IN THE CONTEXT OF In the context of was used to generate ideas from the given surroundings of the existing campus. My ‘In the context of’ was inspried by Blegian Library in University of Cincinnati. By rotating the main sequence path and blending them together, I was able to create a new entrance.

ALMS INSERTION IN THE SPIRIT OF In the spirit of generated ideas from a metaphor, analogy, ritual or experience. We each got a random phrase, and I was assigned an epiphany and catfishing. Creating a round punched window was to give a break and representing both of my phrases.

ALMS INSERTION
03
Designing an ‘insertion’ or spatial addition into the existing fabric of a building. The Alms building, which is the original building in the DAAP complex will be used as the site for the insertion. Designing new entry space and a sequence through the building to a destination crit space/ gallery space for small groups to gather, review work and exhibit work. Inspired by 3 good motivations, I combined the main ideas in to this final insertion, openness. Because we took 3 specific iterations, I tried to keep all 3 main ideas in 3 of my floors so that each of the floors has a different story or theme.

We were each given a famous piece of residential architecture to study and analyze. My case study was focused on Maison A bordeaux by OMA. The main purpose of this project was to improve our Autocad and Rhino skills as well as go in depth about learning about a prominent architect. It was a great opportunity to learn more about this house. Researching the architectecture allowed me to learn interesting things about the architect and understand how the architect came up with this famous piece of architecture.

The goal of this project is to create an Islamic screen inspired by an exisiting pattern. After developing it to my screen, I created a structure using rhino in order to project my screen on top. This project is an ongoing project requires a skill of Autocoad, Rhinoceros, and V-ray.

Blegian Library Site Analysis Diagram This is a diagram to analyze the Blegian library in University of Cincinnati. We manily focused on the proportion, light, path, and void to understand this building. I diagramed hierarchy to show what would be the most interesting and helpful information for the people who are visiting this place for their first time.

Combining my interests in furniture design and architecture, I decided to design something that breaks the frame and creates a house or bulding composed completely of chairs. I finally came up with a complex building containing restuartants, a cafe, and a clothing store. This project is very focused on the elevations and exterior of the structure. I approached this project with a new way of thinking that was completely focused on the integration of a repeating element that is used in our day to day lives.

RECONSTRUC
This is an exercise of reconstructing a building that already exists and exploring different design processes. I took major elemetns from The Guggenheime Museum and reconstructed a new structure that utilizes the same elements as the precedent. I tried to manipulate these elements in order to investigate different design possibilites.

GUGGENHEIME & BRIDGE
Inspired by the amount of bridges in my country, I decide to create a bridge in my own way by using different colors of thread to study how it looks to incorporate the gradient created by. It was both material, color study and desiginig new shape of bridge.
