eing a part of such a dynamic homebuilder with several award-winning communities is such a wonderful experience. Tucked along the Treasure Coast, Vitalia at Tradition is truly a special community that is hard to come by. Driving through the lush palm entrance, we were in awe of the natural beauty that enriches this community’s landscape. More recently, we were able to get to know what Vitalia is known best for; the residents. During the putting green grand opening, so many folks from the neighborhood came out to support the community and its new amenity. Mixing and mingling with the crowd, we were able to witness first-hand the wonderful sense of spirit and pride the families who call this home have for their community. We couldn’t help but notice that there is always something

going on within the community! At the Captiva Club, enjoy Friday night dances, tiki bar pool parties, cooking demos, fitness classes, afternoon dominoes, and more all just a short stroll or golf-cart ride away. Packed with activities and special events, the resident’s monthly calendar promises to keep folks as busy as they want to be. Things are heating up around town, so what better time to show off this amazing community and invite friends to join you in living the life during a Discovery Days stay. With an all-access pass, they too can experience first-hand Port St. Lucie’s number one selling community and see why Vitalia at Tradition is the perfect fit. As the heart and soul of Vitalia, the hundreds of families who have settled down within these gates are what truly set Vitalia at Tradition apart from the rest.

community news

July is Here!

I

t's hard to believe that this beautiful facility, the Captiva Club, has been open for a year now! This month, I have just a couple of reminders as we try and keep cool in the summer heat.

Tyler Heel Community Manager theel@ evergreen-lm.com 877-221-6919

If you do not want your landscape trimmed by our landscapers, let me know. We will be placing a red reflector to the left of the garage about 12-18 inches off the ground. This will be the case for every house on the no trim list regardless if you have a mailbox or not (previously, the reflector was put on the back of the mailboxes). This is also an “all or nothing” service. We either trim all the shrubs\bushes\trees or trim no shrubs\bushes\trees. Now is the time to get those rooftops power washed and those houses painted. Letters will be coming soon. Thank you to those of you who have already completed these tasks! If you have a plan for getting these items completed, please let me know and I can note your file. Did you know? According to the documents, no sign of any kind shall be displayed in the public view on any property within Vitalia at Tradition. Public view means front and back yards. Thanks for your help with this.

CLEANING CORNER Did you know that roofs cleaned with a chemical solution delivered under low pressure will stay clean two to three times longer than roofs that are pressure washed with water? This is because the chemicals kill the roots of the mold that are in the tile, inhibiting re-growth. This is also true of driveways and pavers. When cleaned by a company that uses a mild solution plus pressure, concrete and brick surfaces stay cleaner longer, which saves homeowners money and hassle. Some exterior cleaning companies, when washing a house, use a mild cleaning solution instead of high pressure. This kills and removes mold and environmental pollutants and emulsifies and removes spider sacs and insect residue. This sort of cleaning can transform walls, soffits, and gutters, often making them look like new. It accomplishes a thorough clean with no damage to paint, stucco, soffits, or gutters. A reputable exterior cleaning company is licensed and insured, with trained technicians. They will clean responsibly, protecting plants and landscaping. If damage occurs, they will take care of it without fuss. If you need a recommendation stop in and see me!

Come Celebrate the One Year Anniversary of the Opening of the Captiva Club and Tiki Bar!

The book we’ll be discussing at our next meeting is Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng. The synopsis is below. Lydia is dead. But they don’t know this yet... so begins this debut novel about a mixedrace family living in 1970s Ohio and the tragedy that will either be their undoing or their salvation. Lydia is the favorite child of Marilyn and James Lee; their middle daughter, a girl who inherited her mother’s bright blue eyes and her father’s jet-black hair. Her parents are determined that Lydia will fulfill the dreams they were unable to pursue—in Marilyn’s case that her daughter become a doctor rather than a homemaker, in James’s case that Lydia be popular at school, a girl with a busy social life and the center of every party. When Lydia’s body is found in the local lake, the delicate balancing act that has been keeping the Lee family together tumbles into chaos, forcing them to confront the long-kept secrets that have been slowly pulling them apart. The upcoming book is The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins for August. In September we will discuss The Story Hour by Thrity Umrigar and in October, Madame Tussaud: A Novel of the French Revolution by Michelle Moran. Q: Can I call myself dead? A: You are not supposed to call yourself dead. You are supposed to play defensively until someone else calls you dead (and this is the wisest course, strategically speaking). However, I sometimes wish someone would hurry up and call me dead so I could do something less frustrating, like go get something to nibble on for a minute. (So I sympathize with those who would want to call themselves dead.) When I feel that way, I think about making an obviously wrong exposure to force someone to call me dead so I can take a break and cool off. But I haven't actually done that. If you happen to blurt out that you are dead, you aren't officially dead yet (you haven't been called dead, so you cannot stop playing). You must continue playing until somebody obligingly calls you dead and then you can take a break.

News from the Sunset Beach Tiki Bar Group

T

he Sunset Beach Tiki Bar Group meets every Sunday at the Sunset Beach Pool at 1pm. The group is open to all Vitalia residents. It’s a weekly party that has become a Vitalia tradition and a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon meeting up with old friends and neighbors as well as welcoming and meeting our new neighbors and any future neighbors who come to visit our community. On Sunday, May 3rd, the Tiki Bar Group held its first annual “Spring Don’t Break Anything Fest.” All had a fun afternoon with lots of food, music, and dancing.
