Personal Statement I am currently coming to the end of my second year on a BA HONS Fashion and brand management course at UCLAN University in Preston. The course has many modules including: Marketing, brand promotion, trend prediction and development. My current job is a retail assistant at Matalan, I have learnt a lot while working there and love to see new trends and how they are marketed within the store. I am a polite, confident person who can deal with situations well under pressure. I also worked part time as an administration assistant for Nu Choice Vending for 3 years, during this time I would organise meetings, complete spread sheet data, and use my skills with adobe software to help design business cards and leaflets for the company. I have also helped run an EBAY business which sources and sells products, my involvement in this was researching competitors and live help,
I found this experience invaluable and learnt a lot about running your own internet based business. As well as immersing myself in Fashion I also enjoy photography and have the benefit of doing this freelance for events, styling shoots, weddings and portraits, I am constantly meeting new people and love working as a team. Trend prediction and research is a key area in my course at university and it is an area which I have found I excel at and enjoy the most. My short term aim for the future is to gain experience in the fashion industry as a fashion buyer.

WEB DESIGN
This was a promotion/website development project, here I have taken the brand Cobra beer and promoted it so it would become more popular for females as well as males which are the main target market for the brand. I did this through the development of the Cobra website. I created a theme for the site ‘Girls night in & Boys night out’ the site was split into two sections – a girls section where there are selected cookbook recipes, fun games, and a beauty section for girls to enjoy with Cobra. There is also a Boys night out’ section, here you could chose the best restaurants and bars which sell Cobra, read reviews and book tables via the website.
- 2 sections of site - pop up windows link to each section - simple navigation bar at top of pop up window
Online Development Cobra Promotion Online development project, I chose a brand with which I could develop their website to bring in more potential customers.
- hyper links to relivant websites

Barry M Promotion For this I have taken a styling shoot I photographed and reworked it into forms of promotion for the make-up brand Barry M. By looking at the target customer for the brand which is teenagers and young adults I wanted to make the adverts bright, eye catching and fun. Here is the final outcome which is a one page magazine spread, and an adshell.

I designed this app to work with the target market of the show which is a core female adult audience. The app is an advice app, which the presenters of the show will give. The target audience of the show tune in to listen to the opinions of the panel so here is an app which they can get their advice straight to their phone. The app aims to make viewers feel a more personal connection to the presenters and promote the show.
Loose Women App design Assessment was to design an app. I chose the brand Loose women which is a gossip show with a panel of women stating their personal opinions on topics of interest.
The show is Fun, Opinionated, Honest, Light, Tongue in Cheek..
