SUMMARY I am a Portuguese senior architect currently based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Since my graduation in 1998, I’ve collaborated with several award winning architecture studios, real estate developers and contractors. I´ve successfully delivered works and projects to private investors, multinational companies and public institutions in Portugal, North African countries, Portuguese speaking African countries and Saudi Arabia.

As a result of my professional practice I’ve been invited in numerous occasions to publish my projects prestigious publications, participate in workshops and exhibitions, lecturing and teaching in universities.

Since June 2013, I’m a Senior Architect/Head of Design at SONDOS Real Estate and I’ve been directly coordinating a team of over 20 in-house architects and several external consultancies (3D visualization & animation, engineering specialities, property management and marketing) engaged in the project of a large mixed-use development, including a five star hotel and spa, department stores, hospital, medical college, supermarket, offices and serviced apartments, located in Riyadh, KSA. My role in the company also includes constant communicating with senior shareholders, future operators (retail & hospitality), brand partners (high-end market), investors, suppliers and contractors.

I am interested in Design as a creative discipline that interacts dynamically with other technical specialties and integrates social, economical and environmental inputs in order to conceive and deliver the best optimized solution to any specific need.
