Happy April! Let's hope spring weather will be making an appearance this month! I know we are all anxious to get the course open, we just need some cooperation from Mother Nature! Until we are able to see that green grass, we will keep you very busy with all of our events and activities here at the club!

Viva Las Ladies

Our Viva Las Ladies night is back again this year and it's going to be bigger and better than ever! We are stepping up our game this year with even more casino games, a live band (so you can dance the night away), all you can eat and drink, bag bingo (golf bags, purses, cooler bags, etc.), wine pull and silent auction! With the money raised we are hoping we can make a splash in the pool area by offering up some improvements (back pool bar, technology, etc.). This event is open for Oxbow ladies and their friends! Tickets are $100 and include all you can eat/drink, entry into casino games, rides home, a golf pass and more!

Donations: We are looking for donations for the event. If you have a business or would like to personally donate item(s) for the event please reach out to me at aja@oxbowcc.com.

Membership

This last month was one of the busiest I can remember when it comes to membership signups! We have added many new faces since January, please see the new member section of this newsletter to meet our new families. We are currently full for our golf memberships, which means we now have a waitlist for those and at the time of this newsletter going out we have 15 social spots available.

In light of this news if you are planning on dropping your membership this year (a reminder our membership year runs through June 30th) please email me or give me a call so we can make sure we adjust our membership availability accordingly Of course, we hope you all want to stay and continue to be members here at Oxbow!

2023 Stockholder Benefits

You should have received a few emails from me as well as seen social posts, but we have taken steps to enhance our stockholder benefits for 2023 and beyond Oxbow is driven by its members and being a stockholder means you have an active involvement and voice in the vision and decision making for your club. As a stockholder, your vote is critical in our annual elections, of which you are eligible to serve on the board. In addition, your voice is important in strategic matters benefiting or impacting the club, (i.e., sale of club owned real estate, member dues)

Due to your continued investment in the club, the Board is excited to share with you the following added annual benefits for Oxbow Stockholders.

New 2023 Oxbow Stockholder Annual Benefits:

6 Oxbow Guest Golf passes each year (must be used with stockholder & are valid for 1 year)

I am very excited about the opportunity to serve as your Membership Experience Director at OCC. I just want to thank everyone for their kind words and congratulations as I move into this new role, it has meant so much to me! I know I have big shoes to fill in this position, luckily Aja is here to mentor me and ensure there is not a lapse in your experience as I learn the ropes. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work alongside the management team, and I look forward to learning from each of them as we continue to provide our members with a club they can “Expect More” from.

I have alot of ideas for new events and others to help keep the fan-favorite events fun and fresh! If you have any ideas about what you might like to see on the calendar out here at the club, please feel free to contact me! My door and email are always open!

April and the early summer months offer all sorts of fun. However, with the change of seasons also comes the close of the arcade Our arcade will close on Sunday, April 23rd at 8 pm, so come on out and enjoy it for the last few weeks.

I would also like to point out that our membership availability is nearing capacity With that being said, if you know anyone who has been considering joining, please send them in my direction sooner than later!

You do not want to miss out on this day of fun. We will have a petting zoo featuring a camel and many other animals. The Easter Bunny will be joining us for the afternoon, and professional photos with him will be available for purchase. There will be a variety of games and activities for children of all ages as well as an easter egg hunt! This event is free to attend (reminder: professional photos have a charge). If you plan to join us for this day of fun, please sign up in the app!

EASTER BRUNCH

WHEN: SUNDAY, APRIL 9TH, SEATINGS 10AM-1:15PM

Join us on Easter Sunday for a feast! Chef Scott and his team are planning a wonderful spread with something for everyone! We are already booking out for this event with most of our early seatings reserved already. However!! There is still time. Our seatings beginning at 11:15 on throughout the day still have availability. You can reserve your family’s spot on the app. Just a few reminders for everyone: No Ala Cart services are available. The club will be closing at the end of the final seating and no dinner service will be available. We are not able to accommodate walk-ins for this event, reservations are required.

KIDS NIGHT: MAGICIAN

WHEN: FRIDAY, APRIL 14TH, 6 PM - 8:45 PM $20/child

Enjoy a quiet meal in the restaurant while your children get treated to an evening of fun. The price includes dinner and a Magician! Children must be potty-trained in order to attend; limited to 40 kids. Sign-up through the app is required. Parents must remain on-site, so remember to make a reservation for your table as well! Enjoy dinner & drinks in the bar/dining area and let us take care of the kids! The arcade and simulator will be closed to the general memberships for this event.

LAST TRIVIA- GRAB BAG

WHEN: TUESDAY, APRIL 18TH, 6:30PM

ANYONES WELCOME

Join us for the last trivia of the season! There will be 3 rounds of questions! The evening's overall winners will receive a $100 food and beverage credit. Teams limited to 6 people. This trivia could cover anything, so come prepared for a fun evening. Please let us know you are coming by reserving a table in the app.

This event is combining our daddy daughter dance and mother son event! This night is now for the whole family! Here are a few of the most commonly asked questions I get from members about their accounts:

I just made a payment on my account, why is it not showing up on my app?

Payments can be viewed on the app under the ‘Recent’ tab, which is found on the top left hand corner after you click on ‘Current statement’. Statements are generated once a month, so any payments made after you receive your statement will only show on the recent tab. This is also a great way to check for any discrepancies in your charges throughout the month.

Is gratuity automatically added to my check?

The 18% gratuity on Food & Beverage is only automatically applied if you do not sign your slip. If you would like to leave a custom tip, please ask your server for your slip. This will also give you a chance to make sure you were charged correctly, especially if you are dining with a larger group The automatic gratuity is not applied to the credit card or cash payments

Can I set up autopay and if so, what date is the autopay run?

We have two options for autopay – ACH or Credit Card. Please reach out to me for an authorization form to set this up Please note, there is a 3% additional fee to process autopay with a credit card. I run the autopay on the 10th of the month unless it falls on a weekend or holiday, which will then be run on the next business day.

Currently, I am receiving my statement via mail. Is there an option to send it via email?

Yes, please provide me with your email address and I will get it set up to send via email

Email is the best option to receive your statement. If you are currently signed up for emailed statements and are not receiving them, please let me know by emailing me at accounting@oxbowcc.com or calling me directly at 701-598-1112. Here’s to the sun shining and the snow melting!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone has been enjoying this wonderful North Dakota weather, hard to believe it’s already April…. even though it doesn’t look like it. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for spring…and over all this snow, will it ever go away…

March sure did fly past! It was a fun packed and exciting month! We sure have been busy worker bees, from kid’s night, trivia night’s, little parties and events here and there I want to give a shout out to everyone who came and enjoyed Character Brunch, it was a huge success!

Coming up for the month of April, some things to look forward to; we have the Eggstravaganza with the petting zoo on the 2nd, Easter Brunch on the 9th, so make sure you get your reservations in. Later in the month we have a kid’s night, then the last Trivia night for the season, The Tie’s and Tiara’s Dance on the 21st, and also a family bingo! Keep in mind, April is the last month for the arcade, so make sure you bring the fam out to get in on the fun before it’s gone!

Make sure you stay tuned to the Oxbow Facebook group to stay informed on what’s going on at the club from week to week! It’s also a good way to get a sneak peak on dinner specials, sushi, and desserts!

Another thing to keep on your radar, with the new golf/summer season upon us, we will very soon start looking to fill our summer staff! That being said, if you know anyone who is looking for a great summer gig, please sent them my way, or they can apply on our website!

Although we enjoy a snow day here and there, I think it’s safe to say winter can kindly make room for Spring.

Hello, Oxbow!

I really wish I was talking about the beginning of golf season. Unfortunately, as I write this we are on the eve of yet another winter storm. The one positive I can take away from it, I get a little more time to fine-tune some summer food options. I plan on having a very robust amount of grab-n-go options this year. Gone are the days of hot dogs and brats being the go-to. Obviously, those will still be an option. However, with the overnight success of sushi, we plan to stock the shacks with California rolls and maybe some other yummy sushi snacks. As always if you have any ideas that might fit with what we are trying to do let me know!

One subject I am excited to cover is staffing. The last couple of years going into golf season weren’t so rosy. This year I am full of confidence. I can say without a doubt in my mind, this is the BEST culinary staff I have had since I started with Oxbow. I can always use a dishwasher though. So, if anyone has a teenager that needs to start making some cash, send them my way!!

For this month I want to share my ponzu sauce recipe. This is a very easy recipe that goes great with fish, chicken, pork, or beef. It’s quite light and refreshing too.

CHEF SCOTT'S RECIPE OF THE MONTH: PONZU

SAUCE

Ingredients:

1 cup soy sauce

1 grated clove of garlic

1 tablespoon of grated ginger

Juice and zest of 2 oranges

Juice of 1 lemon

Juice and zest of 2 limes

2 tablespoons white sugar

1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

Procedure:

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until fully incorporated. This is great to brush on grilled meats and fish. You can also reduce this in a pot to make a very nice glaze. If it gets a little too salty add a little water and a little more sugar. Enjoy!!

Fingers crossed for those April showers! I am so excited for the weather to start to get nice, April is our time to get ready to kick things off for a busy fun-filled season.

We have wedding planning season starting this month, I love working with all the brides and grooms to help them bring their wedding dreams alive. Golf events are right around the corner as well, it’s fun to see the activity on the course after a long winter

We have been getting a lot of inquiries for weddings in 2023 and 2024! If you or someone you know has recently gotten engaged, please reach out and I would be happy to set up a time for a tour of the club.

If you are looking for some event space for any kind of event this summer, please reach out to me at theresa@oxbowcc.com or 701-598-1115. We have a great ballroom that can accommodate up to 300 guests and we also have our pool area that is great for birthday parties. I would be happy to help with any kind of event you are looking for.
