Preview Planetside 2
PlanetSide 2 has really nice clouds. As they bubble up over the rust red mesas of the Indra continent they occlude the sun, casting undulating shadows in realtime and leaking ghostly, shimmering rays. If you care to hop into an aircraft and point your nose up, you can lose yourself in the fogbank – which may be a hazard or a blessing depending on who’s chasing you.
‘Ha, they’ll never find me down here.’
PlanetSide 2 does big and it does beautiful. To some extent it has to in order to overcome the dual stigma of being both an MMO and a free-to-play game, neither of which are famed for their glitzy production qualities.
Preview Black Ops 2
Set in the year 2025,Call of Duty: Black Ops II propels players into global conflict featuring advanced weaponry, robotics, and drone warfare in a new Cold War scenario whose seeds are being sown in today’s headlines. New graphics technology drives the stunning cinematic action of the single-player campaign’s branching storylines and non-linear missions.
Preview RaiderZ
RaiderZ wasn’t on the top of my “Must See” list when I went to PAX East a couple weeks ago. I knew a few things about it, but I was really excited to see other games like Neverwinter, Smite, and DDO. But while I was at the Perfect World meeting room talking about Neverwinter, RaiderZ’s producer Mark Hill came over and told me a bit about their upcoming monster hunter MMO. It sounded fairly intriguing, so I decided to give it a shot.
Camp canbarely see it! Camp it? I can
Right after I got my armor polished!
Perfect World seems to be aiming for the hardcore crowd with RaiderZ’s mechanics, and, from my first impressions, I think it has a chance at success. As Hill said, this is a “very loot-heavy, very drop-heavy game,” and we all know hardcore players love to amass loot.
Preview Sleeping Dogs
Square Enix’s next game, Sleeping Dogs, is a bit of a hypocrite. Its name is derived from that old proverb about “letting sleeping dogs lie,” but the Square completely ignored that advice when it resurrected the dozing open-world adventure game after it had been deemed too troublesome by Activision and left for dead. But that may turn out to be a very good thing. The new publisher must’ve seen something in the former True Crime: Hong Kong that Activision didn’t, and it’s not content to let Sleeping Dogs lie for long.
Wei Shen’s new moves take influence from Batman’s recent adventures.
From what I’ve seen and played so far, Sleeping Dogs isn’t as concerned with innovation as it is with iteration, pulling from outside the open-world genre to create a slicker and more cinematic sandbox affair. Their main goal is to improve the aspects that other open-world entries make barely passable, specifically hand-to-hand combat, on-foot movement and street racing.
Preview Sniper Elite V2
Sniper Elite was, in the words of Rebellion’s CEO and creative director Jason Kingsley, a game “many more people have heard of than actually played.” The tactical thirdperson shooter was set during World War II, with the player sneaking and sniping his way through the Nazi army while trying to discover the secrets of the atomic bomb.
Sniper Elite V2 will be self-published by Rebellion on the PC, which Kingsley reckons will bring in more money for the company as well as providing a fluid experience for PC gamers. “It’s frustrating as a developer and a game player to not be able to change something that you know needs changing,” says Kingsley. “We can now, and we are going to be supporting it.”
Preview Dungeons and Dragons Online: Menace of the Underdark
Dungeons and Dragons Online has received many, many updates since it launched six years ago, but Menace of the Underdark is the first that the developers at Turbine have deigned large enough to warrant that “expansion” title. It’ll raise the level cap from 20 to 25, add a new class in the form of the shape shifting Druid and add huge new zones set in, around and underneath some the Dungeons and Dragon’s most famous lands in the Forgotten Realms.
In the Underdark, treasure chests loot you.
Menace of the Underdark is looking good. It’s got some huge, beautiful zones, an intriguing new class and will add some of DDO’s biggest monsters yet. It’ll be available to buy from the in-game store, too, which is good news for players with lots and lots of Turbine points. It’s set to be released on June 25.
Game of the week
Metal Gear Solid 4 !!!
O sistema nanotecnológico que as PMCs usam é chamado de “Sons of the Patriots” (SOP).

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
While fighting through the streets of New York, Paris, London, Prague, Berlin and more in Modern Warfare 3, I keep coming back to this. If you compare the Call of Duty series to, say, Skyrim, or even Half-Life 2, then it’s a regressive, controlling, anti-gaming experience. Don’t compare it to those games, then. Modern Warfare 3 is an arcade rail shooter, except you can control your legs a bit. It feels this way because, for the first time, Infinity Ward have got the scripting right. Modern Warfare 1 and 2s bombastic scenarios frequently left you in the dark, unsure whether progress meant killing all the henchmen or tripping an invisible barrier to stop them infinitely respawning. In Black Ops, wild over-scripting left you feeling unnecessary; whole levels seemed to pass without you needing to fire a shot.

Battlefield 3
A helicopter just buzzed over my head, thirty feet above the ground. It was moving quickly, skirting around a hill, firing its main gun at an enemy I couldn’t see. I stopped running and just stared at it. I do this a lot. Battlefield 3’s multiplayer makes me want to place a deckchair in the desert and watch the chaos happening all around. On its best maps – like the 64-player Caspian Border – every pixel on screen flickers with battle. I’ll climb to a rooftop and just freeze. In the distance, smoke stacks rise from a burning forest. In the air above me, jets twirl, chased by artillery. On the ground below, a tank has smashed through the lower floors of the building. I’ll spot a glimmer from a hillside 300 metres away, and it’ll be a sniper readying to kill me.

Hints
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Gold camo
Reach Level 31 in Multiplayer mode for a weapon by getting 1,000 kills with it to unlock the Gold camo for the weapon.
Secret killstreak
Get a 25 (24 with Hardline) killstreak using only your gun/knife/equipment (killstreak kills do not count) to get a M.O.A.B. (Mother Of All Bombs). When activated, it will kill all enemies on the map, no matter where they are, as well as disable the enemy's equipment, electronics, and pointstreaks for one minute. Additionally, the team with the person who calls in a M.O.A.B. will get double XP for the rest of the match.
Easy XP
Once you reach Level 20 in Multiplayer mode, use the Specialist Killstreak package to get a lot of extra XP. Create a class with the Hardline perk and use the Specialist Killstreak package. You will get extra points at kills 1, 3, 5, and 7. It will also help you complete the perk's challenges and the Specialist challenges for each perk. You will be completing the perks, and each perk has a Specialist perk challenge to it. For example, if at one kill you unlock Assassin, you will be completing Assassin challenges while also completing the "Assassin" Specialist challenge. You will get a lot of XP as you complete these challenges in addition to the 200 XP you get for kills 1, 3, 5, and 7 each time. This works best in modes where you get a lot of kills. Additionally, you get extra points for kills 8, 9, 10, etc. as long as you have all the perks enabled and have not died.
Easy Blast Shield Pro
Throw a Flash or Concussion grenade at the wall so it bounces back at you and stuns you. It will be counted as deflecting an explosion for the Blast Shield Pro. Note: This glitch was done on an unpatched version of the game.
Hints
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Easy SitRep Pro
Once you unlock the Trophy System tactical equipment, assign it to a class, and deploy it. Then, knife it, and it will count towards destroyed enemy equipment for the SitRep Pro. Note: This glitch was done on an unpatched version of the game.
Reducing lag
At the multiplayer main menu, select "Options", then disable the "Theater Recording" option to help reduce lag during online games.
