FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER Welcome to spring at Oxbow! As I write this, there is a blizzard outside, but we know that this will subside soon, and warmer weather will be on the way soon. Based on current forecasts, we are right now assuming the course will be open mid-April. However, we all know how weather can turn on a dime in our neck of the woods. We will of course keep everyone updated over the next couple of weeks as to the opening of the practice facility and golf course. There are many variables that go in to opening up the course, and I can promise you we are mindful of the excitement that comes when the weather warms up. We also know that some public courses will more than likely open up a little before we do, that is normal all around the country. Membership: We have welcomed many new member families to Oxbow since the beginning of the year. I want to thank all of our members who have referred their friends and colleagues to their club. We are truly focused on becoming a club that members can enjoy, all year round. We continued that this year with multiple fun winter events, as well as the Oxbow arcade. We will continue to make this a focus for years to come, as we look to keep adding wintertime fun for all of our members. In the meantime, please welcome our new members when you see them around the club, and assist them in any way you can. Food and Beverage Minimums: I hope everyone enjoyed the quarterly minimums for the first quarter of the year. Starting April 1st, we will go back to $90 monthly minimums. We hope this has given everyone a chance to make it out over the past three months. Spring Clean Up: We are diligently working on cleaning up around the clubhouse areas as snow continues to melt. This year has provided us with a different challenge than normal, in that there is quite a lot of mud and dirt from all of the winter winds this year. We just cleaned all the exterior windows, and have been power washing concrete walkways and parking lots. Please note that this is ongoing as the snow continues to melt, and we are working to ensure that the exterior appearance of the club and grounds are up to our standards.I want to thank David and his crew members for their work the past week on this.

MANAGER'S MESSAGE Sedi Halvorson General Manager sedi@oxbowcc.com Summer Employment: We are in the process of hiring seasonal teammates for the upcoming months. We still have openings for lifeguards, course maintenance, and food and beverage servers. If you know of anyone looking for a great summer job, please send them our way. Online applications can be found at www.oxbowcc.com and going to “About Us” and “Employment”. We receive completed applications in real time, and typically follow up within 24 hours. As most everyone is aware, it has become more difficult in the past couple of years to fill positions of any kind. However, we are fortunate enough to be a great place to work, with great members who treat our associates with kindness and respect. Thank you as always for helping us by treating our team so well. We have a lot of fun events coming up this month, please make sure to register on the app or website for popular events including Easter Brunch, the family Eggstravaganza, Daddy Daughter Dance, and much more! This will also be the last month of the arcade in the ballroom, so please enjoy all month long before we have it taken out at the end of the month. I hope to see many of you on the course this month, we can’t wait to see the daily activity around the club! In the meantime, enjoy all that your club has to offer! Sedi

ACCOUNTANT'S AVENUE Stacey Fett Controller accounting@oxbowcc.com

Hello and happy April. With golf season just around the corner, we expect the club to be busier and with that comes questions on charges, statements, etc. Below you will find some of the most common questions we get, but if you ever have any questions regarding your statement please reach out to me at accounting@oxbowcc.com How do I see my most recent charges? To keep an eye on your account, you can go to the app and click on current statement. This will take you to your account. On the top left, there is a ‘recent’ tab, this will show you all of your recent charges. If there are any discrepancies, please let me know and we can get it fixed. If you do not have the app or do not know how to run it, please let me know, I can look up your recent spending or can help you get acquainted with the app. When will I receive my monthly statement? Statements are processed by the 5th of the month. If you are not receiving your statement, please let me know so we can get your email and/or address updated in the system. When is payment due? Can I set up auto-pay? Payment for your account is due by the end of the month. If you are not already set up on auto-pay, please contact me for an ACH or Credit Card authorization form. Please note, there is a 3% fee to use your credit card. Auto-pay is completed on the 10th of the month. If the 10th falls on a weekend, I will process auto-pay on the next business day. Am I able to get an itemized copy of my charges each time I dine at the restaurant? Yes, you can get a copy of your check each time you come in and eat. This is a great way for you to make sure you are getting charged correctly for everything you ordered (especially if you are splitting apps/dinner with friends). Just ask your server and they will be happy to help you with this. -Stacey

FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER UPDATE Logan Winters-Helmbrecht Food and Beverage Manager logan@oxbowcc.com

Hello everyone! I hope everyone has had a great March; it sure did fly by really fast! I don’t know about you, but I am definitely excited that Spring will be just around the corner, and not only Spring, but also the upcoming golf/summer season! Looking back over the past month, I know it seemed like it went by quick, but we had quite a lot of things going on here at the club. We’ve had Kid’s Night filled with plenty of fun activities for the kiddos, including movies and craft, as well as trivia nights, and family bingo! In the past month we have also had Character Brunch, and that was a big success, thank you to all of you who came out for that, it was a very fun day! We have also had a couple member socials, props to Aja for always creating a fun night for all to enjoy! Overall, I think that it’s been a fantastic month here at Oxbow! Looking ahead at April, we have plenty of things to do for everyone, including the whole family! We have a kids night coming up at the beginning of the month, showing Hotel Transylvania, and there will be activities for the kiddos to do. Stay tuned to Aja for the upcoming member socials, I know Dueling Pianos is coming up, and that should be a fun night! We also have The Eggstravaganza, as well as Easter Brunch, The Princess Ball, and plenty of other fun things to do! Make sure you check out the event guide for more info! Looking on the Food & Beverage side of things, one thing I will have in the works for the upcoming summer season is a specialty cocktail menu. Please feel free to send me your ideas or if there is something you’d like to see on the cocktail menu. Myself and the team have lots of ideas, but definitely are open for more! As the Spring season approaches, if there are things you’d like to see out the in the shacks, or also the beverage cart, please let me know! As we get closer and closer to the new season, you will start to see some returning staff members, and also new ones. Don’t hesitate to say hello, and welcome them to Oxbow! If you know of anyone who is looking for a great summer job, please send them our way! I certainly am looking forward to Spring, warm weather, seeing the trees start budding, the golf course turn more green, and even April showers! Bring on April! Can’t wait to see you! -Logan

WEEKLY SPECIALS

CHEF'S CORNER Scott Motschenbacher Executive Chef chef@oxbowcc.com

Hello, Oxbow! Hard to believe it’s April already. Golf is days away. Hard to believe considering we just had a blast of snow. With the golf season approaching I have been working on some fun grab n go options. I was recently in Nashville for a Club Chef’s conference. There was soooo many things to soak in. I grabbed every business card and pamphlet I could get my hands on. It was a real blessing to be able to learn from some of the speakers, vendors, and fellow chefs. For the month of April, we have some fun events coming up. Eggstravaganza, Easter brunch, and Dueling pianos to name a few. With all of that going on I am also going to be working on our spring menu. I will have a couple new toys at my deploy. The major one is our smoker. This is going to be a game changer. We’ll still be able to do all the stuff everyone loves but now we can do it with smoke! Smoked ribs on a Monday….. say WHAT??? To say I am excited would be a giant under statement! There are so many reasons to be excited for the upcoming golf/pool season. For me, it’s staff, compared to a year ago we are in a much better place. I have been able to hire some truly fantastic people. Enthusiastic people. We will have at least one culinary intern as well. We did lose one of my key guys though, Tim Ramsdell. He has been with me for over 5 years and has been a huge part of the culinary program. He will be sorely missed. I feel very confident in the rest of my staff. We are planning on a great season. For this month’s recipe I want to share my smoked St. Louis style ribs. I prefer this style over baby backs for the simple reason of fat. Fat it what helps to keep your proteins juicy during the cooking process.

ST. LOUIS STYLE RIBS Ingredients: 1 rack St. Louis style ribs 1 cup of last month’s recipe ½ cup yellow mustard

Procedure: First you need to remove the connective tissue from the bone side of the ribs. On the bone side you will see one end has more bone than meat. On the corner of the bone use a fork and stick it between the bone and the tissue. Once you are able to peel enough of it back you can get a grip on it. Just pull it off. It should run most of the way down the ribs. Now you will coat with mustard and last month’s recipe. Let the ribs sit out for at least 1 hour no more than 3. Now you will place in either an oven, smoker, pellet grill or anything else that can maintain a temperature of 225 degrees. Stay away from anything that has direct heat (gas or charcoal grill). Close the lid and set a timer for 4 hours. This temp and time is pretty much a set it and forget it. Don’t bother checking until you pass the 4-hour mark. You’re just going to lose precious heat. Enjoy with a cold beer and friends!

GOLF SHOP UPDATE Corey Herlickson Head Golf Professional corey@oxbowcc.com

After two years of COVID-19 openings, it looks like this year will finally have us back to a normal year. We expect even more play this year than last year so we are encouraging you all to make sure you have a tee time each time you play. I will save you the trouble of having to wait until the tee opens up. We will have some new faces on our team and some familiar faces as well. We have had a tough time finding a 1st Assistant Golf Professional, but we have an eager 2nd Assistant, Sam Hendricks, who will be taking on the challenge. We also have Peggy, Nick and Sam Henke to help us out. We always know we can count on them when we need help! We want to congratulate Kyle Althoff on his win in the finals of the TrackMan Cup. This will be the second year the TM Cup will be in possession by an Althoff. Kyle’s father, Jon, won it in 2021! We will be getting new range balls sometime in April, so in the meantime we will use our range balls from last year. The new balls were supposed to be delivered in February, but do to supply chain issues they will be late. We are crossing our fingers they come in about the same time we open up! PXG will be releasing a new generation of clubs the first weekend of April. We have partnered with them again in 2022 to have a lot of fitting days out here at Oxbow just like we did last year. We are working on the schedule right now and we will publish the dates as soon as we have the schedule finalized. The Golf Guide will be out very soon. It has all of the information you need to know about golf at Oxbow. It will be on the Golf Shop Weekly Update each time until the end of the season as well. The Battle at the Bow Lottery will be on Thursday, April 7th starting at 7:00 PM. Come join us beforehand while you watch The Masters! -Corey

NEWS FROM THE FAIRWAY David Wood Superintendent david@oxbowcc.com

We have started preparing the course for opening this spring. Removing fences and ropes that protect greens and bunkers has been completed. Snow fence stakes are still frozen into the ground and will be removed in the coming days. There are several drain lines that have not opened yet, so we are forced to pump some water out of the catch basins. Greens covers will be removed when the frost is out and the weather forecast shows favorable temperatures at night. Our goal is to mow the fairways, approaches and tees once before opening to clean everything up. Green preparations in the spring are a bit more extensive. Besides removing the winter covers, the fall sand topdress covers the plants and needs to be managed. Our goal is to solid tine aerate and vertical cut the putting surfaces to incorporate as much sand as possible into the canopy. The vertical cut will also thin out excessive plants, providing space for the granules and improving the putting surface spring quality. I anticipate a mid-April opening looking at the forecast which is about average for this area. All the fall preparations appear to have worked as planned and we look forward to a successful opening soon. See you on the course. David Wood

CATERING MANAGER UPDATE Theresa Keimig Catering Manager theresa@oxbowcc.com

As I write, we are just finishing up a long winter here at Oxbow. I hope everyone has had a warm fire or a sunny window to sit by to escape from the cold! Luckily, we can all rest assured that warm weather is on our horizon and spring will be here soon. In the meantime, head out to the club and have some fun in the arcade. Remember if your organization needs to hold a meeting or social event the Oxbow Ballroom is the perfect spot for small or large groups. Don’t forget it’s never too early to start thinking about summer plans including pool parties for the kiddos. Last summer the pool deck booked up pretty fast so let me know if I can make a reservation for you. Thanks and have a great April! -Theresa
