FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER FINALLY! As we prepare to open the golf course for our membership, we are truly excited to get the season under way! As usual, we have lots of activities and events coming up on the calendar for you, and now we get to add in golf events as well. Please make sure to check out the events calendar in the following pages, as well as info on all of our outstanding member events this month. The team here is busy getting ready for the season, continuing to hire seasonal teammates, and planning for all the fun that is coming up! We are still searching for a couple more lifeguards to join our team, so please spread the word! Membership We continue to be encouraged by all of the new member families joining Oxbow! A growing membership is vital to a country club, as dues revenue is what enables us to provide all of the amenities that our members want. Last year we got off to a very fast start due to the great weather and early course opening. This year has been a little slower, but we anticipate now that the weather is warming up, we will have many more members join us this year. Annual Meeting The Annual Meeting will be Monday, June 6th, at 6:30PM. We will cover 2021, as well as look at 2022 and beyond. We will also have our Board of Directors election. We hope you can join us! 2022 Golf Season As we get in to golf season, a couple of reminders to all of our golf members. Please make sure you have full sand and seed bottles when you start your round. Typically, we have many ready to go on your cart or by the golf shop. If there are none, please notify the golf shop. We have an amazing golf course, please assist by filling your fairway and tee divots. Additionally, always repair ball marks on the greens, and try to repair two if you can.

MANAGER'S MESSAGE Sedi Halvorson General Manager sedi@oxbowcc.com
May Hours As the weather continues to warm up, and the sun is out longer, we continue to extend our hours of operation. We open up earlier tee times, as well as start opening up in member dining a bit earlier. Snack and Beverage huts will also open this month, around mid-May, as we are able to get more team members to serve you once school is done for the year. Starting May 1st and up to Memorial Day weekend, club hours are as follows: Tee Times:
Noon on Monday 9AM Tuesday – Friday 8AM Saturday & Sunday The bar is open for beverage service ½ hour before the first tee time, food service begins at 11AM, Monday – Saturday, 10AM Sunday. The practice facility is also ready for member use ½ hour before the first tee time daily, all through the day and evening. Starting Memorial Day weekend, weekday tee times (Tuesday – Friday) start at 8AM, weekend 7:30AM. Monday is still at noon so David can spend extra time on course maintenance projects. Pool Finally, just a reminder that the pool will open Memorial Day weekend, on Saturday May 28th. We will have many events and activities at the pool this summer, and of course lots and lots of ice cream. The pool complex is open daily from 11AM to 8PM. We are also adding an adult swim on Friday nights from 8PM to 10PM. Remember to get the kids signed up for swimming lessons as well. The weather is starting to look warmer, and we are just getting started with the next five plus months of summer fun! See you at YOUR club! Sedi

ACCOUNTANT'S AVENUE Stacey Fett Controller accounting@oxbowcc.com
Happy May! This month I am running down some of our most common questions in regards to billing. How do I see my most recent charges? To keep an eye on your account, you can go to the app and click on current statement. This will take you to your account. On the top left, there is a ‘recent’ tab, this will show you all of your recent charges. If there are any discrepancies, please let me know and we can get it fixed. If you do not have the app or do not know how to run it, please let me know, I can look up your recent spending or can help you get acquainted with the app. I made a payment, why hasn't my statement balance in the app changed? Statements are only processed once a month (around the 5th of the month). So the statement balance you see when you check your account on the app, will not change for the month even after you have made a payment. However you can go to your recent charges (see question above) to see that your payment has been processed. How can I pay my bill? There are several payment options. Our preferred method is autopay, please contact me for an ACH or Credit Card authorization form. Please note, there is a 3% fee to use your credit card. Auto-pay is completed on the 10th of the month. If the 10th falls on a weekend, I will process auto-pay on the next business day. You can also make payments on the app/website, send a check to the club, or you can drop off payment in my mailbox, which can be found in the first room down the administration office hallway. Am I able to get an itemized copy of my charges each time I dine at the restaurant? Yes, you can get a copy of your check each time you come in and eat. This is a great way for you to make sure you are getting charged correctly for everything you ordered (especially if you are splitting apps/dinner with friends). Just ask your server and they will be happy to help you with this.

FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER UPDATE Logan Winters-Helmbrecht Food and Beverage Manager logan@oxbowcc.com
Hello everyone, dare I say it, Happy Spring! The time has finally come for the grass to turn a brighter shade of green, things to start blooming, and the days to start getting warmer(hopefully), and most important, the course to open! I hope ya'll are just as excited for the upcoming season as I am! Looking back over the past month, I know it seemed like it went by quick, but we had quite a lot of things going on here at the club. We’ve had Kid’s Night filled with plenty of fun activities for the kiddos. We also had Foodie Trivia night, props to Ashley Champ and her band of foodie friends on their victory. The Eggstravagaza, Easter Brunch and the Princess Ball were all a big success, thank you to all of you who came out and enjoyed that, all of them were great days packed with lots of fun! We have also had a couple member socials, I’d say Dueling Pianos was a huge hit, as well as It’s All Cans & Games, thank you to everyone who came out and tried some great canned choices for the club and course for the upcoming year! As always props to Aja for always creating a fun night for all to enjoy! Overall, I think that it’s been a fantastic month here at Oxbow! Looking ahead at May, we have plenty of things to do for everyone! We have a kids night coming up at the beginning of the month, showing Ice Age: Buck Wild, and there will be activities for the kiddos to do. We also have Mother’s Day Brunch, Ladies Night, and plenty of other fun things to do! So many great things happen in May, the golf course and also the pool will be up and running like clockwork in no time, the patio will be open, and soon enough, spring will turn into SUMMER! I hope everyone has a great May, can’t wait to see all of you enjoying your club! Cheers! -Logan
CHEF'S CORNER Scott Motschenbacher Executive Chef chef@oxbowcc.com
Hello Oxbow! I think we can finally safely say that it is time for golf! With golf finally being back that means we will see a big rise in our grab-n-go menu. I have been working on some healthier options such as a fruit and yogurt parfait. I want to try and expand this a little more than previous years and add some healthier options. At our recent member social, I offered some different hot dog, brat, and sausage options. Everyone that attended voted on what they thought was the best. We have a few obvious winners. So be sure to look for those in the near future. Update on the smoker. I’ve been talking about our smoker for quite some time now. We recently got word that it was going to be delayed until mid-June. However, we were able to cancel that order and found the exact same unit elsewhere and it will be delivered in the coming days!! Another fun piece of equipment that we are getting is an oven. I actually won this when I was at my Chef to Chef conference. This isn’t any ordinary oven. It combines a few different technologies. This oven can cook a frozen pizza in one minute and thirty seconds. It’s pretty crazy stuff. This oven will allow us to open up a “late night” menu. It is extremely user friendly. I will be able to teach our serving staff how to use it. I hope to have this here in the next few weeks. For this month’s recipe I want to share our prime rib rub. I think this is a good share for Mother’s Day.
PRIME RIB RUB Ingredients: 1 cup Dijon mustard ½ cup vegetable oil ¼ cup fresh cracked black pepper 1/3 cup kosher salt ¼ cup fresh chopped garlic 4 sprigs fresh thyme 4 sprigs flat leaf Italian parsley 2 sprigs fresh tarragon Procedure: Remove the leaves from your fresh herbs and chop very finely. Mix all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl, cover and refrigerate overnight. Pull your prime rib out and let it come to room temperature. Coat the outside of the prime rib with mixture and let it sit out an additional 2 hours. Roast your prime rib low and slow 250 degrees until you’ve reached an internal temp of 115 degrees. Let it rest for no less than 15 minutes before carving. Enjoy with some fresh horseradish and au jus!
GOLF SHOP UPDATE Corey Herlickson Head Golf Professional corey@oxbowcc.com
With the opening of the golf course comes some reminders for you: Please check in with the golf shop before you go out to play. We track the rounds of golf being played for benchmarking. If you want to save time and you are in a large group, one person can come in and make us aware of who is playing. Please fill your divots with the sand and seed provided on our golf carts and repair you ball marks on the green. If you can, repair multiple ball marks just in case someone forgot to repair their ball mark. Extra sand and seed bottles are found at the food stations on the golf course if you run out. Please do not play on the golf course with our range balls. We switched over to a premium range ball in 2021 and we noticed a lot of them on the golf course and in the water on the golf course. Please leave the bunker rakes in the bunker with the handle out of the bunker. If you are older than 12 years of age, you must wear proper golf attire on the range and golf course. Please see the Golf Guide for specific details. USGA Handicaps Please post all of your scores. Regardless of the number of holes you play, you must post a score. If you do not finish your round whether it be nine holes or eighteen holes, you must post a score. Estimate what you would have made on the holes you didn’t play to get a complete score for your round. It is extremely important that we have handicap integrity with all members. With the number of golf tournaments we play at Oxbow, everyone should have a fair chance at competing. We have a handicap committee which consists of members of the golf committee. Their job is to ensure handicaps are maintained properly. They review handicaps each month. If they find any issues, you will be approached by them about your handicap. They can make manual revisions to anyone’s handicap at any time. Each member gets a handicap with their membership so if you don’t have one set up at Oxbow CC, please see the golf shop so they can set it up for you. Best of luck on attaining your golf goals this season!!!
NEWS FROM THE FAIRWAY David Wood Superintendent david@oxbowcc.com
The removal of greens covers on April 21 is the latest that we have uncovered the greens. Thanks to all the member volunteers and staff, we were finished in about 4 hours. The surfaces look good and will need to be mowed a few times to remove excess sand and grass. We were hoping to aerate and vertical cut the greens prior to opening but due to an abundance of moisture and cold temperatures that will be postponed until May. Last year at this time, we had the irrigation system pressurized and watering on a regular basis. Early spring openings normally result in some damage to the course due to lack of plant growth. Traffic concentration in bottleneck areas by tees and green cart paths are the first areas of concern. We will be adding additional traffic control stakes to assist in varying patterns early in the season. With the heavily saturated soils please keep carts on the paths and out of native areas. After some earlier concerns with staffing levels, we have filled all our open positions. Thank you to all that helped recruit new team members. This year’s staff will have less experience in golf maintenance than last year’s crew so the first month will involve additional training. With the greens coming out of dormancy and not having consistent color it can be difficult to see ball marks, please take the time to find and repair ball marks. See you on the course. David Wood
CATERING MANAGER UPDATE Theresa Keimig Catering Manager theresa@oxbowcc.com
Hello everyone! Happy May! I am so excited for the weather to start to get nice, May is the month that we really start to kick things off and the club gets busy. I hope everyone is getting ready for a busy and fun filled summer! We have weddings season staring up again in May. I love working with all the brides and grooms to help them bring their wedding dreams alive. Golf events are right around the corner as well, it’s fun to see the activity on the course after a long winter. We have been getting a lot of inquiries for weddings in 2023! If you or someone you know has recently gotten engaged, please reach out and I would be happy to set up a time for a tour at the club. If you are looking for some event space for any kind of event this summer, please reach out to me at theresa@oxbowcc.com or 701-598-1115. We have a great ballroom that can accommodate up to 300 guests and we also have our pool area that is great for birthday parties. I would be happy to help with any kind of event you are looking for. I hope everyone has a great month and is able to get outside and enjoy the hopefully nice weather, fingers crossed!! Theresa
