Here are a few ways to take care of your mental wellbeing:

Unplugging

With all that is happening in the world such as never ending crime, violence, natural disasters, sickness, poverty etc it is good to take a break and unplug from all of this.

While its good to keep abreast of all that is happening sometimes it can be too much. This also applies to unplugging from social media.

Taking Care of yourself at a scheduled time

Limiting & Managing Known Stressors

When you feel and look your best you are able to function better.

This entails eating well, incorporating exercise frequently, resting, reading your bible, taking vacations and days off from work, indulging in self-care routines.

Incorporating Journaling into Your Weekly Routune

You'll find that the ability to release your emotions without the addition of your speaking voice allows for a unique type of peace, and gives you space to sort through your thoughts and emotions a lot better.

If ever the idea of 'boundaries' made you feel 'mean', it's time to shake that feeling and be about that life. Whether it's a person, an organization, a habit, or something of the sort, it's time to wean yourself from that thing if you know that your body is actually reacting negatively and you have multiple, associated emotional triggers.

Set yourself free from as many of these as possible.

Do the Things You Love; Travel, Reading, Songwriting, Knitting, you name it

Journaling can come in many formswhether video vlogs, writing, recorded memos, etc. Whichever feels most natural and effective for you.

Sometimes, simple joys can bring the level of peace and release that we didn't know we needed. It's time to allow yourself to experience that.

Seek Help

Sometimes, we get to a place where we feel trapped by our own thoughts and emotions and when that happens, we begin to spiral in ways we would have never expected.

One of the best things you can do for yourself is to seek help whether professionally or from an unbiased/objective party who has your best interest at heart.

Sometimes, the very fact that someone is willing to hear you out without judgment makes the world of a difference.

Give Yourself Grace

Not beating yourself up over not reaching a goal or milestone in the time you wanted. Recognizing that by being consistent and committing your plans to God, you will achieve and receive all that He has in store for you.

Stop the comparisons. We all have our unique path in life and it's important for us to embrace our own.

Catch Up with Friends & Family Who Mean You Well

Yes, we added on that last part because we will never take anyone's family situation for granted.

If you have the privilege of knowing a few friends or family members who truly mean you well, work on making the effort to keep the connection and nurture a healthy relationship.

Maybe this looks like a dinner outing once a quarter or paintballing every now and then. Whatever you choose to do - be intentional.

Date Yourself & Learn to Prioritize YOU

This is primarily linked to your self-love and selfacceptance, journeys. Learn about yourself. Love on yourself. Allow yourself to feel, to dream, to love and to live while being fair to yourself and recognizing your power and importance.

We truly hope that these tips help you on your own journey of effectively nurturing yourself so that you can put the best YOU forward.
