I also believe that I am walking in a generational blessing as my late grandparents, Vernon and Olive James, were also in the field of horticulture.

That was really inspiring, especially with the fact that this is generational. We believe firmly in legacy, and are excited for your future based on the foundation that has been set for you! So, how has the journey been for you thus far?

Hey Amanda! We're excited to be able to connect with you to speak about your unique, creative business! Let's go ahead and jump right in!

Firstly: What’s the story behind you starting this business?

Amanda: This business started with me purchasing a plant arrangement, which someone saw me with, liked, and was interested in buying. The word then spread, and I started buying and selling plant arrangements until I decided to design and assemble my own.

I am happy to say that I tried it and it worked! This business would have seemed to have started out of a “coincidence” but it wasn’t as I am sure Jesus Christ orchestrated it.

Amanda: The journey has been an exciting one also filled with hard work. I absolutely enjoy it and I wouldn’t trade it for anything! Once you know you are called to do something then that gives you the drive and tenacity to get through your hardest day. With God’s help and the support of loved ones and friends, I manage to keep going and growing.

We're happy to hear that! What would you say has been the most rewarding aspect of building this business?

Amanda: The most rewarding aspect of building this business is to see how beautifully harmonious Godgiven creativity and knowledge can be. Through Godgiven creativity and knowledge in the craft, this business has been able to bless many lives and lift many hearts. It is always rewarding to see people smile walking away with a memorable and blessed experience of our products and or services.

Amanda: Creative House of Plants Etcetera offers products which are very unique. You will benefit from services designed from a genuine heart and passion for serving and exceeding the needs of our clients and potential clients.

Amanda: Trust the Lord to guide you…He will blow your mind with the directions and levels he can take you! God will help you make your business and career-life thrive. He is doing it for me so I know He will do it for you. We can truly sense your passion as you share! What is the type of impact you desire to make through what you share and create?

Amanda: I would like our business to have an islandwide and ultimate worldwide positive impact. This desired impact would be on persons in the area of spirituality and emotions through our Christ-inspired creations and content. We hope to be the next household name in our field.

So, Amanda, the truth is there are other 'plant shops' in Jamaica. What would you say sets this business apart from others?

Amanda: I believe that the uniqueness of our plant creations set us apart due to our Christ-inspired designs coupled with our genuine passion for service.
