite new discoveries these days, whether it be products, shows, fashion, books, etc.? I’m really into poetry books these days and honestly my two faves at the moment are 'The Princess Saves Herself In This One' and 'The Witch Doesn’t Burn In This One.' Amanda Lovelace’s words are so powerful! I’m also REALLY into Michelle Phan’s playlists on Spotify! Vibes for days!

GUSTAVO - My first WOW moment was when I came to my first Red Carpet Movie Premiere in L.A invited by Disney Pixar. It was a dream coming true, especially because I've always watched these events only on T.V. and suddenly I was there in the middle of it all.

Would you say there is a difference from the Brazilian / US market in terms of entertainment? If so, please elaborate. TULIO - Yes, It does. In the Brazilian market influencers are still not well consolidated and accepted by all companies, while in the US the role of an influencer is more well established. I think we will become more stable as time goes on. GUSTAVO - Oh Yes, for sure! I believe the Entertainment and Influencer Marketing are more professional in the US. If you go to a red carpet event in the US, there are many photographers there and every detail is planned out. In Brazil however, we still lack a proper organization and planning, mostly for the smaller events.
GUSTAVO - The US Influencers and Entertainment industry should create more opportunities of collabs with Brazilian's influencers, actors, actresses, dancers and other artists. Brazil is a country full of creativity, funny people and a very amazing diversity.

YOU MAY RECOGNIZE ONE, OR BOTH OF THESE MEN FROM AMERICAS NEXT TOP MODEL, NEW GIRL, YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, FACE-OFF, STITCHER, MEN’S WAREHOUSE, ROBINS JEANS, OR MOST RECENTLY CARDI B’S NEW MUSIC VIDEO “BE CAREFUL”. THESE TWO YOUNG MEN, KEITH CARLOS, AND MATTHEW SMITH HAVE HAD QUITE THE SUCCESS WITHIN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY. HOWEVER, WITH THAT SAID, ONE CANNOT HELP BUT ASK, HOW MUCH OF THIS “SUCCESS” IS BASED OFF OF SOMETHING AS SHALLOW AND SIMPLE AS APPEARANCE? VS, SOMETHING THAT IS TRULY ADMIRABLE, SOMETHING THAT LASTS SUCH AS HEART, SOUL, CHARISMA, PASSION? THEIR NEW UP-COMING TV SERIES “ROLE MODELS”, MAY ANSWER JUST THAT!
Role Models is a non-scripted TV series that will follow what may seem like a group of stereotypical male models from one destination to another. The catch/hook of this show however lies within their mission. Through this TV series, Keith Carlos, and Matthew Smith aim to reinstate the true definition of a Role Model. They plan to achieve this, not through bosting over their own actions, nor the actions of their cast members, but rather by seeking out and shining light on the everyday heroes of the world.
“I believe I can speak for Keith and I both when I say that we live in a very strange and confused world. Social media has in many ways corrupted and altered our society. Through its uncensored and vastly accessible content, I believe that the line between good and bad, positive and negative, admirable and trashy has been very blurred. Keith and I both feel that it’s time for someone to reinstate and highlight what it means to TRULY be a role model. There are a TON of

them out there, and most of them aren’t on social media or seeking attention for their efforts.” – Matthew Smith The show concept Role Models truly evolves from an admirable humanitarianism mission to something of great interest and “watch worthy”, through its creative and forward thinking involvement of brand and company endorsements.
“Brands and companies spend millions and millions a year on social marketing. Through my success within the entertainment industry, I have become more and more aware of the extremely large budgets that are being spent on social platform marketing. It makes sense, there is no denying that it successfully achieves brand awareness, and I don’t believe anyone would argue that people spend more of their time scrolling through social media than they do watching commercials on television. Matthew and I saw this as an opportunity. Through jointed efforts within our cast, our social outreach

multiplies, which increases any brand or companies interest towards utilizing us, “Role Models” to market their product or create awareness for their services. The real difference is where we will choose to use the endorsement dollars, and donated products. We will filter any marketing dollars through my non-profit “Make it Happen” and through labeling these “marketing dollars” as “charity”, we will use the money and donated product in creative, fun, and lasting ways to increase community infrastructure, help individuals in need, and share heart felt smiles with those who need them most. It’s a win, win, win! The brands/companies receive great PR, marketing, social outreach and awareness. We receive the opportunity to travel, learn, grown, and most importantly help where we can. The communities, and individuals that we reach along the

way gain not only a helping hand through money and products, but are also given our platform as a way to create awareness towards their efforts as well as areas that they could use more help throughout their daily struggles.” – Keith Carlos Keith and Matthew have just recently contracted Role Models with Denver based production companies EON247 and Worker Studio. Having partnered with Role Models first company sponsor Variant out of Malibu California, Role Models pilot was shot in non-other than sunny Hollywood, CA. With their first season set to shoot domestically within the United States beginning in September, there is no question that the anticipated is high.
