Panaga School

Dear Panaga School Community,

Since our last edition of Panaga School Biweekly (PSB), our days at Panaga School have been filled with great learning, sporting events, eventful after school activities, our Parent and Teacher Association (PTA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the most colourful and energetic celebrations of Nigeria’s 62nd Independence Day to name a few. We trust you will enjoy taking a look through the following pages that represent some of what has taken place in our vibrant learning community of late.

It is with great pleasure that we are able to introduce you to our 2022/2023 Parent and Teacher Association (PTA) officers, following last week’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Calm time ASA with Miss Mia and Miss Duck

We start with a story to relax after a busy day, before moving on to some yoga. Then we use some of the calming equipment in our ‘Sensory room’ and finish by listening to calming music while colouring in some mandalas.

We have been increasing our knowledge and deepening our understanding of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG). We highlighted the different SDGs in a recent TerajaAssembly and then discussed, in our classrooms, which goal we felt most passionate about improving. We hope to raise awareness of the SDGs within our community.

P6

Welcome to CE 900 a unit of learning filled with lots of history.

Naturally, we started to look at our own family history and we had so much fun reliving all those wonderful memories. We were also able to understand chronological order and used our Personal Qualities to communicate with our parents and friends.

Thank you for joining us for our Entry Point.

I used resilience and reflection when I did my timeline. This is all about my life that I shared with my classmateJake

I used reflection because I had to reflect on my life and I used cooperation because I had to work with my mom. - Gregory

In my timeline, in every single picture, my family and I were happy. - Ethan

In my friends timeline I got to see how they looked like when they were young - Su’Anne

I lived in Canada for 4 years and USA for 3 years. It was a fun journey! I used communication and cooperation because I work as a team with my parents and able to present them to my teachers and friends -Yasmine

I enjoyed making my timeline with my parents. It was super fun I was so cute! I shared it with some friends and teachers. - Owen

P7

What a treat it was to welcome the P7 parents and children to complete an afternoon of learning based around home, host, heritage and adopted countries. Children and parents had an opportunity to work together to produce a piece of artwork based on a river of their choice.
