ALEJANDRO SPEITZER AS HE WELCOMES THE UNEXPECTED WITH OPEN ARMS It’s funny how life works. You pick a direction, you make a choice and from one day to the next, everything changes. Not to get too cliché but
you can either resist or ride the wave and find yourself in an even better mindset, environment, and more. For actor Alejandro Speitzer, this type
of moment happened to him when he was offered
a role on DARK DESIRE. “I had just finished a very
complicated shoot and my plans were to relax,” he opened up. “Nevertheless, when they handed
me the first chapter and I read it, I instantly knew
it was a character that I could not let go of.” There was no way he would pass up the opportunity
to act out this fantastic plot and fully immerse himself into a thriller.
Throughout the filming process, Alejandro was lucky to work and share his time with such
a loving team. As he shared wholeheartedly “having the pleasure to work with people who
you, not only admire, but also love, is without a doubt something that I truly value and cherish.” Everyone brought something unique and exciting
to the table allowing multiple souls to connect on
different levels. Soaking in all the love from the
cast and crew, Alejandro did also create a special bond with Maite Perroni and Erik Hayser.
his personality is shaped the way that it is,” the
actor explained. In one scene, some crucial information about him is revealed and this
particular scene proved to be complicated for Alejandro. “It was such a complicated scene
for me, psychologically speaking, that I decided to speak to my psychologist in order to further understand the significance of what happened
and the impact it would have on Dario’s character,” he added. When in doubt… ask an expert!
And that is what I call true passion and dedication.
I may not be an actress but as I continue to work with many, it’s truly a beautiful thing to see
someone fully immerse themselves into their
projects. Everything is a learning process, an opportunity to grow! Take the series as a whole,
the first season was a worldwide success which
meant the momentum had to continue… and as Alejandro shared, it definitely did!
With every experience, every show and every
character, Alejandro finds a special place for each in his heart. Forming a bond with each and every
one of them, he holds reminders of what each
one helped him discover and more. Two roles he learned the most from include

in “la cabeza de Joaquín Murrieta.” Roles that
were complex in their own way, the actor had to dig deeper within to truly understand and then portray the roles in the best way possible.

After all, “being an actor is being able to evade
myself from everything that I am. Being able to leave my ego aside and enjoy the emptiness,” he
shared candidly. Acting is an outlet which allows him to detach from himself at times in order to
better open up to the world. However, when looking within, most people do not know that Alejandro is “very emotional. I base my life and my decisions
based on feelings and emotions and not so much on what I think or “what is right”.” Laughingly he
added “ I must admit that I am a bit corny at times haha.” Who doesn’t love some corniness?
what beauty means to him. “Beauty describes a moment that, for the eyes, can seem like an eternity. It’s present everywhere and in so many ways,” she
opened up beautifully. “In my opinion, beauty isn’t exactly the stereotype that society imposes, it's something much deeper.” No argument there.
When he isn’t acting, Alejandro enjoys playing
soccer and enjoys expressing himself through
fashion. “It allows us to reflect the essence of our
personalities,” he ended while also talking about
art! Enjoying the little things in life, he is sure he
Alejandro has a big heart and who he is today is
greatly thanks to his mother who raised him and his
brother, alone, as he was growing up. “These are moments and memories that I will always cherish and hold tightly and that still today teach me so
much,” he opened up nostalgically. “And have the
ability to remind me about the importance of fighting for what I want everyday.” Goosebumps. To those

will find his purpose one day. However, today he is “committed to pursue this path that I chose, a
path where I have accomplished to be fully present
and in which I have been able to enjoy all of the different processes involved.” There is always a solution. There is always a way.
In this New Year, Alejandro Speitzer is ready to take it all on and welcomes anything life has in
store for him. After all, he believes that life will put
you in random situations that you can’t necessarily
control, which is when you must be able to adapt and explore new routes that you didn’t plan ahead.
“Essentially, I would say my only goal is to have the

NEZZA
NEZZA IS BRINGING THE HEAT! THE BEAUTIFUL, SEXY, AND TALENTED NEZZA IS NOT PLAYING AROUND. TRULY AN AMAZING ARTIST, HER HEART AND SOUL ARE ON FIRE AS SHE CONTINUES TO RELEASE SINGLES THAT ARE SURE TO GET YOU UP AND MOVING. MUSIC HAS ALWAYS BEEN A HUGE PART OF HER LIFE AS HER PARENTS WERE ALWAYS DANCING AROUND THE HOUSE LISTENING TO THEIR FAVORITE TUNES. GETTING TO KNOW THE ENGLISH AND SPANISH MARKET IS LIKE A SUPERPOWER TO NEZZA AND IT REMINDS US THAT MUSIC IS SUPPOSED TO MAKE YOU FEEL SOMETHING--NO MATTER THE LANGUAGE. LET'S DANCE OUR WAY INTO THE NEW YEAR WITH NEZZA AND SPREAD SOME LOVE AND CHEER!
What does music mean to you? Growing up, what role did it play in your life? Music is everything to me. I can’t remember a time where I wasn’t in love with it. My parents always had all kinds of music playing throughout the house and we were always dancing. Who is someone you look up to the most? Was there a time when someone challenged you for the greater good? I look up to JLo a lot. We both started out as professional dancers and I dream of accomplishing everything she has. I think being in this industry is constantly challenging but I’ve built up thick skin and feel like absolutely nothing can stop me. Share with us your musical journey up until now. The most I would sing growing up was in the shower haha! Dance took up all my time but singing has always been my first love. When I got to LA, I was put into countless girl groups 27
under labels (none that worked out) and it wasn’t until a few years ago I decided to focus on myself and my solo career. While creating music, what part if you do you hope to showcase the most? What do you hope to bring to your audience? I want to prove to people this is what I was meant to do and showcase more of my Spanglish side. Most importantly, I just wanna make people feel good and dance. Tell us about your recent songs. In what ways do each showcase a different strength of yours? What does a typical writing day look like? My first EP “Club Solita” is finally out! I think this project shows the range of my sound. My song “Better Days” puts you in your feels but “Don’t Play” is the perfect club song. A typical writing day will be just having fun with my music fam in Miami. It’s always a great time when we’re together and we’ll usually just work from home.

What does beauty mean to you? And acceptance? I think beauty means feeling good about yourself. Acceptance or self-love doesn’t come easy for some people and it’s not something that you can just fix overnight, but there are baby steps you can take. I surround myself with friends who constantly uplift each other. It’s helped me personally so much. If you could be anyone for a week, who would you pick and why? I think I would trade places with Elon Musk because I dream of going to space one day! In what ways does your bilingual side allow you to have a better understanding of life and the music world. How has it influenced your work? Who you are? I feel like it’s a superpower getting to know and
understand the English and Spanish music market. I get to enjoy double the music. I think being able to witness people like Balvin cross over just shows the power of just good music whether people understand the lyrics or not. A good song is gonna make you dance or feel something no matter the language. And for that reason, I embrace both sides. I can’t imagine not making Spanish music cause it’s in my blood. When you are feeling down, what do you do to get back up? I believe in retail therapy haha! I will usually get myself something to have a night of pampering when I’m feeling down. Or an evening with my girls also does the trick. Plans for 2022? I’m hitting the stage starting in January! And as far as new music, you’ll just have to wait and see :)

for the first time, from complete strangers who were their culture and heritage.
When the time came to produce the video, it was
important to me to bring in as many tenets of Indian culture as possible, and that’s why we went with the
idea of bringing in multiple Indian classical dance styles as well as more modern, Bollywood styles,
to represent a part of the vast selection of art forms India has to offer. Initially, I was worried about being able to find enough willing dancers, but the casting
came together like magic. I put out an Instagram
story on Tuesday to scout dancers for the Saturday shoot, and over 200 dancers in LA reached out
offering their talent. It was so incredible to see how much the community was behind the whole project, and ready to go out of their way to support.
Music is magic, nostalgia, and passion all in one.
It lets us explore emotions and feelings, and bottle them up in a tangible form. I think one of the most beautiful things the internet has given us is the
ability to experience different traditions and palettes of music side by side. Every single kind of music, whether it be modern, classical, or instrumental,
has the minds and passion of thousands of people behind it, and represents a part of their humanity. To experience and learn from that collective
consciousness is one of the greatest blessings we have as modern humans.
I think of music as my best friend and mentor that stays with me through all the ups and downs of life.
In a day and age where social media allows you
to become famous from the comfort of your home, in what ways is this a positive change? A negative one?
I think social media allows for an incredible opportunity for small businesses and small creators, who are now able to reach wide audiences simply
by cracking the code of content creation, rather
than dealing with companies and red tape and
the different politics that have been associated with fame in the past. It’s also a wonderful tool for
networking, that really puts the whole world at your fingertips if you’re able to showcase a unique skill.
That said, there are negatives as well, but I think
they can be safely managed as long as you don’t allow your self-worth to become tied into your
social media success or “fame”. It can be a VERY dangerous game to play with fame and social media
without a lot of personal grounding. These platforms present people and ourselves as numbers, and it’s

Every human emotion and state of difficulty or bliss

Favorite part of discovering new artists? What is the first thing you look for in new music?
Great artists give us worlds to fall into and relate to and feel seen through. They give us new ways to interpret life around us, and new soundscapes
to attach our memories to. When I hear new music,
I usually start automatically analyzing the lyrics
and melodies and production. After years of trying to study each of those things, the “analysis” part seems to start happening without thinking. The moments I really live for nowadays are when I hear
a song and all that goes through the window, and
I’m back to listening just like I did when I was a kid. And whenever that happens I have to go back
and figure out why it did that, but it’s the most fun time ever. I still remember my first times diving into

I’m an only child and my parents’ attention was
definitely all on me growing up. I’m so grateful to them for raising me not only with love, but also for
working day and night to teach me how to dream, and help me make those dreams come true. Amma is
an absolute perfectionist with everything she does, and continues to teach me how to be resourceful
and work as hard as I possibly can. Appa is the source of all my music and taught me how to sing
by exposing me to all kinds of music and always
singing around the house. My role in the house was always as the third decision-maker; growing
up my parents always took my thoughts a lot more seriously than they needed to. I realize the value in
that a lot more now than I did as a kid - it gave me a lot of freedom to express my thoughts and develop a lot of confidence in myself. Love you Amma and Appa <3
to take it on, and she eventually choreographed the piece around my natural movements. I never in my wildest dreams would’ve expected to see myself in a dance video before this, but here we are!
In what ways do you believe you have a broader perspective on life and why?
I was lucky to be exposed to a lot of Hindu philosophy
and spirituality very young and had a lot of deeper discussions about it with my dad growing up. That helped me develop systems of staying grounded
and keeping tabs of my emotions and thoughts
whenever they leaned on the negative side. I’ve always had a fascination with astronomy and the
cosmos, and remembering how small a blip in time and space our lives occupy, can provide a lot of perspective and relief during the moments when life feels heavy.

VERONICA ST. CLAIR
STARRING IN LA BREA, VERONICA ST. CLAIR CONTINUES TO EXPLORE HERSELF AND THE WORLD THROUGH ACTING. HAVING FILMED IN AUSTRALIA AT THE HEIGHT OF THE DELTA VARIANT, THE EXPERIENCE WAS DEFINITELY DIFFERENT BUT LUCKILY, WORKING WITH THE CAST AND CREW MADE IT EASIER. DRAWN TO DARKER THEMES AND CHARACTERS FROM A YOUNG AGE, THE ACTRESS SAW SOMETHING DIFFERENT IN THE VILLAINS. READY FOR SEASON 2 OF LA BREA, VERONICA ST. CLAIR CONTINUES HER UPHILL CLIMB TO SUCCESS!
What has acting done for you up until now?
The surprises make this journey so much more fun and fulfilling.
Acting has provided a creative outlet. I've been able to process all of my own humanity through the telling of others' stories. I get to live lives I might not normally get to otherwise. I've also traveled to new places and met some of the most inspiring, firstclass people through the craft.TL;DR: a life! Acting has given me a rich, juicy life!
Describe to us the moment you knew you wanted/had to become an actress.
Looking back on your first audition ever, what beliefs of yours about the industry have evolved and how? My first audition actually came after I had been scouted by Disney Channel casting directors at one of my high school performances. I was heavily involved in my high school's show choir and after one of our shows, I was surprised to learn I was invited to audition for Disney Channel's Teen Beach Movie. I think my beliefs about the industry have largely remained the same: anything can happen and often, they can happen when you least expect. I could have never anticipated the career I've had in this industry thus far, and--my god--I am so grateful for that.
55
Oh, there were so many moments that, together, finally pushed me to pursue acting. But I do remember being awe-struck while watching Shirley Temple tap dance on film. Specifically, watching her tap dance with Bill Robinson on those steps--that's a core memory for sure. My neighbor and I would sit on the floor in front of the tv for hours watching all of the Shirley Temple films on VHS. Seeing another child my age on film planted a seed that it was possible; if she could do it, I could do it. On set of LA BREA, what were some challenges you faced? Explain. We shot La Brea over the course of 6 months in Melbourne, Australia at the height of Covid-19's Delta variant surge. Curfews were implemented, all shops were closed, and while I am grateful for the safety precautions, it was very hard being so isolated. Filming La Brea with all of the wonderful people involved was my saving grace.

In what ways do you resemble your character? And differ? Riley is way cooler than I am. She's absolutely dripping--wears three gold chains at all times and rings on every finger. She's so much bolder in her expression than I was at 19. Also, she's a Scorpio. Ha! I'm an Aries. But Riley is fiercely independent, deeply loving, sarcastic, antagonistic, and ultimately, a truth-seeker. I think we're similar in those ways. If a scenario like the one in the show would happen, what top 3 things would you want with you in the other world? Easy. a deck of cards a genie in a bottle, baby and a Macy's Growing up, what was your favorite way to “make-believe”? I would either walk far ahead or far behind my parents while pushing my baby brother in his stroller because I thought strangers would believe I was a tortured and struggling too-young mother.
to darker themes and characters. In my adolescence, I loved Alice in Wonderland, Beetlejuice, Coraline, and The Great Mouse Detective. Later, The Green Mile and The Iron Mask would spark my interest in film. I think I related more to the darkness and to the villain characters. I felt more seen by the nuance--humanity is so much more rich and grey than the obvious saccharine and black and white of princes and princesses. It’s 2022, wow. What are some of your resolutions? My mantra for 2022 is keep showing up. No short-cuts! As always, I'm seeking balance, and I want to pour into myself as much as I want to pour into others. Also, more art! Just like every year before it, 2022 is *the* year. I adore the fresh start of a new calendar year. <3 Any upcoming projects? La Brea Season 2!!! It's going to be even bigger and better than Season 1. I can't wait to begin shooting again. There is something so truly magical about getting to step into another world, especially like the one we've been able to create in La Brea.
What projects/ characters have you always been drawn to you? Why were they some of your favorites growing up? I grew up always being very drawn

COBI
FOR THE TALENTED ARTIST, COBI, MUSIC IS A "TORCH THAT LIGHTS (HIS) WAY THROUGH LIFE." FOLLOWING MUSIC AND HIS HEART, HIS JOURNEY SO FAR HAS BEEN EVERYTHING HE COULD IMAGINE AND MORE. AT THE AGE OF NINE, A FAMILY FRIEND BROUGHT OVER A SPARKLY BLUE ELECTRIC FENDER STRATOCASTER WHICH MARKED THE BEGINNING OF A LIFELONG RELATIONSHIP. BRINGING THE PASSION AND SPARK IN THE STUDIO OR ON STAGE, COBI MAY (OR MAY NOT ;) ) HAVE SOME PROJECTS ON THE HORIZON SO MAKE SURE TO KEEP AN EYE OUT!
How has your relationship with music evolved in the last 10 years? I have never thought of my music as a relationship. It’s been more of a torch that lights my way through life. I’ve always followed my music and my heart and everything has turned out alright so far. When did you know you wanted to pursue a career in music? Was there a specific moment/person who inspired you? It was probably the first moment I picked up an electric guitar. I was around 9 years old when a family friend brought over his sparkly blue electric Fender Stratocaster. He plugged it into a small amp and handed it to me. He showed me how to play my first chord and after that, I was obsessed. I saved money by mowing lawns that summer to buy my own electric guitar. A few months later I bought my first Squire Stratocaster from Schmitt’s Music in Minneapolis MN and immediately started learning Nirvana songs. Growing up, what kind of music did your family play? What music got you through high school? 61
My dad mostly listened to the oldies station that played all the 50s music that he loved. But I think the memory that stands out the most was singing along to Bob Marley and records in his truck. My mom listened to Van Morisson, Neil Young, Willie Nelson, Michael Jackson, Joni Mitchel, The Beatles, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, and many others. My brother turned me onto a lot of different music that got me through high school. The Doors, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Queens Of The Stone Age, Rage Against The Machine, Mars Volta, Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Peter Tosh and so many more. Share with us a time where music brought you and someone/people together. Most of the relationships I have were forged out of music in some way. Whether from being on the road and meeting people or just sharing a common love for a particular song with someone. It’s led me to so many places and given me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people that it’s hard to think of a relationship that wasn’t because of music.
Winter 2022

Tell us more about your music and what you hope it makes listeners feel. I hope my listeners experience everything from euphoria to feeling blue. I want to take them on a rollercoaster of emotions and feel a yearning for unattainable love. My music is meant to be hypnotic and release inhibitions. It’s not meant for the faint of heart. From studio to performing, what do you like the most from each of those scenes? I love the studio because it allows you to create something that will outlive you. There’s really nothing like the feeling of being tantalized by the muses to chase an idea all the way to its completion. With recording, you’re trying to capture special moments and make them last forever. Performing live is different. It’s not meant to last forever. It’s meant to be a special fleeting moment in time. I like to reserve parts of songs for improvising during my show to keep the music alive and fresh. To me that's a key ingredient to making the experience truly LIVE. While on stage, where does your mind go to usually? What are you thinking about the most? On stage I’m doing my best NOT to think.
I really try to focus on getting lost in the music and express each note as genuinely as possible. The challenge with live performance is the changing circumstances and outside stimuli that are out of your control. Being able to maintain that meditative state throughout a changing environment takes a lot of focus. If you were to see yourself perform on stage, what are things you would want to change? Things you would be very proud of? I record my shows whenever possible so I can go back and see how I look and sound after each performance. I get very picky about how I move on stage, or how my face looks when I sing a certain part, or how the lighting looks for each moment of the show. I’ll always be my own worst critic, but I feel proud when I see how far I’ve come. It makes me want to continue to get better. Personal hobbies? I like to be out in nature whenever possible. Camping, hiking, swimming, and fishing are rejuvenators for the soul. Any new projects on the horizon? I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of any future projects ;)

You star in the upcoming film “Nexus Dream.” Share with us what your experience on set was like. The experience on the set thus far has really been amazing. The cinematographer has done a beautiful job and has a creative eye. It’s been extremely cool to see everything come together as well as the Director's vision come to life. I love the story and all the incredible details the art department has executed. Overall, I couldn’t be more thankful to be a part of such a great team and to be given the opportunity to challenge my skillsets throughout this journey.
Have you always wanted to be an actor? I’ve always wanted to perform, whether it’d be in acting or modeling. I had the experience of being an actor at a very young age and I was immediately fascinated and impressed with the movie set and how everything works!
What do you believe is the highlight of the movie?
What has your career been like up until today?
I believe the highlight of this movie is all the conflict and drama within the characters. They are all coming from different levels of society and backgrounds, yet the story merges all of their perspectives to create an interesting story.
My career thus far has been very rewarding. I have gotten great opportunities to show my skills and challenge myself throughout the years. But I’m extra excited about my role as a producer in this movie because it has showed me a new perspective in the movie industry- Therefore making me a more well rounded actor and creator.
Tell us more about your role in it and why you were drawn to auditioning for it.

My role in the movie is ANTON. He’s the man in black, slick, in his 30s, he looks like Alan Delon, his countenance is the pure definition of mysterious, very dangerous, and vigilant- not allowing anything to slip by him.

You speak many languages! In what ways does being immersed in so many cultures help you see things differently? I’ve been blessed to live in many different countries and cities. This has made me look at things differently; giving me a lot of experiences with different cultures. I believe that it has made me understand certain roles and characters more authentically while giving me a more creative eye. Share with us a story of a time you reinvented yourself and your life. Describe. Every country I’ve lived in has come with its own challenges and it’s been rewarding to look back at how I’ve adapted and overcome adversities. What do you hope to accomplish in the
upcoming years? I hope to continue challenging myself in the movie industry as well as excelling in new projects that I've been working on over the years. Favorite memory to date? One of my favorite memories was that I was in a Hollywood movie which was filmed in my hometown, dubrovnik. I was born there and have a lot of great memories. So being able to do what I love in the place I love most was very special and dear to my heart. What comes next? I can’t wait to finish the movie, send it to the film festivals and watch my dreams come to life. I will continue producing new projects and growing my career.

I dabbled in a few trends in the beginning because I was determined to put my original spin on my videos. I wasn’t sure whether my
