BOARD OF DIRECTORS

JOEL LIVINGOOD, GENERAL MANAGER

This last week has been filled with many mixed emotions. As I reflect on the past 11 years, I canDAVE CAMPBELL - VICE PRESIDENT not help but be thankful for all of the opportuniTAMI HENKE - SECRETARY ties afforded to me here. From picking up golf JAY BARTLEY DJ RIEGER balls on the driving range to being appointed general manager at the end of 2011, it has been nothCHRIS CHAMP BRITTON MATTSON ing shy of a dream come true. I don’t know if I can JEFF KRUGER JOE TALLEY ever put into words what this club and its members mean to me. Oxbow is home and always will be. I am fortunate to leave with memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. MANAGEMENT STAFF CHRIS HOLLAND - PRESIDENT

JOEL LIVINGOOD GENERAL MANAGER / COO JOEL@OXBOWCC.COM; EXT. 29

ALISON MOLONY

I am also fortunate to leave knowing we are a better club today than we were three years ago. We have enjoyed three years of membership growth and financial success, the golf course is in top condition, and we have reached an agreement with the Diversion Authority that will help us build a club suited for generations to come.

Much of that success is due to the team who has surrounded me each day with ideas, energy, dedication, and passion for what they do. David Wood is a true class act and expert in his field. I cannot express what a pleasure it has been to work and learn with him. James Kerr sets the bar for himJAMES KERR EXECUTIVE CHEF self as high as anyone and strives each day to build a culinary program CHEF@OXBOWCC.COM; EXT. 22 that meets the wants and needs of our dynamic membership. Alison is as good as they get; I have never seen someone connect with people the TOM KEPPEL way she can and she always has a positive attitude. She has the unique CONTROLLER ability to anticipate client’s wants and needs before they even know it is ACCOUNTING@OXBOWCC.COM; EXT. 10 what they want and need. John has seen it all in his 32 years and I will miss his mentorship and advice on a daily basis. And Tom is the heart of JOHN DAHL, PGA activity behind the scenes. His part-time post-retirement job has turned HEAD GOLF PRO into much more than I think I let on, but you can see his love for Oxbow. JDGOLF@OXBOWCC.COM MEMBER ENGAGEMENT & EVENTS ALISON@OXBOWCC.COM; EXT. 12

I would also like to recognize the member volunteers who dedicate their time to serve on the board of directors and many club committees for SUPERINTENDENT their part in our success. We would not be where we are today without DAVIDW@OXBOWCC.COM their strategic leadership, feedback, and support. I am confident this group will select a terrific person to be the next general manager. Oxbow is a great place to work with a bright future and I anticipate a lot of interest in the position. A national search is already underway and Chris Holland will be chairing the search committee.

DAVID WOOD

In closing, I want to wish each of you, every member as well as all of our wonderful staff I have had the pleasure of working with, the very best life has to offer. Take care of yourselves, and most importantly of all, take care of each other. Not goodbye, but see you later ... Joel 2

Chef James’

The season has come to an end, and winter is here. The culinary staff and I had a great time this season with a lot of fun tournaments and member events that we truly enjoyed. The Farm to Fairway dinner was one of our favorites. It was great to try a new event and have such good feedback for it. We are looking forward to it next season. We are also looking forward to the upcoming fall ladies’ night out. We will be selling pies at our vendor booth...so make sure you stop by and place an order!

David Wood Superintendent We are planning on putting up snow fence stakes and topdressing greens on holes 10-16, 8 and 9 on Thursday, November 6th. Holes 1-7, 17, and 18 will remain open for play on Thursday. We will then close the remaining golf holes on Friday, November 7th. If the forecast changes as the week progresses, we will review these dates for possibly remaining open. With the season transitioning to winter, temperature is the main factor in determining our golf course closure date-not because the ground starts to freeze, but because the topdressing sand freezes. Topdressing is the process of applying a light layer of sand over the green as a protective coating. Topdressing the greens in the fall is one way of protecting the greens from the harsh winter winds and extremely low temperatures. The wind can cause desiccation or drying out of the plants which will result in turf loss. Another protective measure we deploy is the use of snow fence. The exposed greens will have a fence installed around the north side of each green to collect a protective layer of snow to help insulate it through the winter. Once these jobs are done, we will turn our attention to servicing our rental cart fleet and maintenance equipment. All 55 rental and beverage carts will have a winter service so they are ready for the next season. Then, the mowers will all be sharpened and repaired before we open the course again. Construction on the new golf holes has progressed on schedule. The wet well for the irrigation system has been set and the intake pipe to the pond is being installed. Erosion control around the ponds is about half-completed. This is a state requirement and will also keep the unwanted material out of the lake cavity. Lastly, the soil being placed for the levee contours on Holes 11, 12, and 16 is being moved and rough shaped. Bruce Charlton will visit one more time in November to review work done this year. See you on the course. David Wood

JOHN DAHL HEAD GOLF PRO It appears that another great summer and fall have come to an end much too quickly. October was a great month for golf with some very nice days and great member participation in our final few events. Last month ended with the always-exciting Hot Ball Tournament. The team of Paul Hilt, Scott Differding, Chris Knapp, and Lance Barton finished in first place. Rich Menze, Jim Tallakson, Zach Schnitzler, and Jake Whiting came in second, followed by the team of Bill Short, Taylor Cavanagh, Paul Benson, and Nick Lakoduk. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon filled with fun and great golf. We would like to extend a big THANK YOU to everyone who played and congratulations to those who finished in the money! The Jack-O-Lantern concluded the tournament season here at Oxbow with 30 teams of members and guests competing in an exciting Alternate Drive Scramble event. The weather could not have been better for the event. Congratulations to Steve Ratti and Kevin Meyer--these guests are no strangers to our open events or the leaderboard! The father-son duo of Tom and Kane Hanson finished one stroke back in second place followed by Chris and Michelle Feland in third. The teams of Greg Melhus and Gary Johnson, Rick Zook and Kim Kappes, Mike Bindas and John Samuelson, and Bill Short and Shawn Sperle finished fourth through seventh, respectively. Congratulations to all of these teams and again, a big thank you to everyone who made it a great day! The Summer Long Best Ball once again turned into the Season Long Best Ball, but was concluded in the month of October, nonetheless. Rich Menze and Jim Tallakson defeated Justin Staehr and Jay Bartley with a long birdie putt on the first extra hole to take home the championship match. Congratulations to both teams for grinding it through the tough bracket and providing an exciting championship. Greg Melhus and Aaron Greterman took home the consolation championship after putting together a string of nice rounds after an early exit from the championship bracket. Way to ham and egg it out there, fellas. Congratulations! Thank you to everyone who participated. It was an exciting season! As the season wraps up we would like to remind everyone who has credit to come in and use it before we shut the course down for the season. We still have an excellent selection of Travis Matthew, Dunning, and FootJoy apparel. We also have great FootJoy shoes, wedges, and putters that will help lower your scores on your trips this winter and next spring. Ladies, we didn’t forget about you! We have a great selection of Sport Haley, Antigua, Nike and Adidas apparel that will have you looking and playing your best! We would like to thank everyone for another fun and memorable year here at your club and we look forward to providing you with exceptional service, products, and exciting events again next year! As always, your support of the golf shop is greatly appreciated. John Dahl
