The TURBO Livestock Fan pushes air 5,560 feet per minute at an incredible 1,740 RPM’s and an industry leading 8,453 CFM’s.
READ BELOW HOW. • Sullivan’s TURBO America’s #1 Livestock Fan
motors. This extra ‘stack’ powers it to run faster than any other livestock fan that we know of. As an added benefit, the Turbo motor runs 11% cooler than competitors 1/2 HP motors, this allows cooler air output from the Turbo.
• Nothing matches the Turbo for Air POWER! The Turbo pushes air 5,560 feet per minute at an incredible 1,740 RPMs and an industry leading 8,453 CFM’s. This is 22% faster and harder than the other livestock fans. Keeping your livestock cool depends on providing a push of high velocity air power to your animal.
• The Problem-Free Guard... Built for Longevity! Constructed of extra-thick 7 gauge and 11 gauge steel wire that is formed into a continuous one-piece spiral formation for reinforced strength that is not provided in other fans. This engineered craftsmanship has proven to create strength that is virtually crushproof! Baked-on powder coat treatment for corrosion resistance and a cleaner appearance. No other fan guard withstands the rigors of the show road like the Turbo.
• The Dominant Motor Performance ... We have over-engineered the Turbo motor for added performance. The premium Nidec-Emerson 1/2 HP sealed ball bearing motor features a very important component, a 10% larger internal stator and rotor ‘stack’ for more horse power than standard 1/2 HP

Today is HOT! As in 98+ degrees HOT! I am so not ready for summer heat before the end of April, but as I sit in my house with the air conditioner on and the fan going, I realize that summer will be here before we know it, and there are many ways to prepare for those long, hot, dry, days ahead.
P.O. Box 41430 • San Jose, CA 95160 (408) 776-7611 • Fax (408) 776-9811
First of all, don’t forget to take care of your animals when it is hot. With county and state fairs and Junior Nationals coming right up on us, pre-planning is essential to the comfort and health of all those animals you have worked so hard on all these past months. Figure out ways to keep your animals cool and comfortable at home and also when you are on the road. We all load up the trailer with show supplies, load up the truck with our stuff, load the animals in the trailer, and then we hop in the truck and turn on the AC. Have you thought about how hot the inside of a trailer can get as you go down the highway? Maybe traveling early in the morning or in the evening is the best way to go, or hooking up a cooling system inside the trailer and opening air vents will help you out. You want your animals to arrive at their destination ready to show, not taking days to recuperate and revive. It is also a good idea to offer water every time you stop for fuel, and if it's a long trip you can plan ahead for a place to unload and lay over. Even getting out of the travel for a few hours to move around, water up, and rest is a big help in keeping your animals feeling their best.

Something else that has been on my mind is learning from mistakes. We are definitely never too old to make them and, whether intentional or not, it is always best to address the situation and apologize or do what is needed to make it better. From not doing as well on a test because we didn’t study, or clipping too much hair in the wrong place, not winning showmanship because you didn’t watch the judge, or…. like me! Using a photo in an article that was perceived in an adverse way. It wasn’t an intentional mistake; nevertheless, it needed to be apologized for and certainly learned from. How a person moves forward from their mistake, makes things right, or does better in the future goes a long way toward toward making a bad situation better. And makes you a better person in the future!

Fair season is in full swing. Here in California we are dealing with drought, lack of grass, high feed costs, and higher costs for most things. We are so fortunate, though, that our junior livestock raisers are still going strong and believing in agriculture and the joys of raising an animal to show and sell at the fair. For you junior exhibitors, I encourage you to work even harder to talk to potential buyers. Tell them about your projects, why it is important to you, why agriculture is important, why your fair is important. Ask for their support so you can continue raising animals or pursue your education from your livestock endeavors. The support is out there; you just have to look for it.
Time to Plan Ahead! The July/August Issue is our
