L&OD Global Shared Service Proposal
INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE (IA) GLOBAL LMS HTTPS://ELEARNING.OXFAM.ORG
What is it? IA PRINCIPLES Accessible/Understandable: A simple vernacular is used (ie. we won’t use the work vernacular!) to identify the main learning topics and categories. We avoid the use of highly technical or human resource centric terms. The platform is easily accessible in tone and style for the novice, as well as the more advanced learners. Inclusive: The terms used are easily understood across geographies and office locations, as well as easily understood across all Oxfam languages. Consistent: The terms used will be applied similarly across other global Oxfam digital platforms – allowing users to navigate across with the same general info architecture for learning opportunities.
An information architecture (IA) supports content/course providers with a simple means to organize, classify and share information. A well-constructed IA allows users to easily find and use the information on a digital platform.
