Behind the Bar
If you have not had the privilege to meet Shelby, the Bartender at Buffalo’s, I suggest ordering a drink at the bar. Like the rest of the staff, Shelby was excited to be back behind the bar at Buffalos where she constructed the new drink menu. When designing the menu, Shelby wanted to dive deep into different flavor profiles, ensuring there was a cocktail or mocktail for everyone to enjoy. She also wanted there to be a story behind each specially crafted cocktail.
Her favorite cocktail that Buffalos is featuring is The Dreamer
The Dreamer is one of the top-selling drinks at Buffalos. “When Buffalos come to you in a dream you think of strength and abundance.” Shelby wanted this drink to reflect that story. She combines lavender seeds and lemon juice with an indigo empress gin, giving the drink a vibrant purple color. The Dreamer is then topped off with a smoke bubble. The smoke bubble is popped when the drink arrives at the table, and the smoke is released as if entering a dream sequence.
Shelby’s favorite thing about bartending is the performance. She went to school for Performing Arts in Theatre, which carries over into her bartending. She loves being able to get to know the community and Members that stop into Buffalos. “I love knowing that I get to let people relax and enjoy themselves,” Shelby adds. “Bartending gives me a way to be creative and allow Members to have a great time making memories at our restaurant.”
