In my opinion, the best way to end your weekend or to start your week is by coming out to the club and enjoying brunch with us! We have a brunch menu every Sunday from 10am to 2pm (we have our regular dining menu available at 11am). I encourage everyone to try our delicious Breakfast Bowl. It has everything that you need in a breakfast meal: gravy, hash browns, & eggs! Also, on the back of the brunch menu is a cocktail list. Be sure to check that out and try one of our delicious drinks with your breakfast. The Thai Bloody is a fantastic twist on a traditional Bloody Mary; we use UV Sriracha vodka vs a traditional vodka to give it that little kick to wake you up. If you 7

For this month’s recipe I want to share a delicious hot coco recipe. It may be a simple recipe, but we have some cold months ahead of us and this can really hit the spot! There’s nothing better than a cup of hot coco to warm you up (and cheer you up) after shoveling an absolute ridiculous amount of snow.
Ingredients:
1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips 1½ cups heavy whipping cream 3 cups 2% milk 1 tablespoon butter ½ teaspoon kosher salt 2 tablespoons granulated sugar Coco powder and powdered sugar for dusting
Procedure: In a large metal or glass mixing bowl and your chocolate chips. Place the bowl over a small sauce pan with about 1 inch of water. Place on a cooktop on medium heat. This will slowly melt the chocolate chips without burning them. In a separate sauce pan add your cream, milk, sugar, butter and salt. Bring this to a simmer and pour into the chocolate chips. Mix well with a whisk. Once everything is incorporated and hot pour into a mug and dust with the coco and powdered sugar. Add a little peppermint schnapps for a added kick! Enjoy! 9

course is being protected under blankets from the cold temperatures and desiccating winds that can cause problems. Surprisingly, we have seen several snowcovered areas with no frost in the ground! This is uncommon in the Midwest in January. However, the lack of frost in the ground will hopefully allow the drainage lines to remain open and move water off the course into the lakes. The past several years we have maintained an ice-skating area on the pond below the clubhouse. This year, the weight of the snow has begun to push water up into the snow causing the snow to become saturated
and slushy, making it difficult to create an ice rink. We will try our best over the winter to 10
