WHO IS P3

P3 is a social inclusion charity. We're passionate about people and work to enable everyone who uses our services to live happy, fulfilling lives as valued members of their communities. We do this through supported housing, mental health services, employment support, homelessness outreach and children’s and young people’s programmes.

We’ve been around since 1972 (though some parts of our organisation date back to 1884!), working in communities across the Midlands and the South. Most of our funding comes from government contracts, but we also fundraise to bring added value to our services, funding things that really make a difference to people’s wellbeing, such as care packages and new homes kits.

We have more than 675 team members across more than 40 offices and community hubs for people to access support and advice. We have a further 941 units of accommodation across the UK. We work collaboratively with other charities and organisations to ensure everyone who comes to us for support can access the support they need – even if it’s through one of our aligned partners.

MISSION VISION VALUES

Mission

We work alongside people to improve lives and communities, to unlock potential and open up new opportunities.

Vision

Our vision is that every person is recognised as a valued member of society, where social justice no longer exists.

Values

We are always friendly and approachable. We put people first and believe by working together, we can make a real and lasting difference.

We are determined to tackle problems that others won't.

We go the extra mile and work with dedication and commitment.

We work together to deliver the greatest impact for people. We are brave, creative and find new solutions to problems.

OUR CULTURE

People are at the heart of everything we do and every decision we make, and we think our staff are just as important as the people we support. We promote a culture that celebrates our differences and plays to everyone's strengths, no matter how quirky.

We think it's important to invest in our team, which is why we offer a lot of personal development and training opportunities and lots of social opportunities, such as conferences, team days out and an annual 'play day'. And we know that life exists outside of work, so flexible working hours are weaved into as many of P3's roles as possible.

Life is so different now. I feel so much better, so much happier and more independent. I have a person to speak to now with P3 and that makes a huge difference."
-Resident in supported housing

THE ROLE

P3 is expanding our current Communications Department to bring in a marketing element. The Marketing Manager will work within the new Communications and Marketing Department to increase P3’s brand recognition and reputation, fostering strong relationships among our stakeholders and developing our reputation as a trusted service provider. The ultimate aim is to increase our fundraising and volunteering scope, support our recruitment of new staff, develop relationships with potential landlords and build relationships with tenants.

You’ll do this by developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy that uses creative approaches to engage with our many audiences. You’ll be an old hat at social media and will get excited about testing new ideas and products and monitoring their impact and ROI. You like to stay on the cutting edge, researching modern, creative ways of communicating and impacting change. This is a new role, so a great opportunity for someone to put their stamp on it and really have an impact.

At P3, we’re all about people, but to excel in this role, you’ve gotta love people. You’ll love talking to them, hearing their stories, getting their input and co-producing campaigns and media that inspire, foster brand trust and recognition and support P3 to deliver on its mission.

You’ll go beyond simply telling a story and will be hard-wired to want to affect change and inspire people to take notice and take action. You’ll be an out-of-the-box thinker who likes to try new approaches and really understands market testing, audience segmentation and the four Ps of marketing.

We’re looking for someone experienced in marketing who can hit the ground running. You don’t have to come from a third-sector background, but you do need to live and love our mission and values.

THE TEAM

"We are a small team, but our impact is significant. We believe in P3’s social purpose and come to work every day wanting to make a real and genuine difference for the people P3 support. Every project no matter how big or small is delivered to reflect the charity’s values and crafted with energy and enthusiasm.

Together as a communications and marketing team, we champion the success of P3 services and celebrate the difference we make in people’s lives. We have a genuine desire to shape our projects co-productively and actively welcome people’s lived experience to inform what we do.

It is a privilege to be a part of P3! We love what we do, are inspired by P3’s mission and proud to be part of what is a brilliant organisation."

-Louise Owen-McGee, Head of Comms
