The sun shone brightly through the car windows. I looked at my watch. It was 9:30 am. We drove into the car park, and I got out of the car. The students began to congregate inside KB Sentraal, checking in with their teachers, and setting up their stalls. They were ready. At 10:00 am, the event known as Satu Impian began. Local students as well as our own Middle Years representatives worked side by side, showing off the fruits of their labor. A collaboration of middle years and local students demonstrated their talents, dancing, singing, and displaying their linguistic abilities through a series of poems performed in Malay. Friends, family and people from the community wandered the stalls, eager to view the products and exhibitions.Multiple demonstrations could be viewed throughout the day, such as a demonstration in the making of organic soaps, and also a recycled plastic bottle stool. At 12:30, the event came to a close. The stalls were packed up and their owners left. However their packed up stalls were not the only things they took home. They also left with the memories of collaboration and knowledge. William and Alfie

Our project Satu Impian was about helping the earth. We were separated in different groups and everyone came up with different ideas to do as our group projects. We worked very hard on our products so they could become the best that they could be. On Saturday morning M1s and M2s came to KB Sentral to advertise our products. The P3s and P2s came to explain what their groups did, as well as a school from KB. Unfortunately, we could not sell our products but we could still show them off. Parents and people shopping around the mall came to see what we have been working on for the last 8 weeks. Some groups demonstrated how we made our things, whilst others just showed pictures. All of the groups made different things to show others how we can support our earth. - Sof ia & Nicole

M elilas Celebr at ion of Lear n in g Day On 8th July 2019, M1 and M2 students will be going to Jerudong Oark to celebrate all the effort they put in this year. It wasn?t an easy task to be able to go to Jerudong Park as we had to earn 120 bankaroo dollars which we earned by following the animal Learning Qualities such as Enquiry, Communication, Reflection, Adaptability, Confidence, Resiliense, Creativity, Cooperation, Respect and Organisation. All of Melilas worked hard and earned the right to be able to go to Jerudong Park. We are all looking forward to going.

M ovin g t o n ew places Change is something we cannot avoid, it is inevitable. Melilas students are always going to experience some type of change. This time around the most significant change will be our lovely M2s leaving. They will have to learn to adapt. They will have to learn to adapt to high school, a whole new campus and much more. But we are all very happy for them to be moving up. However, it's not only the M2s that are experiencing change, the M1s are too. Although one of the changes is that we'll be missing some of our friends from M2, the other thing that will change for the M1s is that they will be the next M2 class. They will be the role models of the school. Of course that is very stressful, but they'll learn to adapt to it after a while. Furthermore, Melilas aren't the only part of the school that are experiencing change, the P7s are too. They will soon be moving up to Melilas and they will have to learn to work with the new M2s. The M1s and M2s are usually very close and work on many projects with each other. We will have to say goodbye (but not forever) to our beloved M2s, and say hello to our new M1s - the current P7s. We will have to adapt to a lot of things, but again change is inevitable.

M 2 Gr adu at ion It will be very sad to see the M2s leave Panaga School this year. The M2s and M1s have worked very closely together this year and all those memories will be treasured. The M2s have been great leaders this year; we have learned lots from them. At the graduation, Miss Cindy will hand them each a certificate. Some of the M1s have prepared a poem for the M2s which they will recite. Other Melilas students have prepared a performance on the M2s behalf. We hope to see you in the near future and that you will have a great time at your new destination. By Elisabeth and Olanna

Farewell M 2 It w ill be so sad to see the M 2s go, but as life moves on, we must celebr ate the achievements they have accomplished. In the gr aduation, we w ill be celebr ating their achievements w ith a cer emony . The cer emony w ill take par t in the Ter aja Hall at 7:30 am on Fr iday July 5th. The cer emony w ill consist of far ewells and memor ies the students w ill take w ith them. As mentioned, we know that it w ill be sad to see them go but ever y one eventually moves and next y ear it w ill be our tur n to move on so it?s impor tant we celebr ate. We know our lives ar e not static so let?s appr eciate the good times we have together . Hopefully , we w ill see y ou again soon. Far ewell M 2 and we w ish y ou all the best in the next chapter of y our lives and r emember y our still par t of Panaga, y ou w ill never be a str anger . For the M 1s w ho ar e enter ing M 2, we need to star t to pr epar e, but far ewell M 2.

I have really enjoyed my two years of being in Middle Years at Panaga School. It has been great to grow friendships with people from all around the globe! This school is a place that I will always remember. Everybody is so welcoming and everybody accepts everybody for who they are which is great and nobody ever gets left out. Throughout my time here I feel like I have come on a lot with my school work. - Abigail

Things always seem to change To any extent, the widest range Anything can change, including me Everyone changes, that?s guaranteed The colour of your hair, eyes or even skin But nobody should change what?s within Toxic people are the ones that don?t accept you If they treat you like that, I think you need someone new Kindness and love, you?ll always find If you can't, just look behind - St eph an ie

I will miss this school, even though I have only been here for less than a year. There have been ups and downs but I will forever cherish those moments. I will miss my teachers, for they have made such huge sacrifices for us. I will miss my classmates very much even if we have different opinions sometimes. Good luck M1s, I hope you have an even better time than we did and cherish every moment you have. - Ch er ise

To t h e t each er Thank you, Teacher For reaching deep into me To find all I can be, Before I could find myself, You had hope in me and Made sure I succeed in life, Thanks to you, Now I have a dream to chase. Even though I haven?t been here long, I made great memories with new people who help me to be adapt in new situation. I was scared to speak when I came here because I thought that I would embarrass myself but the teacher welcomed me while the students tried to make me feel welcome, and I was. To everyone who will be new to Panaga, just remember don?t be afraid of having new people enter your life because the great thing about new friends is that they bring new energy to soul. You can make better friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.

- M ae

'Goodbye doesn?t mean the end, it does not say forever, it just means we will see each other soon.? Bye Panaga, you have changed me but not in the bad way, when I arrived here in P4, I was that shy kid who struggled to make friends but as the years went by I made so many friends all over the world from Canada, Oman, Egypt, England, Scotland, Nigeria. It was all those people that changed me into the person I am today. - Olivia Goodbye Pan aga I will miss Panaga School a lot. I have been here since P4, so I have settled in. I still remember back when I arrived, when all these girls came rushing up to me, wanting to be my friends. Since then, these girls have all left, but the good thing about an expat community is that new people arrive all the time, so you can always make more friends. I am sad to leave after all these years, but excited to go to high school. Good luck M1s for your move to M2. I hope you enjoy being at the top of the school! For P7s, you need to be a lot more responsible in Middle Years (plus you get more homework), but it is a lot of fun. - Lau r en

I Will M iss Pan aga I will miss Panaga because of all the great stuff I?ve done here like going on the great school trips and learning about different cultures and different ways of living. I will also miss my friends who I have messed around with for almost two years and it?s going to be hard to find good friends like them. I will also miss having lessons with my mum because we can chat and she pushes me to get good grades, but I will miss this school because it?s so chilled out and is a nice way to experience middle school before I go to high school. - St an ley I'll miss Panaga because it was always a warm welcoming school. There were loads of friends to be made and most people got along. Also this school does awesome residentials which I've never been on before. All the teachers have always been supporting and helpful so it'll be hard to find teachers that are kind again. Even though I've only been here for two years, I've enjoyed every bit of it. My friends were always there for me and helped me out in tough situations no matter what. Seeing monkeys in my backyard was also a new experience. All of the good times I've had here will be hard to forget. This is why I'll miss Panaga.

- Ow en

Goodbye Panaga School! You have been here with me for half my life and I am very sad that it is coming to an end. You have given me an incredible childhood and you have prepared me for everything. Thank you for keeping me entertained throughout the years that I have stayed here. I have not dreamt of missing one day of school, except if it is Friday. You have made me a very happy person. You have taught me to be more resilient, confident, and to be more independent. Panaga School is a place where I could test my limits. Panaga School was a place where I could socialise with everyone without getting judged. It is really sad to be leaving the place where I have stayed half my life. This is truly one of the most sad and rewarding things in my life. - Dan iel

Wh y I w ill m iss Pan aga Sch ool

I will miss Panaga School because of all the memories I have made, I will miss the times I had with my friends that left and will miss the lessons we had. I had so much fun going on school trips and visiting places with friends and teachers as well as acquiring knowledge from my learning experiences. My teachers have taught me very well, but I haven?t just acquired academic knowledge, I have also learned about who we are as people and how to treat each other. There will be no other school the same as Melilas and I will always cherish the memories I had here. - Th om as
