in P1 and above. School assemblies focusing on Travel Safe to School will be presented on Friday 19th September. Please take the time to speak with your child about this assembly on Friday next week. Incoming teachers As discussed at the Meet the Teacher evenings this and last week, incoming teachers have had their planned arrival dates postponed as a result of changes to entry approvals. We are being kept up to date on progress through our BSP HR teams and shall communicate with relevant class parents as soon as information comes to hand on actual arrival dates. I would like to leave our school community with a beautiful photo of our school, captured by our very own Anne-Marie Boon.
The rainbow has a long history as a known symbol for peace in some cultures. May this image signify a very safe and peaceful year ahead for us all, as we continue to navigate the unbelievable global situation playing out around us. Kind regards, Cindy

Superhumans Entry Point-P2 On Friday 4th September, the P2 children started their new IPC unit of learning with a fun introduction into how our bodies work with a Human Body MOT. They used their enquiry skills as they explored and investigated how amazing their bodies are. They learnt how to check temperatures and understand why, they cooperated as they measured their heart rate before and after exercising, they looked at some x-rays to learn more about what is inside their body and they considered healthy foods.
P2 are very excited about their new IPC unit and have already reflected on the Entry Point, and as part of the Knowledge Harvest, they asked some great questions of what they would like to know and learn more about. Click here to see more photos

P5 Entry point - AN EXPLORER’S MISSION This week, the students in P5 commenced their learning about Explorers and Adventurers through the medium of a treasure hunt. The clues were primary and secondary sources linked to the famous explorer, Sir Edmund Hilary. Children reflected upon the Personal Qualities they needed to work as a team. Cooperation and resilience were the key qualities! We believe that these qualities would also have been vital for Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay.

Learning Goals 1.04 I know that the brain is a complex organ 3.02 I know about some of the different areas of the brain and their functions
We learned lots of new knowledge. We learned about the different parts of the neurons and how to spell them. We linked our IPC with Literacy and used connectives to make the sentences longer. It was great fun learning. - Murjanat
Did you know that the brain is only 15 cm long and holds 100 billion neurons ? Also each neuron connects with 10,000 other neurons.- Fergus

Connected Learning Going to P7 was one of the best experiences ever, it was so much fun and we learned some new skills. Making the jumping frogs and making new friends was amazing. I also met some of my old friends after the summer holiday. We all used our Personal Qualities learning together with P7. - Zak
All of our learning is connected, our subjects are connected and we are connected with each other. The brain learns by making connections between the brain cells related to that topic. We use our Personal Qualities to learn collaboratively every day at school.
