GUCCI CELEBRATES THE YEAR OF THE RABBIT
Art Director Photographer Max Siedentopf | Makeup Artist Daniel Sallstrom | Hair Stylist Ryan MitchellIn celebration of the festive season that precedes both the beginning of the Year of the Rabbit on the lunar calendar and the arrival of Spring, the House presents a vibrant capsule collection full of playful and refined iterations of the rabbit—an animal representing intelligence, health, and longevity.
Echoing the joyful mood of the occasion, the collection sees a fanciful use of color, print, and embellishment across ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, accessories, jewelry, and timepieces. Diverse depictions of the rabbit appear across the lineup, woven into knitwear, on embroidered patches, or in a distinctive spray-paint-style version seen on T-shirts, leather loafers, and G-Timeless watches. Womenswear sees a refined selection of printed silk blouses and skirts, along with boldly geometric pieces in contrasting hues. The men’s selection furthers the theme of playful graphic patterns in sporty silhouettes. Shoes conjure the essence of the rabbit with ear-like bows adorning heels and fleece textures enriching loafers. Special renditions of the House’s signature handbags from Gucci Diana totes with hand-painted stripes to Gucci Horsebit 1955 shoulder bags featuring precious leathers, tweeds, and studs, complete the capsule.
In the campaign captured by Max Siedentopf, vibrant colors set an exuberant tone, echoing the joyful spirit of the occasion that anticipates Spring’s arrival. To animate the collection, a cast of friends encounter rabbits in a fantastical field of flowers—the uplifting hues of the blooms amplifying the mood. Playful moments alternate with more sentimental ones in this dream-like meadow, with the soft light of the sunrise heralding the dawn of a new year.

DOLCE VITA Dolce Vita
THOUGH ELIZABETH PIPKO CHANNELED THE ICONIC SOPHIA LOREN FOR THIS SHOOT, TITLED DOLCE VITA, SHE INSISTS THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO THE STORY, BOTH IN THESE IMAGES, AND IN REAL LIFE.
“PEOPLE LOVE TELLING ME WHO I LOOK LIKE, OR WHAT I SHOULD BE DOING, OR EVEN WHAT I SHOULD BE SAYING. IT’S NEVER BEEN ABOUT TELLING ME TO EMBRACE WHO I REALLY AM” SHE SAYS.
Though she insists she's more than flattered to have gotten the chance to channel Sophia Loren for this glamorous cover story, she wants people to know that most of the time, nothing really is as it appears. “Dolce Vita refers to a life of sheer pleasure and luxury, something I’ve only witnessed truly possible in photographs.”
“People, much like the internet, have a strange way of twisting things,” she jokes. Though it is clear by the emotion behind her words that this joke is based very much on her reality.
Pipko is no stranger to controversy, telling us “being yourself is both the easiest and toughest thing you can do these days.” Pipko, who revealed that she is currently in her last semester as a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania, insists that the more the world learns about her, the less it seems that they actually know.
For a woman who often appears on television, radio, and in magazines, she says the world truly knows nothing of her hopes, dreams, and plans.
She told Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam in December 2021 that she intends to make a difference in the world, but even more than that, she wants to make it easier for others to do the same. Pipko reiterates that as she hits at the toll which the last few years have taken on so many around the world.
“Covid was really tough on everyone, but I actually think the world was already in a tough spot before the pandemic, and then when the virus hit, it just changed everything for so many.”
She insists that her future is still uncertain. Despite her many career turns and accomplishments, Pipko says doing good is the sole thing she is confident about when it comes to her future plans. Recently, she branched out into tech, as she announced the launch of the Let People Forget project, a global Holocaust remembrance project utilizing decentralized technology. It was her first step into the world of technology, but certainly not her first step into the world of advocacy.
Pipko has always spoken her mind, though she insists people often mistake her words for whatever it is that they would actually like to hear instead. She tells us, “next time you hear something about me, just know it’s probably not the full story.”
