The Ringling Museum
It’s going to be very difficult to give you all the information I want to on the next museum because it is not just one museum, but more like a group of museums. We are going to Sarasota to visit the Ringling Museum of Art. The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art is the state art museum of Florida. It was established in 1927 as the legacy of Mable and John Ringling for the people of Florida. Designated as the official state art museum for Florida, the institution offers 21 galleries of European paintings as well as Cypriot antiquities and Asian, American, and contemporary art. The museum’s art collection currently consists of more than 10,000 objects that include a variety of paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, and decorative arts from ancient through contemporary periods and art

Committee Roundup Wellness Committee Wellness Committee members submitted recommendations for the 2017 budget to Elizabeth Deckard. Suggestions were based on input from residents who had contacted committee members. Minutes from the meetings are posted on the HOA website along with other pertinent information concerning Health & Wellness. The announcement was made that The Palms will now be opening at 6:30am on Fridays. A TRX class was recently added at 8:30am on Tuesdays and Thursdays at The Palms taught by Ron Bravo. The list of classes with instructor’s name as well as a description of the class is available at The Palms and the Riviera Spa & Fitness Center sign-in desk. New classes are listed in “red.” The reason for having residents purchase passes for family members to use the pools in Solivita was explained; an attendant checks the passes on a regular basis. This process helps with security in Solivita. To contact a Wellness Committee member, email WellnessCommittee@SolivitaHOA.com.
