What is our purpose in this world? What is our dream? What is the big dream we follow, the big idea that we are looking for everywhere, the solution that we focus on more than anything else? What is the big invention that we expect to happen with patience and we work with determination to achiveve? What is the big idea that we dedicated ourselves? What is the big target to which we proceed step by step, so that life would be better, more beautiful, more

peaceful, easier, healtier, and cleaner than today? The world, all cities, people, nature and the life on the earth need people working around the clock in order to make everything better for everyone. The first and the biggest task of the local administrators in our country and in the whole world is that. I believe and know that a world where they never forget this will be always a happy world. The communication and sharing among local administrators will give them a great power in this task. As Özelkalem Magazine, we continue to stand by all local administrators in Turkey and in the world, and to be an impartial bridge of the communication among local administrators reaching out everywhere. With these feelings, we are excited to be participating in this Summit where the future of inner city transportation is discussed in Montreal. Have a good reading. AYDIN İNCİRLİOVA’YA MÜJDELERLE GELDİ SHE CAME TO AYDIN INCIRLIOVA WITH GOOD NEWS Özlem Çerçioğlu Aydın Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı - The Aydın Metropolitan Mayor

Belediye başkanlarının en büyük yardımcısıdır muhtarlar. Mahallerin ihtiyacını, sorununu, beklentisini onlar başkanlardan önce duyar, başkanlardan önce bilir. Aydın Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı Özlem Çerçioğlu da İncirliova’da muhtarlarla bir araya geldi ve pek çok müjde verdi. Mukhtars are the biggest assistants of Mayors. They hear and learn the needs, problems and expectations of the neighborhoods before Mayors. The Aydın Metropolitan Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu came together with the mukhtars in Incirliova and gave them many good news.

Aydın Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı Özlem Çerçioğlu, mahallelerin sorunlarına kısa sürede çözüm üretmek için mahalle muhtarlarının daveti üzerine İncirliova’da muhtarlarla bir araya geldi. Başkan Çerçioğlu, İncirliova’nın Aydın’ın önemli ilçelerinden biri olduğunun altını çizerek, “Ben bir yere gelirsem müjdelerle gelirim. Başkaları gibi turistik gezi yapmaya gelmem. İncirliova’ya muhtarlarımızın yanına da müjdelerle geldim. İncirliova hizmetin en iyisini hak ediyor. Bunun için İncirliova halkına hizmet merkezi kazandırıyoruz. Merkezde çok amaçlı salonlar, sinema, kültür merkezleri bulunacak. Ayrıca Mayıs ayında Damızlık koyun çiftliği kuracağız. Bu sayede vatandaşların ekonomisine katkıda bulunacağız. İncirliova yaş sebze ve meyve hali de en yakın zamanda hizmete girecek. Ben olduğum sürece Aydın il genelinde olduğu gibi İncirliova’da hiçbir muhtarımızın sorunu kalmayacak. Halk ister Büyükşehir yapar.” dedi.

The Aydın Metropolitan Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu came together with the mukhtars in Incirliova upon the invitation of the mukhtars of the neighborhoods in order to solve the problems of neighborhoods in a short time. The Mayor Çerçioğlu underlined that Incirliova was one of the important districts of Aydın and said, “If I come somewhere, I come with good news. I do not come like those who come for sightseeing. I came to Incirliova with good news for our mukhtars. Incirliova deserves the best of services. For this reason, we are providing a Service Center for the people in Incirliova. There will be multi-purpose halls, cinemas and cultural centers in the Center. We will also set up the Breeding Sheep Farm in May. Thus, we will contribute to the economy of the citizens. The Incirliova Fresh Vegetables And Fruits Marketplace will be put into service in the earliest time. As long as I am here, there will be no problem for our mukhtars in Incirliova, as it is in the Aydın province. As our people want, the Metropolitan does it.”

DENİZLİ’NİN ENERJİ DEVRİMİ ENERGY REVOLUTION IN DENIZLI Osman Zolan Denizli Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı The Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor

Türkiye’nin ‘En Çevreci Belediye’ ödülü bulunan Denizli Büyükşehir Belediyesi, yenilenebilir enerji yatırımlarıyla Türkiye’ye örnek olmaya devam ediyor. Denizli Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı Osman Zolan, jeotermal enerji santralinde de iddialı. The Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, which was awarded with the award of “the Most Environmentalist Municipality” in Turkey, continues to be an example to Turkey with its renewable energy investments. The Denizli Metropolitan Mayor Osman Zolan is also assertive in the geothermal power plant.

Enerji alanındaki yatırımlarıyla ülke ekonomisine yaptığı katkının yanı sıra kendi kullandığı enerjiyi de üretmeyi hedefleyen Denizli Büyükşehir Belediyesi, çöp, atık su, jeotermal ve güneş enerjisinin ardından Hidroelektrik Santralleri (HES) ve Güneş Enerji Santralleri (GES) ile enerji üretiminde devrim yaratacak. Denizli Büyükşehir Belediyesi, Akköy ilçesinde hayata geçirdiği güneş tarlaları ile de elektrik enerjisi üretmeye başladı. Denizli Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı Osman Zolan, “Büyükşehir DESKİ elektriğini kendisi üreten bir kurum haline gelecek ve dışarıya bağlı olmayacak. Bizim en büyük hamlemiz jeotermal enerji santrali oldu. Buradan ciddi bir gelir elde edeceğiz. Jeotermalle ilgili sondaj çalışmaları başladı. İlk etapta 50 mwh’lık bir yatırım yapılacak. Fizibilite sonuçları olumlu çıkarsa ikinci etapta kapasite 100 mwt çıkarılacak.” dedi.

The Denizli Metropolitan Municipality will revolutionize the energy production with the hydroelectric power plants (HPP) and solar power plants (SPP) following the energies of garbage, waste water, geothermal and solar, as well as contributing to the country’s economy through investments in the field of energy. The Denizli Metropolitan Municipality started to produce electrical energy with the solar farms, which put into service in the Akköy district. The Denizli Metropolitan Mayor Osman Zolan said, “The Metropolitan’s DESKI will become an institution that produces its electricity and will not be foreigndependent. Our biggest move was the geothermal power plant. We will earn a substantial income here. The geothermal drilling works have begun. An initial investment of 50 mwh will be made. If the feasibility results come out positive, the capacity will be increased to 100 mwh at the second stage.”

Manisa Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı Cengiz Ergün, ilçelerde de meydan çalışmalarına çok önem veriyor. The best way to get to know a city is to look at the squares of that city. The most prominent element that reveals the spirit of cities and expresses their character is the squares. The Manisa Metropolitan Mayor Cengiz Ergün attaches great importance to the squares in the districts too.

Manisa Büyükşehir Belediyesi tarafından Selendi ilçesinde yapımı devam eden Selendi Kent Meydanı projesinde sona gelindi. Meydanda; dekoratif oturma birimleri, tören alanı, sergi alanı, dinlenme alanı yer alacak. Çalışmaların büyük bölümünün bittiğini ve Manisa’da modernleşme adına hizmetler ürettiklerini belirten Manisa Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı Cengiz Ergün, “Söz verdiğimiz gibi Selendi ilçemizi modern bir kent haline getirmek için hizmetlerimiz devam ediyor. Kent Meydanı tamamlandığında ilçenin çehresi değişecek. Selendi Kent Meydanı projemiz ilçemize gerçekten büyük değer katacak. Hizmetlerimiz Manisa’nın en doğusundan başlayacak demiştik. Sözümüzü tuttuk. Selendi artık yıldız gibi parlayacak. Kent Meydanı projemizde artık son aşamalara gelindi. Bittiğinde çok güzel olacak.” diye konuştu.

There are; decorative seating units, ceremonial space, exhibition area, and relaxation area in the square. The Manisa Metropolitan Mayor Cengiz Ergün stated that most of the works were over and that they were producing services in the name of modernization in Manisa, and said, “As we promised, we continue our services to make Selendi a modern city. When the City Square is completed, the appearance of the District will change. Our Selendi District Square Project will really add great value to our district. We said that our services would start from the very east of Manisa. We kept our word. Selendi will now shine like a star. Our District Square Project is now in its final stages. It will be very beatiful when finished.”

Altınşehir güzergâhında ‘Ekspres Hat’ uygulaması ile şehrin en batısından en doğusundaki Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesine daha hızlı ulaşım sağlandı. 4 Nisan Salı gününden itibaren hizmet vermeye başlayan Ekspres Hattın tanıtımını şoför koltuğuna oturarak yapan Adıyaman Belediye Başkanı F. Hüsrev Kutlu, “Bu hizmet sayesinde, aracı olmayan bir vatandaşımız acil olarak hastaneye gitmek isterse, Altınşehir’den otobüse binerek 400 Yataklı Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesine kadar birkaç durak dışında hiçbir yerde durmadan ulaşabilecek. 45 dakika süren yolculuk, 18-20 dakikaya kadar düşmüş oldu. Adıyaman’da ulaşım ihtiyaçlarını en iyi şekilde karşılamak için çalışıyoruz. 4 otobüsle devraldığımız belediyemizde araç sayımızı 30’a çıkardık. Şu an bulvarda 13 tane 12 metrelik otobüsümüz hizmet veriyor. Küçük araçlarımız da gece ücretsiz olarak hizmet veriyor.” dedi.

The Adıyaman Municipality, which took important steps in transportation, has put into practice an innovative service that will provide great comfort for its citizens. With ‘Express Line’ application on the Altınşehir route, it was provided to reach more quickly from the west to the east of the city where the Education and Research Hospital takes place. The Adıyaman Mayor F. Hüsrev Kutlu, who made the announcement of the Express Line starting by April 4th on Tuesday, said: “Thanks to this service, if a citizen without car wants to go to the hospital urgently, he/she can take a bus from Altınşehir and reach to the Training and Research Hospital having 400 Beds without stopping except a few stops. The trip lasting for 45 minutes fell to 18-20 minutes. We work hard to meet the transportation needs of Adıyaman. We increased the number of our buses to 30, which were 4 when we took over the municipality. We currently have a total of 13 buses with 12-meters on the boulevard. Our small vehicles also serve free of charge at nights.”

1922’de Lozan Mübadelesi ile Tekirdağ’dan Yunanistan’a göçen Mavridis Ailesi’nin yaşadığı tarihi köşk, ‘Tekirdağ Fotoğrafları Müzesi’ haline getiriliyor. Hayatını Atina’da sürdüren Dimitros Mavridis, 150 yıllık paha biçilmez fotoğraf koleksiyonunu, geçtiğimiz ay Süleymanpaşa Belediyesi’ne bağışlamıştı. Süleymanpaşa Belediye Başkanı Ekrem Eşkinat, “Dimitrios Mavridis, babasından dinlediği Tekirdağ’a tutkuyla bağlanmış ve yıllarca Tekirdağ ile ilgili araştırma yaparak 1500’den fazla fotoğraf biriktirmiş. Kendisine ulaştığımızda benim hayatımı değiştiren bir gerçekle de karşılaştım. Mavridis Ailesi’nin mübadelede terk etmek zorunda kaldığı köşke, Selanik’ten aynı sebeple göç eden dedem ve ailesi yerleşmiş. Aynı köşkte benim de çocukluğum geçmişti. Bu değerli fotoğraflar için bu köşkten daha anlamlı bir yer bulamazdık. Burası, bir göç müzesinin ilk adımı gibi olacak.” dedi.

The historical mansion of Mavridis Family, who immigrated to Greece from Tekirdağ with the Lausanne exchange, is being transformed into “Tekirdağ Photographs Museum”. Dimitros Marvidis, who lives in Athens, donated his priceless photography collection including 150 photographs to the Süleymanpaşa Municipality last month. Süleymanpaşa Municipality Mayor Ekrem Eşkinat said “Dimitros Mavridis was infatuated with Tekirdağ that he listened from his father, and collected more than 1500 photographs by making researches about Tekirdağ for years. When we reached to him, I encountered a truth that changed my life. My grandfather and his family, who immigrated from Salonika for the same reason, settled into the same mansion that Mavridis Family had to leave in the exchange. My childhood passed in the same mansion. We could not find a more meaningful place for these photos. Here will be as the first step of an immigration museum.”

Otomotiv üretimiyle Türkiye’nin Detroit’i olarak kabul edilen Bursa, Büyükşehir Belediyesi’nin yönlendirmesiyle önce yerli tramvay ve vagon üretimi ardından da uçak üretimiyle teknoloji ve tasarıma dayalı sanayide kenti çok ileriye taşıyacak büyük bir adım attı. Bursa’nın kent içi ulaşımdaki bütün hedeflerini ve büyük ilerlemelerini Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı Sayın Recep Altepe’ye sorduk.

Bursa, which is accepted as the Detroit of Turkey with its automotive production, took a huge step that will carry the city a step forward in the plane production and technology and design based industry following the production of local tramway and railway car with the guidance of the Metropolitan Municipality. We asked all the targets and great progresses of Bursa regarding inner city transportation to the Metropolitan Mayor Mr. Recep Altepe.

Bursa, kent içi ulaşımda hangi hedefe varmayı planlıyor bu bir iki yıl içinde? Kent içi ulaşımdaki temel hedefimiz, bu kentteki herkesin ulaşmak istediği noktaya kısa zamanda ve konfor içinde ulaşmasını sağlamak, trafikte geçen süreyi en aza indirmek. Bu hedef doğrultusunda hem raylı sistem yatırımlarımız hem yeni yol yapımı ve yol genişletme çalışmalarımız hem de köprü ve kavşak düzenleme çalışmalarımız hızla devam ediyor. Bu çalışmaların temelinde de kent merkezinden geçen Ankara – İzmir Karayolunun yüklerini en aza indirmek var. Bu amaçla Ankara yoluna paralel olarak ilk etabını açtığımız Çelebi Mehmet Bulvarı’nın ikinci etabı olan Hüdavendigar Bulvarı’nı da tamamlama aşamasına getirdik. Sadece bu iki bulvar için yaklaşık 500 binayı kamulaştırıp yıktık. Böylelikle Samanlı ile Acemler arası birbirine alternatif bir güzergahla bağlanmış

oldu. Buradan da Paşa Çiftliği ile Doğu Yakın Çevre yolu kenarına yapılacak viyadükle Yunuseli’ye, oradan da Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Bulvarı ile Mudanya’ya bağlantı sağlanmış olacak. Yani Yıldırım’dan Mudanya istikametine gitmek isteyen birisi, kent içinden geçen mevcut Ankara yolunu değil bu alternatif yolu kullanabilecek. Böylelikle kent içindeki trafik de nefes almış olacak. Trafiğin düğüm olan bütün noktalarını köprü ve kavşaklarla rahatlatıyoruz. Bugüne kadar yaptığımız köprü ve kavşak çalışması 68’i aştı. Kent içindeki ulaşımı rahatlatacak bir diğer unsur ise raylı sistemler. Kent Meydanı Terminal Raylı Sistem hattında inşaat hızla devam ediyor. Bunun yanı sıra Yıldırım’da Gökdere ile Yüksek İhtisas Hastanesi’ni birbirine bağlayacak olan raylı sistem projesi de sürüyor. Raylı sistemin bu hattı tamamen yer altından gidecek ve şehir içindeki trafik yüklerinin ortadan kalkmasını sağlayacak.

Ayrıca Bursa ile Uludağ arasındaki ulaşımın sağlanmasında büyük bir rol üstlenen teleferiği da artık kent merkezine indiriyoruz. Zafer Park, Gökdere Metro İstasyonu, Setbaşı ve Teferrüç’ü birbirine bağlayacak teleferik projesi ile kentin yüksek bölgelerine ulaşım için karayoluna alternatif bir ulaşım ağı oluşturmuş olacağız. To which target does Bursa plan to reach within these two years regarding the inner city transportation? Our main target regarding the inner city transportation is to provide everybody reaching to the desired point in the shortest time and in comfort, and to decrease the time spent in traffic to the least. Both our rail system investments and new road construction and road extension works and also bridge and intersection arrangement works continue expeditiously. Minimizing the loads of the Ankara-Izmir highway, which passes through the city center, is at the core of these works. For this purpose, we brought

the Hüdavendigar Boulevard, which is the second stage of the Çelebi Mehmet Boulevard that we opened the first stage of which as parallel to the Anraka highway, to the completion stage. We expropriated and demolished approximately 500 buildings only for these two boulevards. Thereby, Samanlı and Acemler are connected to each other with an alternative route. They will be connected to Yunuseli with a viaduct that will be made next to the Paşa Çiftliği and Doğu Yakın Belt Highway,

and to Mudanya with the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Boulevard. That is to say, someone wanting to go to Mudanya direction from Yıldırım can use this alternative road, not the present Ankara road, which is passing through the city center. Thus, the inner city traffic will take a breathe. We relieve all the points of node in the traffic with bridges and intersections. The bridge and intersection works that we made until now exceeded 68. The other element to relieve the traffic within the city is rail systems. The construction continues speedily in the Terminal Rail System of City Square. Along with that, the rail system project that will connect Gökdere and Yüksek İhtisas Hospital continues in Yıldırım. This rail system will go completely underground, and it will provide the traffic load within the city to disappear. Moreover, we are bringing the aerial railway, which plays an important role for the transportation between Bursa and Uludağ, to the city center. We will be creating a transportation network, which is an alternative to highway, for the transportation to the high regions of the city with the aerial railway project that will connect Zafer Park, Gökdere Metro Station, Setbaşı and Teferrüç. Inner city transportation investments of Bursa are integrated with uptown in highway, air, sea and rail systems. What is the next big move hereafter?

Bursa’nın nüfusu her yıl ortalama 58 bin artıyor. Bu nüfus artışı doğrudan trafiğe çıkan araç sayısını da artıyor. Bu nedenle ne kadar ulaşım yatırımı yapılırsa yapılsın, trafikteki en temel çözüm, toplu ulaşım araçlarının kent halkı tarafından çok daha yoğun olarak kullanılmasıdır. Bunun için de bundan sonraki en büyük adımımız sisteme entegre olan yeni yerli tramvay ve vagonlarımızla sefer aralarını sıklaştırmak, yeni raylı sistem hatları ile şehrin tamamını ulaşılabilir kılmak olacak.

Every year, the population of Bursa increases 58 thousand in average. This population increase directly affects the number of vehicles hitting the roads. Therefore, the main solution in the traffic is using the public transportation vehicles by the city residents, regardless of how many transportation investments is made. Thus, our next big move will be making trip intervals of our newly integrated local tramway and railway cars more frequent, and making whole of the city reachable with new rail systems.

Kent içi ulaşımda Bursa’nın bir başka iddialı tarafı da yerli üretim araçlar. Bursa, Büyükşehir Belediyesi’nin de desteği ile kendi araçlarını kendi üretiyor diyebilir miyiz? Yaklaşık 7 yıl önce Bursa’yı raylı sistemlerin merkezi haline getirme hedefiyle yola çıktık ve bu hedef doğrultusunda bir taraftan şehri raylı sistem ağıyla örerken diğer taraftan da Türkiye’nin ilk yerli tramvayının Bursa’da üretilmesine öncülük ettik. Yerli tramvay filomuzu da güçlendirmeye devam ediyoruz. Bursa’da üretilen ilk yerli tramvayın 2013 yılında raylara inip sefere başlamasının ardından geçen sürede, kent içi hatlarda kullanılacak 12 tramvay ve 60 metro vagonunun üretimi daha Bursa’da gerçekleştiriyor olmaktan mutluyuz.

Another assertive side of Bursa in inner city transportation is home product vehicles. Can we say that Bursa produces its own vehicles with the support of Metropolitan Municipality? We started our journey approximately 7 years ago to make Bursa as the center of rail systems, and as we were spinning out the city with rail system network within this direction, on the other hand we

also pioneered the production of the first local tramway of Turkey in Bursa. We also continue to strengthen our local tramway fleet. We are happy to realize the production of 12 tramways and 60 metro rail cars that will be used in inner city lines within the period after the first tramway that was produced in Bursa was put into the rails in 2013 and started to operate.

Uçak üretimi için de tarihi adım atıldı Bursa’da. Bu konuda güncel durum ne? Türk sanayisinin en önemli lokomotifidir Bursa. Kentimizde sanayi sektörünün katma değeri yüksek ileri teknoloji ve tasarıma dayalı ürünlere yönelmesi için Büyükşehir Belediyesi olarak her türlü desteği, motivasyonu sağlamaya çalışıyoruz. Bu konuda öncülük etme gayretimiz sürekli artıyor. Şimdi de Bursa’yı havacılık üssü haline getirecek önemli bir adım daha attık. Bursa sanayisinin öncü kuruluşlarından Gökçen Ailesi’ne bağlı B Plas’ın havacılık sektöründe aktif rol alması amacıyla bir süredir temaslarda bulunuyorduk. An historical step was taken in Bursa for the plane production. What is the current situation about this? Bursa is the most important locomotive of the Turkish industry. As the Metropolitan Municipality, we have been trying to provide all kinds of support

and motivation for the industrial sector in our city to tend towards the advanced technology and design based products. Our pioneering efforts in this issue have been increasing continuously. Now we took an important step to transform Bursa an aviation base. We have been in touch with the B Plas, which is affiliated to Gökçen family, one of the leading institutions of Bursa industry, for them to take an active role in the aviation sector. Our efforts showed good results and B Plas bought the German plane company AQUILA (Eagle). B Plas, which makes production in Germany, continue its efforts to move the production to Turkey. Bursa’ya gelindiği için de turistlerin ulaşımı konusunda önemli bir sıkıntı yaşanmıyor. Bizim öncelikle yapmamız gereken, kentimize gelen turistleri konaklamaya teşvik etmemizdir. Bunun için de Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyesi olarak her türlü yatırımı yapıyoruz. Bursa’ya gelen yabancı turistin şehrin bir noktasından başka bir noktasına ulaşması konusunda önemli bir sorun yaşanmıyor. Özellikle tarihi mekanların yoğun olduğu bölgelerdeki turizm danışma ofislerimizin yönlendirmesiyle gerek toplu ulaşım gerekse ticari taksiye ulaşım konusunda turistlerimiz için son derece rahat bir kent Bursa. Is the inner city transportation of Bursa at easily accessible level for foreign tourists? Tourism issue has to be dealt with not only as transportation, but also

as a whole. Particularly when we look at the foreign tourist portfolio, we see clearly that generally Istanbul is preferred for accommodation, and daily tours are organized to Bursa. Since they come to Bursa with tour buses, they don’t have an important problem regarding transportation. The first thing we should do is to encourage the tourist coming to our city to accommodate. As Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, we make all kinds of investments for this purpose. An important problem is not experienced regarding transportation of a foreign tourist coming to Bursa from one point to another point. Bursa is a quite comfortable city for the tourists regarding accessing either to public transportation or commercial taxis with the guidance of our tourism information desks that are located in the crowded regions particularly with many historical places. In which fields of the city does Bursa contribute to the progress of developments by means of inner city transportation investments? The best improvement is provided by the increase in the life quality. With the decrease of time spent in the traffic, our people gets the opportunity to spare more time to their works and houses. Bursa, which has been the 48th city

among the cities having the highest life quality in the world according to the researches made by the international agencies in recent years, increased to 28th in the world last year. Bursa became the city of Turkey having the highest life quality in this research. Besides, I also mentioned while answering one of the previous questions that we demolished 500 buildings just to open one boulevard. This is also a big move for the urban transformation, because the demolished buildings were not earthquake-resistant and they were risky structures. Namely, we covered an important distance in terms of urban transformation along with transportation investments.

You know, the plane comes to the runway; if it takes off it goes, if not it is over. It is the first 6 months in municipal works.

Belediye başkanlığınızın ardından hayat nasıl? Çabuk alıştım. Şimdi hayatı daha farklı görüyorum. Önceden yağmur yağdığında beni bir telaş alırdı; ‘Nereleri su basacak’, ‘Kurbağalı Dere taştı mı?’ Başkanlıktan sonraki ilk yağmurlu günü hiç unutmuyorum. Arabadaydım. Sorumluluk duymadan yağmur keyfi yaşamak güzeldi. Belediye başkanlığı sorumluluk işi. Tatiliniz yok, 24 saat görevdesiniz. Evde olsanız görevdesiniz, düğüne gitseniz görevdesiniz. Başkanlık yaptığım 1994 /2014 dönemi de ekstra zorlayıcı bir dönemdi. Mecliste azınlıktasınız. Büyükşehir ve hükümet sizin yanınızda değil. İlk 10 yılı böyle geçirdik ama vatandaş bize inanılmaz destek verdi. How is your life after the mayorship? I got used to it quickly. Now, I see the life differently. When it was rainy, I used to be rushing: ‘Where will be flooded’, ‘Has the Kurbağalı River flooded?’ I never forget the first rainy day after the mayorship. I was in the car. It was nice to enjoy the rain without any responsibility. Mayorship is a task of responsibility. No holiday, and you work for 24 hours a day. Even though you are home, you are at work, and even though you participate in a wedding, you are still

at work. And the period of 1994/2014 was an extra hard period. We were a minority group in the Assembly. The Metropolitan Municipality and the government are not on your side. The first period of 10 years was as such but the citizens supported us enormously. Hizmette bunca yılınızın, Kadıköy sakinlerinde nasıl bir etkisi oldu sizce? Çok iyi hizmet verebilirsiniz ama yurttaşla diyoloğunuz yoksa, o işlerin bir çoğu kentin gürültüsünde kaybolup gider. Yurttaşla bütünleşmek zorundasınız. Biz Kadıköy’de Mahalle Gönüllüleri’ni kurduğumuzda, her mahallenin sorunlarını birinci ağızdan öğrenme ve mahalleliye de aynı şekilde anlatma zemini oluşturmuş olduk. Gazete Kadıköy’ü çıkardık; 23 yıl olmuş, halen yayında. Şimdi Gazete Kadıköy kentin hafızası oldu. Belediyeler sadece kentlerin beynini açmaz, insanların da beynini açar. Bir ömür Bakkalköy’de oturmuş ama bir kere bile çarşıya gitmemiş, vitrin gezmemiş, Boğaz’ı hiç görmemiş kadınlarımızı evlerinden çıkardık, gezdirdik, eğittik ve dedik ki ‘burası sizin kentiniz, çıkın dolaşın.’ Kadınlarımız o günden sonra bizimle ciddi iletişim kurdu. 94’te göreve geldiğimizde, CHP Ankara Asfaltı üzerinde 5. partiydi. 2004’te birinci parti haline geldi. Daha büyük başarı ve daha fazla oy için CHP’li belediyeler arasında ciddi bir kordinasyon olması lazım. Çok küçük beldelerde müthiş projeler yapan arkadaşlarımız var. Onların projelerini CHP’li başka kentlere de taşıyabilmek gerek. Biz Sosyal Demokratlar Derneği kurmuştuk, o dernek aracılıyla 600 Sosyal Demokrat Belediyenin katılımı ile bir fuar açtık. Müthiş hizmetleri olan belediyeler vardı. İlk defa orada tanıdık birbirimizi. Eğer bunu daha da geliştirebilseydik, belediyeler bir çok şey öğrenebilecekti birbirinden.

Türkiye’deki bütün belediyeler birbirinden haberdar olmalı. According to you, how did your service years affect the residents in Kadıköy? You can serve very well, but if there is no dialogue with the citizens, most of those things will disappear in the noise of the city. You must integrate with the citizens. When we established Neighborhood Volunteers in Kadıköy, we have created a floor in order to learn the problems of the neighborhood residants firsthand and to explain our view to them. We published Newspaper Kadıköy; it’s been 23 years and it is still published. Now Newspaper Kadıköy is the memory of the city. The municipalities don’t only open the minds of cities, but they open the minds of people. We took out the women, who lived in Bakkalköy for their entire lifetime, but never went to Çarşı once in a life, never window-shopped, never seen the Bosphorus; we showed them around, educated them, and told them “this is your city, go out and walk around”. Our women made serious contacts with us after that day. When we took the office on 1994, CHP was the 5th party on Ankara Asphalt. It became the first party in 2004. There should be a serious coordination between the municipalities of CHP. There are some of our friends making incredible projects in small municipalities. It is required to carry their projects to the other cities of CHP. We have established a Social Democrats Association; we opened a fair with the participation of 600 Social Democrat Municipalities. There were some municipalities having incredible services. We got to know each other there for the first time. If we could improve it, the municipalities could learn more from each other. All the municipalities should be aware of each other. NİSAN 2017

Bunu sağlayan bir mecra var; Özelkalem Dergisi. Kadıköy’ü herkesin yaşamak isteyeceği bir ilçe yapma hedefinize ulaştığınızı düşünüyor musunuz? İTO’nun 2012 veya 2013’teki araştırmasında Kadıköy en yaşanabilir ilçe seçilmişti. Benim öğrencilik dönemimde Üsküdar Kadıköy’den çok daha iyiydi. Kadıköy daha çok insanların yatakhanesiydi fakat daha sonra Kadıköy kültür ve sanat alanında Üsküdar’ı solladı. Hedefimize ulaştık ama hedefi sürekli yüksek tutmamız

gerek; bisikletteyseniz, pedalı sürekli çevireceksiniz. Kadıköy’ün eksiklikleri hala çok fazla. Kadıköy’e büyük haksızlık yapılıyor. 25 yılda Büyükşehir Belediyesi Kadıköy’de hiçbir proje yapmadı. Yalnız Kadıköy’e değil, İstanbul’un pek çok ilçesine yazık oluyor. There is a media providing it; Özelkalem Magazine. of ITO in 2012 or 2013. Üsküdar was much better than Kadıköy in my studentship years. Kadıköy was more of an accomodation, but later on Kadıköy got by Üsküdar in cultural and art fields. We reached to our goal, but we should aim for the sky; if you are on the bike, you should turn the pedal constantly. Deficiencies of Kadıköy are still a lot. Kadıköy has been treated unjust. The Metropolitan Municipality hasn’t done any project in Kadıköy for 25 years. Not only Kadıköy, but also many districts of Istanbul are wasted. 30 Mart seçimleri siyasi yaşamınız açısından nasıl bir viraj oldu? Aday olmayacağım yaklaşık iki üç ay once belli oldu. Ben o sürede kendimi yeni bir hayata adapte ettim. Genel Merkez adaylığımı onaylamadı. Parti içi siyasi nedenleydi tamamen ama problem yok. Kurumlar kalır, kişiler gelir gider. Bunlar önemli değil. One day an old man came to visit. He said “Mayor”, “We voted for CHP for the first time”, then I asked “Why”. “He said “Because of you”. He explained the reasons, but the interesting side is that “I went to home and performed a two-rakat prayer, prayed to Allah to forgive me.” The society is separated this much, this is not good. They introduced us differently.

This year Canada will host the UITP Global Public Transport Summit. Why was Montréal selected? As you know, UITP’s biennial flagship event sees us visit a different city on each occasion. The last three editions were held in Dubai, Geneva and Milan but now in Montreal. In fact the reason of it is the city’s recent achievements in developing public transport, which can be considered an historic success over the past few years. The concerted efforts of the Québec government and Greater Montréal Area municipalities have yielded impressive results, driven in particular by the first Québec Public Transit Policy, which aimed to increase services offered and ridership. Consequently, the Montréal region achieved, in 2013, an all-time ridership record of more than 725m passenger trips. The 2017 Global Public Transport

Summit will actually be the second time that Montréal has played host to the biggest event in public transport. The first occasion happened in 1977. 2017 will be an exceptional year for Montréal. The city will be celebrating the 375th anniversary, 150th anniversary of Canada Confederation, and the Canadian metro is celebrating its 50th year. It is an exciting year for Montreal. 2017 Global Toplu Taşıma Zirvesi’nden neler bekleyebiliriz? The slogan of the 2017 edition, ‘Lead the TRANSITion’. While facing such rapid urbanization, increasing digitalization, improvements in green technology and the arrival of new mobility players, public transport sector cannot afford to stand on the sidelines and have its future determined only by others. One of the key topics that will be covered at the Summit is therefore to look at how autonomous vehicle technology and new transport services have the potential to completely redefine how authorities plan and improve public transport, but also how public transport is taking the lead in the deployment of autonomous mobility services. We will focus on trends and digitalization in the Summit. In order to continue serving the needs of customers, as well as staying competitive, NİSAN 2017

public transport operators and manufacturers must adapt to – and even take part in developing – these new technologies, whilst dealing with challenges in cyber security. Throughout the program, we’ll also be having a close look at the challenges of urban mobility in developing economies and there will be an entire day dedicated to exploring the North American public transport renaissance. What does the future of urban mobility look like? Over the last couple of years we have seen the rapid emergence of what we call ‘new mobility players’ onto the scene. Ride-selling

services, free-floating car-sharing, demand responsive shuttles or even autonomous cars…… what’s clear is that the traditional ‘private vs. public transport’ distinction is becoming increasingly blurred. The question now is how we best integrate these news services into a holistic, shared mobility offer. Public transport will remain unbeatable for carrying large amounts of people on key corridors at peak hours. There is a space and a demand for these new services in our cities and if we can successfully integrate urban and transport planning. We should spend greater efforts to ramp-up the electrification of public transportation low or zero carbon urban mobility; public transport is already 40-50% electric so there is still a way to go, particularly with buses. As the recent COP22 climate event illustrated, there is increasing recognition from policy makers for public transport to play the ‘backbone’ role in providing low or zero carbon mobility. Finally, the buzzword of the day, ‘digitalization,’ is also opening exciting new doors for public transport. This trend will determine how public transport interacts with its customers, other transport modes and urban services. It’s the beginning of an exciting journey.

Bornova Belediyesi’nin diğer çevre projeleri sürdürülebilir yaşama önemli katkılar sağlıyor. Bornova Belediyesi, güneş ışınlarıyla yıllık 150 bin liralık elektrik enerjisi üretecek 300 kilovatlık ‘Fotovoltaik Güç Sistemi’ kurdu. Erzene Mahallesi’nde 1250 güneş panelinin yerleştirildiği sistem sayesinde her yıl çevre kirliliğine neden olan 250 ton karbon salınımı engellenmiş oldu. At the meeting, a presentation on ‘Waste Management and Energy Efficiency in Industrial Sites’ was made and it was decided to establish an Environment and Energy Group within the City Council. The other environmental projects of Bornova Municipality provide important contributions to the sustainable life. The Municipality of Bornova built a ‘photovoltaic power system’ of 300 kilowatt, which will annually generate electricity of 150 thousand TL with solar rays. Thanks to the system in the neighborhood of Erzene, in which 1250 solar panels were installed, 250 tons of carbon emissions causing pollution every year were prevented. Doğanbey Köyü, önce Rumların sonra da mübadelede Köy’e getirilen Türklerin terk etmesiyle sessizliğe bürünmüş. Ta ki 20 yıl öncesine kadar. This is Doganbey Village, it is left to silence by Rums at first and then by Turks which are moved to the Village after commutation. All the way to 20 years of past…

Doğanbey Dünyanın en güzel köylerinden biri kabul edilen Eze, iki kilometrekare yüzölçümüyle Avrupa’nın en küçük ülkelerinden biri olsa da köyde kişi başı milli gelir 67 bin dolar. Hayret verici değil mi? Köye ilk yerleşenler Romalılar olmuş. Sonra Liguryalılar, Kuzey Afrikalı Müslümanlar ve Osmanlılar gelmiş ve köyü tahrip etmiş. Köy her seferinde küllerinden yeniden doğmuş. Köyde toplu taşıma yok. Zaten sokakların neredeyse hepsi araçların giremeyeceği kadar dar, yokuş ve taşlı. Köye elektrik 1929’da, musluk suyu 1952’de gelmiş. Grace Kelly ve Cary Grant’ın oynadığı, yönetmenliğini Alfred Hitchcock’un yaptığı Kelepçeli Aşık filmi 1955’te Eze’de çekilmiş. Kendine sakin bir yaşam arayan Nietzsche ve daha birçok ünlü çok uzun yıllarını Eze’de geçirmiş. Köyün neredeyse bütün sokakları minik

Doğanbey sanat galerileri ile dolu. Pek çok ressam da köye büyük bir aşk duyarak burada yaşamış. Köyün parfüm fabrikası da Eze’yi çekici kılan en önemli özelliklerinden biri tabii. Köyün bir sloganı da var ve zaten köyü gördüğünüzde bu sözler kendiliğinden dökülüyor ağzınızdan; ‘Öldüm ve burada tekrar doğdum”. Birilerinin ona aşkla bağlanması, birlikte yaşamak için onu seçmesi ya da sanatın rüzgar olup tepelerinde esmesi bakımından Doğanbey Köyü Eze kadar şanlı değil ama aslında en az onun kadar güzel. Doğanbey aslında bir Rum köyü. Mübadele sonrası köy sakinleri Yunanistan’a göç etmiş, oradan gelen Türkler de bu köye yerleştirilmiş. Dik bir yamaçta oluşu, tarıma olanak vermemesi ve tabii orada yaşayanların da aklına tarımdan başka bir şey gelmemesi

nedeniyle herkes köyü terk etmiş. Taş evleri, pırıl pırıl sokakları, mis kokulu devasa çiçekleri, dereleri, şelaleleri, kedileri, rengarenk meyve ağaçları ile o kadar güzel ki nasıl bu kadar sahipsiz kaldığını anlamak olanaksız. Nihayet 20 yıl kadar önce sanatçılar, yazarlar, akademisyenler Doğanbey’i keşfetmiş ve köyde hayat o zaman canlanmaya başlamış. Konaklama, restoranlar, turistik olanaklar bakımından da maalesef Doğanbey ile Eze arasında büyük fark var.

500 irtifadaki Ortaçağ köyü Eze, 1950’li yıllarda bile dünyanın en ünlü film yönetmenlerinin gözdesiydi. Eze, like a hamlet from Middle Ages at around 500 meters of altitude has been a favorite one for the most prominent movie producers in the World even in 1950’s.

Eze Eze, accepted as one of the most beautiful villages in the World, with its two square meters of surface area, being one of the tinniest realms in Europe, ever so, the GNP per capita in this village is around 67 thousand dollars. It’s amazing, is it not? The very first residents of the village were Romans. Afterwards Ligurians, North African Muslims and Ottomans reached there and ravaged the village. Every time, after every damage the Village rose from the ashes. There is not any mass transportation in the Village. As well almost all streets are so narrow not allowing any vehicle, descent and stony. Electric supplied in 1929, tap water supplied in 1952 in the Village. A famous movie, titled “To Catch a Thief” shot in 1955 in Eze, in which film Grace Kelly and Cary Grant shared the leading roles and produced by Alfred Hitchcock. Eze style for himself and many other prominent people have spent their many years in Eze. Almost all the alleys of the village are full of mini art galleries. And many painting artists fell in love with the Village fervently and lived here. The most important specialty of it is the perfume plant in village that makes Eze an attractive place, of course. There is also a motto in the Village and upon you see there such words are heard naturally like this: ‘I have died and I was born in, here in this village… Doganbey Village, another village there, is not so prominent as Eze in respect to binding there with love of someone, choosing it for living together or changing the art into winds Wuthering at the Heights of it, but all in all, as beautiful as it… Doganbey is a Rum village as origin. The residents of the village moved

to Greece after mutual population exchange and the Turks coming from there have been resided in this village. Being at a steep position, not allowing to agriculture and for the reason that the residents there do not think any other thing but agriculture, everyone has left the village. With its stone houses, as fresh as alleys, gigantic flowers with dazzling fragrances, creeks, cataracts, cats, colorful fruit trees, it is so magnificently beautiful that it is not possible to understand how come it is so left alone so long time. At last, before 20 years, art people, authors, academicians have discovered Doganbey as pioneers and thus the life in the Village have started to animate. In respect to accommodation, restaurants, and tourist facilities there is unfortunately a great many differences between Doganbey and Eze. NİSAN 2017

Mr. Kır, a child of an immigrant family from Emirdağ, presents a very successful management in having been elected as a Mayor as well as in accepting the differences and transforming them to a value for the city.

Emir Kır, 1968’de Belçika’da doğdu. Babası 40 bin Emirdağlı Türk göçmen gibi 60’ların başında madende çalışmak üzere Belçika’ya gitti. Kır, ilk ve orta öğrenimini Saint Josse’de tamamladıktan sonra Brüksel Hür Üniversitesi Siyasal Bilgiler Fakültesi Uluslararası İlişkiler bölümünü bitirdi. Saint Josse Belediyesi’nde 6 yıl boyunca sosyal danışman olarak görev yapan Kır’ın siyasete girmesi aslında tamamen tesadüf. Belediyede kadrolar eskimiş ve bu nedenle de emekliliğe ayrılanlar olmuştu. 2000 yılında katıldığı belediye seçimlerinde ikinci en yüksek oyu alarak belediye yönetimine girdi ve engellemeye çalışanlara rağmen Başkan Yardımcısı olmayı başardı. 2004 bölge seçimlerinde Bakan seçilen Kır, beş yıl Kültür ve Spor Bakanı olarak görev yaptı. Sonraki seçimlerde yine bakan oldu. Ardından da Saint Josse Belediye Başkanlığı’na seçilerek Belçika’nın ‘Türk asıllı ilk belediye başkanı’ unvanını elde eden

Kır, özellikle ekonomik durumu iyi olmayan ailelerin çocuklarını spora teşvik eden projeleriyle büyük beğeni topladı. Çocukları sokak çetelerinden ve kötü alışkanlıklardan kurtardı. Dürüstlüğüyle ve topluma faydalı projeleriyle tanındı. Bütün farklılıkları bir araya getirip bunun bir zenginlik olduğunu anlatarak herkese hoşgörü aşıladı. Emir Kır was born in Belgium in 1968. His father went to Belgium to work in the mine at the beginning of the 1960’s like 40 thousand Turkish immigrants from Emirdağ. After completing his elementary and secondary education in Saint Josse, he finished the department of International Relations at the Faculty of Political Science of the Free University of Brussels. It is almost a coincidence that Mr. Kır, who served as a social consultant for 6 years in the Municipality of Saint Josse, entered politics. The personnel of the Municipality grew older,

therefore there were some people getting retired. In the municipal elections he joined in 2000, he received the second highest vote and entered the municipal administration, and managed to become a Vice President, despite those who tried to block him. Elected as a Minister in the regional elections in 2004, he served as the Minister of Culture and Sports for five years. He became a Minister in the next elections again. Elected as the Mayor of Saint Josse, he obtained the title of “the first Turkish mayor of Belgium”. Mr. Kır got credit particularly for those projects encouraging the children of the poor families. He saved the children from street gangsters and bad habits. He became popular with his honesty and his beneficial projects for the community. Bringing all the differences together, he stated that this was a wealth and he instilled tolerance for everybody.

The Mayors of the two cities were in a ceremony at the signing of the protocol, and both mayors said that this brotherhood would provide very positive gains to both cities. Speaking at the ceremony, Emir Kır said, “We have a lot of examples to get from Eskişehir”, while President Büyükerşen said, “We have become friends with a city where people from 122 nations live. We will take our relations to the highest level starting with culture and art.”

KEMER’DE BOCCE SPORU BÜYÜYOR THE BOCCE SPORT IS GROWING IN KEMER

Kemer Belediyesi’nin katkısıyla düzenlenen Bocce Petank İl Şampiyonası’nda Kemerli 26 öğrenci madalya aldı. Şampiyona’ya 84 okul grubu katıldı ve 350 sporcu mücadele etti. Şampiyona’da başarılı olan sporcuları kutlayan Kemer Belediye Başkanı Mustafa Gül, “İlçemizi başarıyla temsil eden Bocce takımlarına desteklerimiz sürecektir.” dedi. Birinci ve ikinci olan Kemerli sporcular, Akdeniz Bölge Şampiyonası’nda Antalya’yı temsil edecek. 26 students from Kemer received medals in the Provincial Championship of Bocce Petanque, which was organized by the Kemer Municipality. 84 school teams participated in the championship and 350 athletes competed. Hukuki düzenlemeler, katılımcı ve çoğulcu demokrasi anlayışıyla yapılmadığı için kâğıt üstünde kalıyor. HATAY TEMİZ BİR YATIRIM YAPIYOR HATAY MAKES A CLEAN INVESTMENT Hatay Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı Doç. Dr. Lütfü Savaş, Kırıkhanlılara hizmet verecek olan Atıksu Arıtma Tesisi’ni yerinde inceledi ve tesisin 30 Ağustos Zafer Bayramı’na kadar tamamlanacağını belirtti. Maliyeti 10 milyon 335 bin TL ve günde 12 bin 250 metreküp atıksu arıtacak olan tesisin, 30 Ağustos Zafer Bayramı’nda faaliyete geçirilmesi planlanıyor. Tesisi yerinde inceleyen ve Kırıkhan Atıksu Arıtma Tesisi sayesinde doğaya kirli su değil, arıtılmış temiz su bırakılacağına vurgu yapan Başkan Savaş, bugüne ve geleceğe kaliteli, sağlıklı bir yaşam sağlama hedefiyle hizmetlerin sürdüğünü belirterek, yaşam alanlarını korumayı ve tertemiz şekilde nesilden nesle aktarmayı planladıklarının altını çizdi. Tesis ile birlikte yüzde 90 arıtım sağlanarak çevre kirliliğinin önüne geçilecek.

The environmental pollution will be avoided by providing 90% purification with the facility.

İZMİR’İN TELEFERİK KONFORU AERIAL RAILWAY COMFORT OF İZMİR İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi’nin AB standartlarında yenileyerek iki yıl önce hizmete aldığı ve açıldığı günden itibaren yaklaşık 850 bin kişinin ziyaret ettiği Teleferik Tesisleri’nde bakım çalışmaları tamamlandı. Yılda bir kez yapılması zorunlu olan periyodik bakım çalışması kapsamında sistemdeki bütün hareketli parçalar elden geçirildi, otomasyon ve elektrik sistemlerinde iyileştirmeler yapıldı. Bakım çalışmaları sırasında kabinlerde yolcu konforunun artırılması için ses ve sarsıntıyı azaltacak çalışmalar da gerçekleştirildi. Yolcuların temas ettiği bütün aksamlar özel malzemeler kullanılarak temizlendi. Tesislerdeki güvenlik görevlilerinin sayısı artırıldı, giriş kapılarına elektronik kontrol sistemleri kuruldu. Çalışmalar kapsamında hizmet binasında tadilat yapıldı, tesislerin peyzajı da yenilendi. Haftanın 6 günü hizmet veren tesis, pazartesi günleri haftalık bakım nedeni ile kapalı. 0–5 yaş arası çocuklara ücretsiz hizmet veren Teleferik Tesisleri’nin bilet fiyatları 8 TL.

Iğdır Belediyesi

Maintenance works were completed in the Aerial Railway Facilities, which were visited by 850 thousand people, since its opening date and it was being put into operation two year ago, after the renewal made in the EU standards by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. All the moving parts in the system were handled within the scope of periodical maintenance work that has to be done once in a year, and the improvements were made in the automation and electrical system. Works for decreasing the voice and shake were made in order to increase the passenger comfort in the cabins during the maintenance works. All the components that passengers contact with were cleaned by using special materials. The number of the security personnel in the facilities was increased, and the electronic control systems were set up at the entrance doors. Remodeling was made in the service building and landscape of the facilities was renewed within the scope of the works. The facility, which provides service for 6 days of week, is closed on Mondays because of the weekly maintenance. Ticket price of the Aerial Railway Facilities, which provides free service to kids whose ages ranging from 0 to 5, is 8 TL.

The Iğdır Municipality did cleaning in the city center with the 40 Turkish Employment Agency personnel, who were employed within the “Programs for the Benefit of the Society” project. The Iğdır Deputy Mayor Hüseyin Güven, who participated in the cleaning work, said “Unfortunately, one of the most important problems of our city is cleaning. We do our best to overcome this problem as Iğdır Municipality. We did a general cleaning work today in order to clean the city center and to create awareness about cleaning in our community. However, this is not a problem that municipalities can solve alone. Our people and tradesmen should be diligent about the environmental cleaning.

PURSAKLAR’DA BİSİKLET TAM GAZ BICYCLE IS AT FULL SPEED IN PURSAKLAR Bisiklet alışkanlığı, belediyelerin aralıksız yatırımları ile ülkemizde de yaygınlaşıyor. Pursaklar Belediyesi Park ve Bahçeler Müdürlüğü tarafından Mimar Sinan Mahallesi’nde yapımı devam eden 700 metre uzunluğunda bisiklet ve yürüyüş yolu kısa sürede hizmete açılacak. Bisiklet ve yürüyüş yolunun da içinde bulunduğu park, spor aletleri, 500 adet ladin ağacı ve çok sayıda boylu ağaç ile donatılacak. Sağlıklı yaşam için sporu teşvik eden Pursaklar Belediyesi, bisiklet ve yürüyüş yolu çalışmasının yapıldığı alana 12 adet de kamelya yapmayı planlıyor.

MURATPAŞA KENT MÜZESİ’NE KAVUŞUYOR MURATPAŞA IS HAVING A CITY MUSEUM Muratpaşa Belediyesi’nin Antalya’da bir kuşağın çocukluk ve gençlik yıllarının en büyük eğlencesi eski Lara Caddesi’nde bulunan aquaparkı yepyeni bir yaşam merkezi olarak hizmete açmak için başladığı çalışmalarda sona gelindi. Bilim adamı ve siyasetçi Erdal İnönü’nün adını taşıyacak Kent Parkı’nın açılışı için geri sayım başlarken, Antalya’nın en doyumsuz manzarasına sahip park içinde bir de Kent Müzesi oluşturulacak. Aynı zamanda 1’inci Derece Doğal SİT alanı statüsüne sahip alanda korunan yapılar içinde kurulacak Kent Müzesi’nde Muratpaşa Belediyesi, Eski Antalyalılar Derneği ile işbirliği yapacak.

Cycling habit becomes popular in our country with the continuous investments of municipalities. 700-meter long cycle and walking trail, construction of which is still ongoing in the Mimar Sinan Neighborhood by the Pursaklar Municipality Directorate of Parks and Gardens, will be put in service in a short time. The park, within which includes cycle and walking trail, will be equipped with sports tools, 500 spruce trees and a large number of long trees. The Pursaklar Municipality, which encourages sports for healthy life, plans to build 12 camellias in the field where cycling and walking trail will be built.

The works of the Muratpaşa Municipality that was started in order to transform the aquapark, which was the greatest entertainment of a generation in their childhood and youth times and located in the old Lara Street, into a life center came to an end. As the countdown started for the City Park, which will bear the name of the scientist and politician Erdal İnönü, a City Museum will be established within the park that has the most spectacular scenery. The Muratpaşa Municipality will collaborate with Eski Antalyalılar Association for the City Museum that will be built next to the protected structures in the field having Grade 1 Natural SIT area.

KÖRFEZ’İN HEDEFİ 5 YILDA 5 MİLYON LİRA THE TARGET OF KÖRFEZ IS 500 MILLION LIRAS IN 5 YEARS Körfez Belediye Başkanı İsmail Baran, 3 yılda hayata geçirilen ve startı verilen 300 milyon liralık 300 projeyi vatandaşlarla paylaştı. Başkan Baran, hizmetlerin çıkış noktasının insan olduğunu belirterek, “Göreve geldiğimiz günün üzerinden 3 yıl geçti. Günü kurtarmak için değil, Körfez’in geleceği planlayarak projeler ürettik. Yapacak çok işimiz var daha. Önümüz açık. Vatandaşımızın desteğiyle de yeni startını verdiğimiz projeleri kısa sürede tamamlayacağız ve Körfez’i 2023’e hazırlayacağız. Körfez Kampüsümüzün temelini de attık. 4 bin 500 öğrencilik bir kampüs olacak. Körfez sadece sanayi ve liman kenti değil, ilim kenti de olacak. 3 yılda 300 milyonluk yatırım yapmak zor iş. Planlarımız saat gibi tıkır tıkır işliyor. İnşallah 5 yılda 500 milyon TL’lik projeyi gerçekleştirmiş olacağız.” dedi.

The Körfez Mayor İsmail Baran shared 300 projects with citizens, which were started and actualized in 3 years and having the value of 300 million TL. The Major Baran said “It’s been 3 years since we took the office. We produced projects not to save the day, but planning the future of Körfez. We have a lot to do. There is no obstacle on our way. We will complete the projects that we newly started in a short time with the support of our citizens, and will prepare Körfez to 2023. We also laid the foundation of the Körfez Campus. It will be a campus for 4 thousand 500 students. Körfez will be a city of science, not only an industry and port city. Making 300 million investment in 3 years is hard work. Our plans run like clockwork. If God permits, we will have realized projects worth 500 million TL in 5 years.

YUNUSEMRE EKONOMİYİ TAŞLANDIRIYOR YUNUSEMRE CROWNS THE ECONOMY Yunusemre Belediyesi dev bir yatırımı hayata geçirmek için düğmeye bastı. 14 bin metrekarelik alanda Ege Bölgesi’nin en büyük taş üretim merkezi olacak tesisin temeli törenle atıldı. Yunusemre Belediye Başkanı Dr. Mehmet Çerçi törendeki konuşmasında, ilçe için bir de müjde verdi. Başkan Çerçi, “Büyük bir yatırımın temelini atıyoruz. Çok büyük tesis olacak ve yörenin ihtiyacını karşılayacak. Buradan bir müjde vermek istiyorum. Yuntdağı’nda çok değerli taşlar var. Atalarımız o taşları kullanarak, eserler yapmış ancak günümüzde bu eserleri yapan kalmadı. Yuntdağı’nda bu taşlar için bir işleme tesisi kurmak istiyoruz. Milyarca ton rezervimiz var. Bunları hem sanayimize hem mimarimize kazandırmalıyız. Yunusemre Belediyesi’nin vizyonu geniş. Gelecek nesillere hizmet edeceğiz.” dedi.

The Yunusemre Mayor Dr. Mehmet Çerçi gave good news for the district in his speech that he made in the ceremony. The Mayor Çerçi said, “We are laying the foundation of a giant investment. It will be a very large plant and will meet the need of the region. I want to give good news from here. There are very valuable stones in Yuntdağı. Our ancestors made artifacts by using those stones, however there is nobody today making those artifacts. We want to build a processing plant for these stones. We have billion tones of reserve. We should bring those in our industry and our architecture. The vision of the Yunusemre Municipality is broad. We will serve the next generations.”
